Chapter 1691: Chapter 32: Declaration

At this moment, high in the heavens, the aftershocks of the battle between An Jing and the Holy Demon continue to spread.

Though it has subdued quite a bit, the Taibai Wind that shatters everything still annihilates every possible trace left by the Demon, like correction fluid covering erroneous writing.

But contrary to the spreading wind, the stored white world is fading away.

Like white ink staining a red fabric, with water diluting the color, revealing the red behind bit by bit, the Cave Heaven filled with swords, wind, metal, punishment, and tribulation shrinks towards the figure in the center of the heavenly dome, the densest Taibai color returning to An Jing’s body.

Cave Heaven · Heavenly Punishment Bitter Realm.

Its unique special Daoist rules within the great cosmos are actually very simple.

That is, [rejecting anything completely solidified].

Absolute definitions, concepts fully set in stone, unchanging destinies—such things, anything solidified, will be utterly rejected, then shattered and invalidated by the Heavenly Punishment Bitter Realm, while all things that refuse to change will encounter the full force strike of An Jing’s Heavenly Venerate Extreme Realm, the highest level power of Infinite Heavy Tribulation… a power perhaps even An Jing cannot withstand.

However, it sounds somewhat strange.

You need to know that in this world, things that are completely solidified seem to be very, very many.

Whether it’s the stories and texts in books, the Daoist rules of heaven and earth, the unchanging principles since the origin of the universe…

Many things, existences, and concepts seem inherently immovable.

The world reveres the utmost solidification as the absolute, the eternal, and the infinite, that is, [a constant state that absolutely will not be changed], [a nature that will never fade through eternity] and [a power infinitely overflowing and will not retreat].

People believe that this solidification of absolute, eternal, and infinite is the highest manifestation.

But they are wrong.

A thousand stories, a thousand people reading, may not have a thousand meanings, but there are still several.

Based on the same seemingly solidified thing, different understandings exist under different cognitions.

And possibilities for these interpretations, ways of explanation, based on different languages, thought modes, the foundational aspect of the soul, and the form of the world itself, the shape of society and civilization, create innumerable possibilities.

And the story itself is evolving.

A story of a Great Saint from the Demon Race attaining Dao in the past was seen as taming the Heart Monkey’s awakening, but now people view it perhaps as unyielding resistance.

Past stories emphasizing filial piety might have aimed to highlight moral teachings, but pondering them now only brings a wry smile at the madness fostered by the recommendation system of the time.

Additionally, the meanings of words change too.

Whether it’s the character itself or the words, idioms themselves, they change their inner meaning with people’s changes.

Positive words can turn negative, neutral words can be used for sarcasm or praise… terms such as unsatisfactory, unfounded rumors, July flowing fire, unconceivably foolish, and so on, are all examples of the evolution of literal words.

Even the iron rule of the cosmos itself, the principle, is not necessarily absolute.

Under extreme conditions, the iron rule can be twisted, alienated, with new Daoist rules emerging in complex new contexts—a singularity in the violently twisted spacetime of a black hole is one such example.

And for other universes, constants and principles are also not fixed, with space for changes.

Even, is the definition of [absolute, infinite, and eternal] truly [absolute, infinite, and eternal]?

Just infinite alone can be classified into many different types: infinite reliant on definition, infinite called infinite because it’s unreachable, infinite confirmed because it stands at the supreme peak, infinite that is complete as entire, indescribable external infinite to the entire, all-encompassing infinite, infinite between self and infinite… so many, many more, and this is just conceptual exploration; the different hierarchies in mathematics and physics need not be mentioned.

[Absolute change] is also absolute, [eternal reform] is also eternal, [infinite rebirth] is also infinite…

Thus, against that [solidification], An Jing descends the heavenly punishment.

An Jing rejects anything stubborn and unaccepting of change.

In the Heavenly Punishment Cave Heaven, all absolute powers will be forcibly altered, invalidated.

There are no absolute hits. There is no absolute kill. There is no guaranteed victory, defeat, or any inevitable concept or existence.

This has the highest priority.

Of course, absolute change is also a type of absolute, a thoroughly solidified thing—this is [absolute self-reference].

Just like rejecting rejection itself is also a kind of rejection, this continual self-repetition actually touches upon [reality].

This is the only way to counter An Jing Cave Heaven, and that is to create new [lies].

The so-called [reality] is repeatedly giving the same answer to the same question, such as water flowing down with gravity, heat causing molecular motion—under conventional conditions in the real world, no matter how many times repeated, even infinitely, these things will repeatedly happen infinitely.

Reality is composed of countless repetitive answers and results, this is the essence of [reality].

In contrast, there is [lie].

A lie is an answer that has never been repeated, a power unique to an individual’s heart, a lie is the Cave Heaven itself—people lie, choosing to twist the information of the real world for their will and interest, presenting false answers to others.
