…

The ancient astral formation began to turn. The heavens aligned, and space shifted in an instant.

A total of seven figures—old ancestors of the Profound-Hollow-Void realm from great aristocratic clans of the Dao Court—descended into the Ancestral court. Their auras were majestic, their origins vast and boundless.

The powerful Void aura capable of twisting space itself instantly flooded the entire Great Wilderness Ancestral Court.

By the customs of the cultivation world, Profound-Hollow-Void cultivators rarely appear.

Under normal circumstances, they have no opportunity to act.

But once a Profound-Hollow-Void cultivator truly emerges, free from the restraints of the Heavenly Dao and able to act across space and time, the power to shatter the boundary between illusion and reality and break the void itself is enough to crush any powerful enemy.

And now, seven Profound-Hollow-Void old monsters had arrived.

Within the Great Wilderness Ancestral Court, they faced no restrictions and could unleash their full pressure.

The flying strange slave—so terrifying that it struck fear into all beings—was instantly destroyed by the white-haired ancestor in ornate robes with a single sword strike, together with the surrounding void.

As it perished, the remaining strange slaves shrieked in rage and charged forward even more frantically.

The original flying strange slave raised its head and roared. The Strange-Dao fire wings on its back twisted and transformed, forming the rudimentary shape of a Dharma Projection.

But in the next moment, a true Dharma Aspect born from the laws themselves manifested between heaven and earth.

Boundless Dao intent surged. Clad in silver armor, majestic and solemn, wielding a blood-red spear vast and imposing, spiritual power as deep as the sea, killing intent piercing the heavens.

The Dharma Aspect of the Military Path.

It was the Void Dharma Aspect of the Yang family’s ancestor from the Dao Court’s military lineage.

The silver-armored, red-spear figure thrust once, shattering the void.

Before the flying strange slave’s ghostfire illusion could fully form, it was pierced through its origin by that spear. Together with the surrounding space, it twisted and was annihilated.

At that moment, from the Endless Abyss, black flames surged and a third flying strange slave flew out.

Yet the instant it showed its head, another Void ancestor manifested a Dharma Aspect, holding a dragon-carved great bow, and shot a Dragon arrow imbued with divine power that tore through space.

The dragon arrow directly killed the flying strange slave within the abyss.

The residual force of that arrow stirred the entire abyss into a black river. Black flames swayed violently, and the depths fell into immense turmoil.

The remaining mid- and high-rank strange slaves rushing forward were heavily injured by the shockwave. Some advanced strange slaves were crushed into fragments of space by the oppressive Void law pressure before they could even approach.

After several waves of Void pressure swept across, the tide of strange slaves boiling like a flood was reduced entirely to ashes.

Thus, all strange slaves between heaven and earth were wiped out.

Whether powerful flying strange slaves or disposable advanced strange slaves, all were slain by the Profound-Hollow-Void realm.

The black-and-white interwoven boundary between the ancestral court and the abyss was instantly cleansed.

The Great Wilderness Ancestral Court once again fell into silence.

After trembling for a while, even the Strange existence within the abyss, intimidated by the Void pressure, sank into stillness and dared not act rashly.

Everything grew quiet.

Only the shattered Seven-Star Formation, the remains of Dao Court and Imperial Observatory Bureau cultivators infected and killed by the strange slaves, and scattered white bones upon the ground still testified to the ferocity of the battle.

True-Person Huá, True-Person Jiang, and True-Person Cui were pale but breathed in relief. They bowed respectfully to the seven Profound-Hollow-Void ancestors.

“We pay our respects, Ancestors…”

The surviving cultivators of the Imperial Observatory Bureau also bowed deeply.

“Greetings, Ancestors. May your Great Dao flourish eternally, and your lifespan equal that of heaven and earth.”

The seven Profound-Hollow-Void ancestors nodded slightly, their gazes deep and unfathomable.

