Chapter 213: Where is Shirone? (Part 3)

After leaving those words behind, Iruki exited the classroom with Neid. Dante was so angry that his face turned red up to his ears.

“That bastard…”

Dante asked other students about Shirone’s whereabouts, but all he got were answers of “I don’t know.” He thought Shirone might show up if he waited, but he decided it wouldn’t hurt to look around the school himself.

As he wandered around, he found that the facilities were better than he had expected. The campus was vast, comparable to the Royal Magic Academy. However, it still didn’t feel like a place he could grow attached to.

Unable to find Shirone anywhere, Sabina grumbled.

“Seriously, what’s so hard about telling us where he is? Do they really trust him that much?”

Closer burst into laughter.

“Puhahaha! Country folks are always big on loyalty, aren’t they? They might not have any real skills, but they sure know how to act all self-important.”

“But Iruki is here too.”

At Dante’s words, Closer’s laughter stopped. Even he thought it was strange for Iruki to be here.

“I don’t get it. Why would someone from the Mercodain family be stuck in a backwater place like this?”
