Wu Wei sternly refused to take any part in Team 8566’s brainless ideas.
He kept an eye on Zhou Tian to ensure he contacted the academy.
Yuehua Rune Academy was an academy for Runemasters, so, naturally, its influence extended to Runic World.
On top of the academy in the real world, Yuehua Rune School also had its own base within Runic World.
Wu Wei and the others were currently within Yuehua Academy’s territory.
In Runic World, the academy ran a city with a population of over 500,000 across its 37 districts. This was the reason a Yuehua Rune Shop existed in Maple Leaf Town.
As a team from the academy, Team 8566 was naturally able to contact them.
Through a special communications device, they were able to relay the situation to the academy.
And now that they had informed the academy, the matter was now no concern of theirs.
They could finally sit down and split the drops in peace.
However, their current location was not a good spot in which to do so.
As Wu Wei was an ever-cautious person, the fact that they still couldn’t log out tugged at his mind.
Hence, under his command, they gathered up all the drops and left Treant Forest.
After leaving Treant Forest, Wu Wei and Team 8566 began to divide the prizes.
From the battle, they had obtained a total of 76 drops.
Among them were 15 [Uncommon]-quality drops and 1 light green drop.
The remaining 50 drops were of [Common] quality.
When it came to the distribution of profits, as they were students of Yuehua Academy, things went without a hitch.
In Yuehua Academy, there was even a particular lesson on this very topic of splitting drops.
It was a compulsory subject for all students.
One of the scenarios presented in the lesson was if a team was rescued when they were in danger of being wiped out. After being rescued, the rescuer was legally obliged to take away at least 60% of any loot.
This was an ironclad law regarding the distribution of loot, and both parties were mutually bound by law to comply.
The academy would not allow cases of both sides agreeing not to comply with the law; no matter which side violated the rules, they would be punished.
This law of distribution might have seemed very strange. Still, if one carefully pondered over it, one would be able to understand the school’s intentions in this regard.
And thanks to this regulation, Wu Wei was able to have no emotional burden when claiming his fair share. Simple and straightforward.
Out of the 76 drops, Wu Wei took 7.
Besides the green drop, Wu Wei took 5 [Uncommon]-quality drops and 1 [Common]-quality drop.
He calculated that what he had picked was equivalent to 60% of all the loot’s total value.
Wu Wei had chosen to stick to his bottom line and leave Team 8566 their fair share.
Although he had almost got done in by following this group of fools, Wu Wei now had a favorable impression of them.
He felt they were all the type to be good brothers or friends – sincere people willing to do anything for their close ones. To a certain extent, that would make them good teammates as well.
However, while Wu Wei would recommend them to others, he didn’t feel he would want to join them.
Wu Wei felt that if he were to team up with them, he would have to buy insurance first.
“All of you have worked hard. Don’t fool around anymore, especially not at the Treant Forest. Go back and rest early, got it?”
“Got it, Brother Wu. We’ll go back right now, Brother Wu!”
“Right, right, right. We definitely won’t go. All of us are tired right now, so all we want is to recuperate!”
“Brother Wu, take care!”
..
After splitting the loot, Wu Wei left the Runic World after bidding farewell to Team 8566.
When Wu Wei was gone, Team 8566, who had just vowed they were tired and only wanted to return to recuperate, resumed cooking up dumb ideas.
Blondie was the first to suggest an idea: “Brothers, shall we head back to Treant Forest?”
“Let’s not. We already promised Brother Wu that we wouldn’t go!”
Although Arrow Boy said so, his eyes kept glancing towards Treant Forest.
The four of them exchanged looks.
The next moment, the fools were already running back to Treant Forest, filled with excitement and smiling incorrigibly.
This group of fools only lived for the thrill.
..
Meanwhile, back in the real world.
Having returned to his dorm from Runic World, the first thing that Wu Wei did was to take out his Book of Runes and extract the seven drops that he had just obtained.
It had to be said that even though it had gotten perilous this time, the rewards were proportional.
Amongst the 7 drops that he had earned was 1 light green drop.
“A green drop is an [Rare]-quality drop, so a light green drop should be something worse than [Rare]-quality, but better than [Uncommon]-quality.
“Mm, to get an item like this from a boss that is neither First Stage nor [Rare]-grade is really not bad!.”
Wu Wei was delighted with the drops.
This round of loot could be considered one of his best ones yet. If he were to get lucky, he would be able to make a few hundred runic stones. And even in the worst-case scenario, he would still earn over a hundred runic stones!
Although he already had a rough idea of what the drop was, Wu Wei was still very excited to open it.
“I think I’ll open the best and the worst last. I’ll start with the pack in the middle!”
Wu Wei picked up a white drop.
[You have opened a white drop and obtained one [High-quality Runic Treant Heart!]]
“A recovery item equivalent to about four or five runic pills. It should fetch me about twenty to thirty runic stones! Meh!”
Wu Wei continued opening the other drops.
[You have opened a white drop and obtained one [Runic Armament: Treant Ring!]]
[You have opened a white drop and obtained one [Runic Pill Recipe: Runic Treant Pill!]]
[You have opened a white drop and obtained one [Runic Magic: Minor Recovery!]]
[You have opened a white drop and obtained one [High-quality Runic Treant Heart!]]
In one shot, Wu Wei opened all five white drops. Ignoring the Runic Treant Heart, Wu Wei took a look at the attributes of the other three items.

The results weren’t terrible.
Although the skill of the Runic Armament [Runic Treant Ring] was an activation skill innate to the equipment itself and could not be cultivated, it was still valuable. It would fetch a pretty sum of between 100 to 200 runic stones. Nonetheless, Wu Wei did not intend to sell it for now.
It was still of use to him.
He also decided not to sell the Runic Pill recipe. Since he had taken quite a lot from Little ‘Brother’ Black Robe, on top of ‘his’ medicinal dregs that had helped him tremendously, he intended to give this recipe to ‘him’ as a gift.
As for the [Lesser Recovery] Runic Spell, Wu Wei decided to sell it. Its price was about the same as that of the [Earth Spike] Runic Spell – 50 runic stones.
There were still two drops left to open.
