668 Gumo
The purple-robed Tutenmu was transported to a dazzling golden lake with no visible ends. He stood there, staring in confusion at the golden figure before him.
“Supremacy Golden Light,” boomed a powerful voice from the distance. “Tutenmu followed the traces of spacetime and possessed Human Wu Ming to experience his past. Human Wu Ming was consumed in creating a powerful illusory realm, and so was he. Wu Ming lost control… but Tutenmu completely lost himself.”
“He has already forgotten his identity. All he remembers is that his name is Ji Wuyou,” the mighty voice said.
“Got it.” The golden figure looked at Tutenmu closely.
“What do you mean, lost myself?” Tutenmu demanded as he observed his surroundings. “Don’t try to deceive me. I am Ji Wuyou, and I’ll always be Ji Wuyou.”
“The memories of the illusory realm are too deep, suppressing his true identity,” the golden figure explained. “The quickest way to save him is to erase these memories and experiences. His true memories will eventually resurface, and he’ll regain control.”
“Erase his memories and experiences?” the voice asked in concern. “But Tutenmu is a cosmic legend in the Heart Realm lineage. His memories are fused with the Heart Realm Force, and they can’t be erased. The Force is scattered everywhere, including in his Heart Realm territory.”
“Only someone with a high realm in the Heart Realm lineage can erase a portion of his memories,” the golden figure stated. “Other schools are ineffective.”
Tutenmu was incensed. “Change my memories? Don’t even think about it!”
“He’s resistant,” said Ambassador Vicar. “If we kill and revive him…”
“Resurrection can’t change his memories,” the golden figure remarked.
“There’s only one way to help Tutenmu. We can erase his memories through external forces or rely on him to awaken his true self,” the golden figure said. “After all, his true self has cultivated for tens of thousands of years, and those are his most ingrained memories. It’s possible that they’ll awaken with time.”
“And who has the power to erase his memories?” Ambassador Vicar asked.
“For the ones sufficiently accomplished in the Heart Realm lineage, only the leader is capable of doing so,” the golden figure said.
“But the Progenitor is too busy. He’s a high-dimensional lifeform. How can he spare the time for a low-dimensional lifeform like Tutenmu?” Ambassador Vicar said. “Our Void Celestials may have high-dimensional lifeforms from the Heart Realm lineage. Can they only control Tutenmu with the illusory realm but not change his memories?”
“The illusory realm is just a tool for adding memories; it can’t alter the essence of Tutenmu. Only the leader, the one at the top of the Heart Realm lineage… can manipulate the memories of a cosmic legend with ease.”
“Understood. I’ll report this to the Progenitor and let him make the final decision,” Ambassador Vicar said.
The golden figure turned to Tutenmu, his eyes filled with disappointment. “The cosmic legends created by throwing resources at them are simply not enough. Their minds are far inferior to the Human Wu Ming. Human Wu Ming could create an illusory realm, and just the mere possession of the process made him lose himself.”
“He treated human Wu Ming as a test subject but ironically ended up the one going crazy,” Ambassador Vicar said. “I haven’t spread the news. If it were to get out, it would be embarrassing.”
“It is,” the golden figure said. With that said, his figure disappeared into the golden lake.
Ambassador Vicar’s force carried Tutenmu away.
Tutenmu had even lost his ability to unleash his Heart Realm powers. He was at the mercy of Ambassador Vicar.
…
Deep within high-dimensional space, the Black Lotus Realm existed.
The Black Lotus Realm was home to a massive weapon, a third-realm high-dimensional black lotus that rivaled an entire universe. This was the first third-realm weapon obtained by Gumo after a brutal battle in the abyss.
The lotus was a thriving city with buildings and structures built upon it.
A high-dimensional lifeform approached the towering figure of Supremacy Cloud Acres with a piece of paper in hand.
“Supremacy Cloud Acres, news from the home universe,” he said respectfully.
Supremacy Cloud Acres sat cross-legged, appearing to be in a deep slumber. But when he opened his eyes, he gazed upon the piece of paper and absorbed the information.
“What a fool,” he muttered to himself. “Using aliens as test subjects only to go mad.”
With a shake of his head, Supremacy Cloud Acres got up, put away the paper, and strode toward the core area of the Black Lotus Realm.
As Supremacy Cloud Acres traveled, he encountered alien high-dimensional lifeforms.
These beings were born as high-dimensional beings, but here they were, obedient and respectful.
“Supremacy Cloud Acres.”
“Supremacy Cloud Acres.”
The high-dimensional lifeforms were extremely respectful when they saw Supremacy Cloud Acres.
Supremacy Cloud Acres nodded slightly.
In the Black Lotus Realm, the Void Celestials were held in high regard, trusted by the Progenitor, Gumo.
