Chapter 415: Never Wasting

Xu Sanyan stopped in his tracks, listening to the coquettish laughter. He couldn’t help but curse inwardly, That little slut, she really knows how to play.

As he moved forward, the laughter grew clearer, and the chaotic footsteps indicated there were more than two people ahead.

Is that little slut playing multiple partners?

Xu Sanyan’s anger flared. Truly, rivers may change course, but a person’s nature remains fixed. Even the Demonic Seed couldn’t suppress the Chang Family’s lecherous tendencies.

The three men concealed their presence, hiding in the shadows at the cave entrance. Xu Sanyan peered inside and saw three young men, completely naked and blindfolded, chasing Chang Yulian based on the sound of her laughter. The four of them were having a wild time.

Chang Yulian, also completely naked, darted around, evading their grasp.

Xu Sanyan gritted his teeth. Damn it, she’s playing even wilder than me?

He had never indulged in such games himself. What right does Chang Yulian have to set the latest trends?

The two Golden Blade Envoys remained motionless, turning to Xu Sanyan for his opinion on whether to strike.

Xu Sanyan nodded expressionlessly and suddenly sprang from behind the cave’s corner, his face radiating righteous fury as he roared, “Vile Demoness! You dare disregard human morality and slaughter innocent lives with impunity! Your crimes deserve death! Show no mercy!”

His voice shook the cave like the thunder of a celestial being, its thunderous resonance revealing the burning rage within. The sound echoed endlessly through the cavern.

Xu Sanyan glared fiercely, his eyes wide with fury, as if the scene before him had shattered his very worldview.

Witnessing this, the two Golden Blade Envoys exchanged approving nods. What a righteous young man!

Even Li Wuxing, who was exploring a nearby Blood Pool, heard the commotion clearly. He immediately abandoned his search and flew swiftly toward Xu Sanyan and the others.

The sudden outburst startled Chang Yulian, causing her ample breasts to tremble. She whirled around, relief flooding her face when she saw Xu Sanyan. But before she could speak, a surging wave of energy slammed into her.

“Demoness who tramples on human lives! Prepare to meet your end!”

Xu Sanyan gave her no chance to speak, his first strike aimed for death.

“Spare her!!”

Li Wuxing’s voice arrived before he did, followed by a dark beam of light that shot toward Chang Yulian, seemingly to rescue her.

Chang Yulian hadn’t recovered from the shock. She stared blankly at the approaching wave of energy, unable to comprehend why her master would send someone to kill her.

Was it just because she’d slept with a few men?

That was so petty!

You can sow your seed everywhere, but I’m not allowed to welcome your offspring with open arms?

Boom!

The wave of energy crashed into her, sending debris flying through the cave. It swept across Chang Yulian’s bewildered and terrified face, highlighting Xu Sanyan’s righteous fury. The two Golden Blade Envoys stared in shock, while the three young men, who had just removed their blindfolds, remained clueless.

Time seemed to freeze in this tableau until a dark beam of light pierced through space, shattering the stillness and bringing everything back to life.

Pfft!

Chang Yulian coughed up blood as she slammed against the wall. The massive recoil shook the entire cave. The two Golden Blade Envoys widened their eyes, their hearts tightening as they felt the lingering energy from the earlier strike. They never imagined that this handsome young man was actually a Soul Refining Realm cultivator!

A Grand Formation Master and a Soul Refinement Cultivator?

Did he start cultivating in the womb?

Whoosh—

The dark light finally arrived, but it was too late. Chang Yulian coughed up a large mouthful of blood, staining her snow-white breasts crimson. Her almond-shaped eyes were unfocused, her chest heaving violently like a broken bellows wheezing with each breath. She was clearly on the verge of death.

Li Wuxing moved like a phantom wind to Chang Yulian’s side, disregarding the difference in gender as he pressed a palm against her chest, channeling vital energy to heal her wounds.

