While Jaxen was causing a ruckus, Enkrid pushed Marcus aside as though tossing him.

“The Duke is at the palace.”

Marcus, rolling to the side, spoke. He was quick to understand the situation. Finding a spot to hide while crouched, he took cover.

There was no strength to call upon immediately, so all he could do was hide well.

He had once served as a battalion commander, but in reality, he had no subordinates following his orders.

His family didn’t side with either of the opposing factions.

Sending Enkrid to the palace meant he could do what needed to be done.
