Chapter 101: OS (2)
101 – OS (2)
Lin Xun actually gave this question some serious thought.
After thinking it over, he smiled and said, “How could that be possible…”
Dong Jun: “Hmm?”
Lin Xun replied, “I don’t think I’m the type of person who would commit suicide.”
With that, looking into Dong Jun’s eyes, he continued, “See, now that I’m with my idol, there’s no need for suicide—I’m too busy enjoying life. If one day we’re no longer together, I might feel a bit sad.”
“But it wouldn’t reach the point of wanting to end my life, right?” He pursed his lips. “I still have many friends, An Quan and Jia Gou are both doing well, and there’s my sister too. I could never do something like choosing to die on my own.”
Dong Jun watched him without blinking. “What else?”
“And also… if one day, all of you were gone, and I had no connection to this world…” At this point, Lin Xun chuckled. “Well, I could still write algorithms. I still have Luo Shen. Or just give me a computer—I think I could live a pretty good life.”
He went on, “Only those who have lost all hope or suffered a huge blow would consider suicide, right? That’s not me. I always have something to do.”
But then Dong Jun asked again, “Then what do you dislike?”
“I… don’t really have anything I strongly dislike.” Lin Xun thought as he spoke. “I’m quite a positive person, in good mental shape.”
“Though, I guess I’ve never liked being controlled by others since I was little,” he added.
Dong Jun: “You prefer freedom?”
Lin Xun: “You could say that.”
He leaned down, nuzzling against Dong Jun, and gently stroked Dong Jun’s hair just as Dong Jun usually smoothed his fur. “Anyway, I don’t have any psychological issues.”
A hint of melancholy seemed to flicker in Dong Jun’s eyes.
Lin Xun thought to himself that this person before him had lost someone very important.
Maybe it was his mother, maybe it was Lo—it didn’t matter anymore. In any case, he wouldn’t let such a thing happen again.
He hugged Dong Jun. “Unless you don’t want to be with me anymore, I definitely won’t leave.”
Dong Jun took his finger and brought it to his lips. “Really?”
Lin Xun: “Really.”
As he spoke, he reached out and touched Dong Jun’s lips. They were slightly cool but very soft.
The next moment, those thin lips parted slightly, gently taking his finger. Something pressed against his fingertip, and when Lin Xun looked down, the sight sent a shiver through him.
“Don’t be so skilled at this—I can’t handle it.” He tried to pull his hand back, but Dong Jun firmly held his wrist.
Dong Jun curved his lips slightly, his lips lightly brushing Lin Xun’s fingertip before moving upward to the back of his hand. He was focused, like a butterfly kissing a rose.
A fine, tingling sensation traveled upward from his nerve endings, making Lin Xun’s scalp tingle.
Only after kissing his entire hand did Dong Jun look up and open his arms toward him.
As someone who knew how to read the mood, Lin Xun naturally leaned in to let him hold him.
Dong Jun’s voice was slightly hoarse. “You’re so obedient.”
Lin Xun: “I’m the best at being obedient.”
Dong Jun chuckled softly.
Lin Xun pulled away again, studying Dong Jun’s expression.
Dong Jun: “Hmm?”
Lin Xun was still a bit concerned. He asked, “Have you done this with anyone else before?”
Dong Jun: “No.”
Lin Xun: “Really not?”
Since he had already asked Lo today and his jealous image was thoroughly exposed in Dong Jun’s eyes, he might as well take the opportunity to ask everything he wanted to know.
“No.” The smile in Dong Jun’s eyes was gentle. “Only you.”
“Then I’ll believe you for now.” Lin Xun muttered softly.
Dong Jun looked into his eyes. “For now?”
Lin Xun: “In case you’re lying to me.”
Dong Jun’s fingers brushed past his cheek. His eyes were like a deep, unfathomable pool, yet with a faint glimmer of light, like the radiance of stars. He spoke slowly, word by word: “I will never lie to you.”
The solemnity in his tone took Lin Xun by surprise. In another context, he might have almost thought it was some kind of vow.
And he truly believed it.
Not because the words were particularly reasonable or convincing, or because his tone was so persuasive.
Facing someone like this, with such an expression, whatever he said, you would believe it.