But Xu Sanyan had struck with the intent to kill, leaving no room for recovery. Though Chang Yulian still seemed to be breathing, her internal organs had already been shattered. Even a Great Luo Golden Immortal would struggle to save her.

With no time to spare, Li Wuxing asked urgently, “Do you have any accomplices? Speak your last words now.”

Cough, cough—

Chang Yulian seemed to want to speak, but a fresh torrent of blood gushed from her mouth. Her head lolled to the side, and she fell silent.

“Ah…”

Li Wuxing sighed deeply, turning to glance at Xu Sanyan without uttering a word of blame. Xu Sanyan’s expression was even more furious than his own.

“Demonic path demonfolk! Death is too good for them! I wish I could flay them alive, tear out their bones, and devour their flesh raw!” Xu Sanyan snarled through gritted teeth, his eyes blazing with savage fury.

“Enough,” Li Wuxing said. “The woman is dead. It’s a pity the trail ends here. We still don’t know if there are others behind her.”

Li Wuxing rose and began searching the area for further clues.

Xu Sanyan hurried over to the three young men, pulling out clothes from his storage pouch to drape over them. Seeing their terrified expressions, Xu Sanyan’s face softened with a pang of sorrow. He spoke gently, “Don’t be afraid. We’re from the government. You’re safe now.”

“Waaah…”

“Thank you, Celestial Immortal! Thank you, Celestial Immortal!”

“This humble servant kowtows to the Celestial Immortal!”

The three men knelt and began to kowtow in gratitude, but Xu Sanyan quickly stopped them. “There’s no need for that. Protecting the realm and its people is our duty. In truth, we’re to blame for arriving too late. So many innocent lives were lost… Ah, my heart aches with regret…”

Li Wuxing remained expressionless at Xu Sanyan’s words, but the two Golden Blade Envoys couldn’t hide their embarrassment. Isn’t this just cursing a deaf man in front of a mute?

How outrageous!

Yet, mindful of Xu Sanyan’s formidable strength, they dared not speak.

Xu Sanyan’s performance had been flawless, save for his excessive ruthlessness, which could be excused under the circumstances.

Li Wuxing suddenly inquired, “Brother Liang, as County Magistrate Yu’s junior brother, you must be quite young. To have achieved such a cultivation level at your age truly speaks to your exceptional talent.”

The remark was both a compliment and a probe.

Li Wuxing’s understanding of Xu Sanyan was based solely on Yu Huisheng’s account, lacking any concrete evidence. Moreover, the young man’s youthful appearance contrasted sharply with his extraordinary cultivation level and mastery of formations, suggesting he harbored many secrets.

Xu Sanyan seemed oblivious to the hidden meaning behind Li Wuxing’s words. He waved his hand dismissively, his enthusiasm waning. “I’m about the same age as my senior brother; he simply entered the sect earlier. As for talent…”

Xu Sanyan, however, showed no false modesty. He lifted his chin and declared, “I’m quite capable, I’d say. Master says all my meridians are clear, making me a natural-born cultivator with a seven-aperture exquisite heart. I grasp things at a glance and master them with ease—it’s innate talent, something others can’t learn.”

“Your master speaks the truth,” Li Wuxing acknowledged, already forming a rough understanding of the situation.

At that moment, Yu Huisheng cautiously emerged from the tunnel, his eyes scanning the carnage and the naked female corpse lying nearby. He tentatively asked, “Is it over?”

“Yes. Senior Brother, are you injured?” Xu Sanyan asked, stepping forward with concern.

Yu Huisheng’s gaze swept the surroundings. “I’m fine. Did you find Hong Di?”

Li Wuxing shook his head. “He’s likely long since turned to dust.”

These three young men had been fortunate. Chang Yulian had only recently captured them and hadn’t yet tired of her games. Once she grew bored, the Blood Pool would have been their final resting place.

Play first, kill later—Chang Yulian never wasted anything.