The white-haired ancestor in ornate robes—the one who had slain the flying strange slave with a single sword—turned toward True-Person Zhuge and spoke first.

“Zhuge worthy nephew, you’ve worked hard.”

True-Person Zhuge cupped his hands. “Junior greets Ancestor Huá. It was my duty.”

At the mention of Ancestor Huá, Mo Hua’s expression changed.

Though he had already guessed from the old ancestor’s appearance and the brilliant sword light identical to True-Person Huá’s that this must be the Huá Clan’s hidden Ancestor patriarch, confirmation still shocked him.

At the same time, the golden needle in his sea of consciousness faintly throbbed.

The shattered and suppressed Divine consciousness within him began to stir.

It seemed to harbor hatred toward this ancestor.

Ancestor Huá appeared to sense something. He suddenly turned and looked at Mo Hua, his gaze so deep it felt as though it would see through him entirely.

Mo Hua’s scalp went numb.

At that moment, True-Person Zhuge quickly pulled him behind himself and bowed.

“The boy is young and ignorant. I ask Ancestor Huá’s forgiveness.”

Ancestor Huá glanced at Mo Hua, then at True-Person Zhuge. His eyes were cold but he said nothing.

The other six ancestors showed slight surprise at True-Person Zhuge’s protection of Mo Hua.

The aged Yang Clan ancestor with a stern gaze asked slowly, “Zhuge nephew, who is this young man?”

True-Person Zhuge hesitated before replying,

“His name is Mo Hua. He serves Ancestor Xun and is a disciple of the Great Void Sect. He can be considered my junior fellow disciple.”

Upon hearing the name, the seven Void ancestors’ pupils subtly contracted. Though their expressions remained unchanged, their deep gazes examined Mo Hua.

Under their scrutiny, Mo Hua felt as though thorns pressed against his back.

Perhaps pressed for time—or perhaps not caring much about a ‘minor figure’—Ancestor Huá finally said calmly:

“It’s getting late. Let’s go.”

His gaze turned cold.

“That wretch truly thinks we cannot deal with him?”

“The dignity of the Dao Court is not something a mere junior Daoist can insult…”

The other Void ancestors’ expressions turned icy. Terrifying killing intent brewed in their eyes, and even the surrounding space seemed to decay under their residual aura.

So this… was the Profound-Hollow-Void realm.

Mo Hua felt a chill from the killing intent.

He had seen Profound-Hollow-Void cultivators before—Ancestor Xun of the Great Void Sect, and Ancestor Dugu among them.

But Ancestor Xun was elderly, devoted to teaching, and usually concealed all aura.

Ancestor Dugu was like a candle in the wind, far weaker than in his prime.

Furthermore, the Qianxue Prefecture realm was a place of education with strict prohibitions against Profound-Hollow-Void ancestors harboring killing intent.

Thus, though Mo Hua often stayed with Ancestor Xun, he had never truly felt a complete Void-level killing aura.

Feathered Ascension flying in the sky was one thing. But Profound-Hollow-Void realm could shatter space itself.

Between Ascension and Void lay a qualitative transformation of laws.

Under such a vast gap, ordinary Feathered Ascension cultivators could not withstand even a single move from a Profound-Hollow-Void expert.

Even the terrifying artificially created Dao aberration—the flying strange slave—could not survive one sword strike.

Recalling that scene, Mo Hua’s eyes trembled.

Just as the seven Profound-Hollow-Void ancestors prepared to depart, True-Person Zhuge hesitated, then clenched his teeth.

“Ancestor Huá…”

Ancestor Huá turned.

“Junior has an improper request.”

“Speak.”

True-Person Zhuge glanced at Mo Hua and sighed.

“This child’s sea of consciousness… was pierced by the Heart-Tugging, Emotion-Arousing, Desire-Falling Golden Needle. In all the world, only you can remove it. I beg you, Ancestor, show mercy…”

Mo Hua was stunned.

He had not expected True-Person Zhuge to think of him at such a moment… to still worry about that hidden danger in his mind.