He buried himself back into Dong Jun’s embrace. Dong Jun’s arm wrapped around his shoulder, initially with a firm grip, but just as it was about to tighten, it gradually relaxed, ending with only a light hold.
Lin Xun let out a soft sigh. He felt he had finally figured out what Dong Jun wanted.
He was probably a very insecure person, so he wanted to cling tightly to something. That time when Xue Xin called him and Dong Jun overheard, he didn’t let him say another word. A few days ago, when he injured his leg outside, Dong Jun told the doctor that if he sneaked out again, he’d break his leg—and the tone couldn’t have been more serious.
But in their time together these past days, Dong Jun hadn’t shown this need very clearly. He was like the perfect lover—considerate, gentle, and endlessly indulgent. Lin Xun didn’t think this was real. Dong Jun truly wasn’t that kind of person. A programmer’s code was like a painter’s canvas; anyone who had seen Dong Jun’s code would know he couldn’t possibly be a gentle, easygoing person.
“If you feel insecure, you can hold me tighter,” Lin Xun said to him. “I won’t be afraid.”
Dong Jun’s arm tightened slightly. “Don’t you prefer more freedom?”
“That depends on the situation,” Lin Xun replied. “You can hold me as tight as you want, really. It’s fine if you want to lock me up too, just leave me a computer. We fans have no limits when it comes to our idol—”
He couldn’t finish his sentence because Dong Jun’s right hand clasped his neck.
With his throat restrained, Lin Xun was at his mercy, pressed down by Dong Jun and kissed until he was utterly disoriented.
His body went limp. After being released from the brink of suffocation, he gasped heavily, only to be pulled up again. His fingers were spread and pressed back against the pillow, and a patch of skin on his neck was bitten hard—not a kiss, but a bite. He finally realized he probably shouldn’t have provoked Dong Jun like that.
“I was wrong,” he said, not only good at listening but also at admitting mistakes. “I have no limits, but you can’t be so harsh with me. I prefer gentleness. Let me off this time, and we can discuss it, okay? My idol, Dong Jun, brother…”
It was useless.
His pajama collar was already pulled open, and other parts of him were restrained.
He thought calling him “brother” hadn’t worked—should he call him “daddy”?
—No, that really wouldn’t do. He couldn’t bring himself to say it.
A wise man knows when to yield. Once he accepted there was no escape, he reluctantly relaxed his body, whimpering as he tugged at Dong Jun’s collar.
Dong Jun’s hair fell, brushing against his neck, a little ticklish. He brushed it aside and looked up to meet Dong Jun’s gaze.
The moon had reached its zenith, its light brighter than before. At the corners of Dong Jun’s eyes, or perhaps beneath them, there was a faint, almost imperceptible flush of red, lending his otherwise cool features an otherworldly, almost ethereal allure. Yet the expression in those eyes was so profound—if gazes could solidify, Lin Xun felt he would already be tightly bound by several chains. He found it hard to withstand, lowering his gaze only to see the firm, beautiful lines of his idol’s chest rising and falling with each breath, a sight so captivating it was almost unbearable. He wanted to look away but couldn’t, finally closing his eyes and tilting his head up to seek a kiss.
This time, it was surprisingly gentle.
As the gentleness lingered, he was released and properly settled into his place, needing only a hint of drowsiness to fall perfectly asleep.
Lin Xun: “?”
He opened his eyes, his gaze expressing confusion.
He watched as his idol leisurely fastened his buttons, his movements so elegant and composed it was almost infuriating.
“Let’s leave it for today,” Dong Jun said calmly, his voice still carrying a pleasant huskiness. “We’ll wait until your leg is better.”
Lin Xun grabbed a nearby pillow and hugged it, saying, “So you’re determined to make me kneel.”
Dong Jun smiled faintly, wrapping his arms around his shoulders and lying down peacefully as if nothing had just happened. “Even if you don’t kneel, your knees will still be involved.”
Lin Xun: “.”
He realized he had once again underestimated just how terrifying this person could be.
Tonight’s events reminded him of a widely circulated motivational story.
If you lock a person who wants candy in a room with a piece of candy, and if they can resist eating it for an hour, they’ll get two pieces afterward.
If you were that person, would you choose to eat one piece now or resist and have two in an hour?
His idol was clearly the latter.
Fine, you’re really something.