They were easily gifted with powerful legacies and weapons.
Those who pledged allegiance to Gumo were given a lower status and were required to contribute to earn rewards. They did so because only by following a great existence in high-dimensional space could they live a better life.
Supremacy Golden Light was a special lifeform with a unique ability to fuse with the universe. He was tasked by Gumo to protect the Void Celestials.
Clunk! Clunk! Clunk!
Supremacy Cloud Acres, an Eternal realm powerhouse, easily made his way to the core hinterland.
As an Eternal realm powerhouse of the Void Celestials, Supremacy Cloud Acres was one of the brass of the Black Lotus Realm.
Huh?
Supremacy Cloud Acres gazed upon the looming mountain before him. A stocky figure stood sentinel beside it, their body glowing dimly and emitting an invisible force.
“Is the Progenitor still occupied?” Supremacy Cloud Acres queried.
The stocky figure nodded. “The Progenitor hasn’t been in a good mood recently. He hasn’t looked happy the few times he comes out.”
“What happened?” Supremacy Cloud Acres asked in confusion. The Progenitor was a paramount existence in an extremely vast surrounding territory. What could keep him in a bad mood?
“I’ve tried to ask,” the stocky figure replied, worry etched on his face. “But he won’t say. I can sense that it’s something big though.”
Supremacy Cloud Acres handed his friend a piece of paper. “Here, this is news from my home universe. Show it to the Progenitor when he’s out.”
The stocky figure took the paper and quickly scanned its contents. He then sighed, shaking his head. “These young Void Celestials are becoming less and less reliable. When I was a cosmic legend, nobody in the universe could withstand a second attack from me.”
“How can they compare to you?” Supremacy Cloud Acres commented.
They both came from the same home universe and had strong ties to their species.
High-dimensional lifeforms, especially those who grew up as low-dimensional lifeforms, placed a high importance on their species and often relied on them for support in their high-dimensional adventures.
Supremacy Cloud Acres and the stocky figure chatted for a while longer before the former took his leave.
The stocky figure watched the door close, deep in thought. What could be bothering the Progenitor? He hasn’t been in a good mood all this while.
…
Inside the mountain.
A tall and stocky figure sat on a chair. A gleaming crystal was embedded between his brows, casting an eerie glow over his face, and his cloak shimmered with the light of numerous stars.
His eyes were narrow and cold, revealing nothing of the emotions that churned within him.
He looked ahead.
The traces of the past in this vast area were extremely clear. He could see the different parts of history. At the same time, his gaze was looking at an even more ethereal future.
As a half-step third realm master, he had the power to observe the past, present, and future. Although he couldn’t completely grasp it, he could already observe a lot.
Future.
Gumo observed.
The past was set! He was in the present, observing the future!
There were countless branches in the future.
Every branch was a possibility.
Gumo followed one of these branches and saw the movement of high-dimensional lifeforms. In the vast region, human high-dimensional lifeforms were part of it—including Wu Ming, a future Eternal realm powerhouse from the Heart Realm lineage.
All kinds of Eternal Realm powerhouses were like fish in a river of time, jumping around without stirring Gumo’s heart.
Boom!
But suddenly, the future was plunged into darkness, and Gumo was unable to pry further.
The 322nd branch of the future holds only the descent of a catastrophic event.
No matter where I hide, in my home universe, the Black Lotus Realm, or elsewhere, it spells the end for me… and all living beings.
Gumo sat there and looked ahead. Following karma, he crossed endless distances and immediately contacted a great existence very far away.
It was a figure covered in purple scales sitting on a high throne. He looked at Gumo with his golden eyes. “Gumo, my friend, I didn’t lie to you, did I?”
“All the futures I’ve seen lead to the same outcome,” Gumo replied. “The entire Fengyi 97 dominion will face a calamity, and all living beings will be wiped out.”
“I’ve viewed 5,219 futures, and they all share the same fate,” the purple-scaled figure said. “The only way to escape is to leave this dominion and head to a new one. I’ve spied on the future of five other dominions, and they are free from disaster.”
“Leaving this dominion will not be easy,” Gumo said. “I must bring my entire species with me.”
“Only a small portion of the species is necessary. They can reproduce in the new dominion,” the figure replied. “But if you take root in a new dominion, you will encounter resistance from the high-dimensional lifeforms there. I believe that all four half-step third realms in the Fengyi 97 dominion should migrate together.”
“It’s still early. I must consider my options,” Gumo said.
“The apocalypse could arrive at any moment,” the purple-scaled figure said. “You must make a decision in an Abyssal Era. I have also contacted the other two half-step third realms.”
Gumo nodded and cut the connection.
The other dominions are very safe?
Gumo thought as his three clones in different dominions began to observe the future of their respective dominions.