He himself had nearly forgotten the golden needle.

Looking at True-Person Zhuge, his heart was deeply moved.

The other ancestors were also somewhat surprised.

Ancestor Huá’s gaze darkened slightly.

“The Heart-Tugging, Emotion-Arousing, Desire-Falling Golden Needle of my Huá Clan… how did it end up in his sea of consciousness?”

True-Person Zhuge shifted his gaze toward True-Person Huá.

True-Person Huá stepped forward and bowed.

True-Person Huá stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, “Ancestor, that golden needle… was meant to suppress the great rebel of the Dao Court, the Desolate Wilderness Divine-Shaman, to seal his divine consciousness…”

Ancestor Huá gave a faint, ambiguous smile.

“Then how did it end up piercing this child’s sea of consciousness?”

True-Person Huá’s face suddenly turned pale. He sighed. “Junior may have… misunderstood. Amid chaotic karma, I mistakenly took this boy for the Divine Shaman and used the golden needle on his sea of consciousness. I beg Ancestor for punishment.”

Ancestor Huá ignored him and instead turned to look deeply at Mo Hua.

Mo Hua restrained his aura completely, revealing not the slightest trace of breath, standing there extremely obedient.

True-Person Zhuge cupped his hands again and said sincerely, “I ask Ancestor to grant this request.”

If it were an ordinary cultivator—even one in the Feathered Ascension realm—they would never dare repeatedly make such a request before the Huá Clan’s old ancestor.

But True-Person Zhuge bore the surname Zhuge. He was an Honorary Consecrated official of the Imperial Observatory Bureau. In this hunt against the Strange Daoist, he had used the Seven Star Formation to suppress the Dao Sin Calamity and the astral formation to guide the Void descent, his merit was undeniable.

Even Ancestor Huá had to give him some face.

He nodded. “Very well.”

True-Person Zhuge let out a light breath. “Many thanks, Ancestor.”

“However…” Ancestor Huá said, “this Heart-Tugging, Emotion-Arousing Needle fuses with a person’s heart, emotions, and desires within their divine sense. Planting it is simple, removing it is difficult. The slightest carelessness can damage the Dao heart, ruin emotional clarity, and throw thoughts into chaos. Not the smallest mistake can be made.”

“At present, there is no leisure for such matters.”

“We must first eliminate that wretch. Only afterward can we slowly operate on his sea of consciousness and remove the needle.”

True-Person Zhuge frowned slightly but could only sigh. “As Ancestor says.”

Ancestor Huá nodded lightly and glanced once more at Mo Hua, seemingly pondering something.

At this time, another Profound-Hollow-Void ancestor wearing dragon-patterned Dao armor said, “Enough. Let us depart quickly and enter the Endless Abyss to kill that Daoist.”

The others nodded. “Indeed. That wretch is insidious and unpredictable. This time, we absolutely cannot let him escape.”

“We have calculated for several years and finally seized this opportunity. It must not be missed. If we fail to capture or kill him this time, and he truly attains great accomplishment in the future, eliminating him will only become more difficult…”

As they spoke, several ancestors had already torn open spatial rifts and used void escape techniques, vanishing on the spot.

Ancestor Huá was about to leave as well, but suddenly seemed to recall something. He turned back and pointed at Mo Hua.

“This boy… I will take him with me.”

The ancestors who had not yet departed showed surprise.

True-Person Zhuge’s expression changed.

The stern Yang Clan ancestor, clad in martial armor and bearing the Dharma Aspect of war, frowned. “This journey is no trifling matter. Why bring that child?”

Ancestor Huá replied calmly, “I have my reasons.”

True-Person Zhuge frowned. “Ancestor…”

Ancestor Huá shook his head. “If you wish to save him and have me remove the golden needle from his sea of consciousness, then hand him over to me. When the time comes and I have leisure, I will naturally remove it for him. As for other matters, you need not ask further.”

True-Person Zhuge’s expression twisted with hesitation. He could not help but look at Mo Hua.

Mo Hua thought for a moment, then nodded. “Please rest assured, True-Person. Would Ancestor Huá harm me? I will simply go with him.”

“You…” True-Person Zhuge frowned deeply.

The place they were about to go was the Endless Abyss.

The one they were going to kill was that Strange Daoist.

Within the Endless abyss lay immeasurable dangers. If anything happened, Profound-Hollow-Void ancestors could always protect themselves.

But this boy… if something went wrong and he lost his life, how would he answer to Ancestor Xun upon returning?

True-Person Zhuge wanted to speak further, but Mo Hua shook his head. “I’ll just go and take a look. With so many ancestors present, I’ll be fine.”

Seeing that Mo Hua had made up his mind—and that Ancestor Huá’s command seemed impossible to refuse—True-Person Zhuge pondered briefly and said, “If so, then I shall accompany you.”

Unexpectedly, Ancestor Huá shook his head. “Zhuge nephew, you will remain here.”

True-Person Zhuge paused.

Ancestor Huá pointed to the massive astral ancient formation nearby. “This formation cannot be left unattended. You will stay and guard it well. No mistakes are permitted.”

True-Person Zhuge’s expression showed reluctance.

Ancestor Huá continued, “This Grand Heavenly Astral Great Teleportation Formation was left behind by our forefathers. There are only a few in existence. It must be carefully watched.”

“The constellations of the heavens, the eight directions of the Nine Provinces. From the southwest Kun position, spanning the great continent to the southern Li position, it relies on your Seven-Star Formation to determine orientation. Only you can guard it.”

True-Person Zhuge glanced once more at Mo Hua.

Mo Hua nodded, signaling him not to worry.

True-Person Zhuge sighed helplessly. “Very well. Then I must trouble Ancestor to take care of this child.”

“You may rest assured,” Ancestor Huá said calmly.

He reached out with one hand. Mo Hua felt the scenery blur before his eyes, and in the next instant, he stood beside Ancestor Huá.

Faint Nine-colored void chains floated around him, serving as both protection and, in a sense, confinement.

Mo Hua sighed inwardly.

Even after countless calculations, he had not foreseen that Profound-Hollow-Void ancestors would personally descend upon the Great Wilderness.

At this point, he could only take things step by step.

In a Fifth-grade Prefecture, Void power was simply too overwhelming. As a mere Golden Core cultivator, he had no ability to resist.

Ancestor Huá, seeing that Mo Hua remained composed, nodded slightly and prepared to step into the void with him.

But before leaving, he seemed to remember something. With a flick of his finger, a flash of light condensed into a jade slip, which he handed to True-Person Huá.

“If anything unexpected occurs, send word to me. I will tear through the void and return to save you.”

True-Person Huá accepted the jade slip and bowed. “Yes. Many thanks, Ancestor.”

Ancestor Huá gave a soft “Mm,” grasped Mo Hua, and stepped together into the spatial rift.

The rift closed.

Mo Hua and Ancestor Huá vanished from the White Bone Ancestral Court.

Watching Mo Hua disappear, True-Person Zhuge suddenly felt an emptiness in his heart. At the same time, an inexplicable unease arose within him.

Yet he did not know what exactly troubled him.

Nearby, the Grand Heavenly Astral Great Teleportation Formation continued to rotate slowly, following the movements of the stars, using vast astral power to connect the space between two Fifth-grade great Prefectures.

On the other side.

Mo Hua felt space twist violently around him. Light warped, laws grew chaotic.

When he opened his eyes again, everything was pitch-black, filled with a suffocating aura.

He immediately realized…

Following a Profound-Hollow-Void Ancestor who could shatter space itself, shrinking earth into inches, he had arrived within the Endless Abyss Marsh of the Great Wilderness.

He had arrived at the legendary land where life was forbidden.

And he had arrived… at the hiding place of his Martial Uncle.
