Chapter 221: Holographic Simulator

If the system had come out five hundred years earlier, Jiang Li would probably have used the system store frequently, as many items in the store were greatly beneficial for cultivation.

But because the system had lagged for five hundred years, many things that the store offered, Jiang Li already had, and many things the store lacked, he also had, like the cultivation insights of the strongest Human Sovereign—something not found in the system store.

Still, the system store had its uses. For instance, saving Jiang Li the trouble of traveling to other worlds by letting him order sentient Immortal Artifacts online.
Or buying stone tablets left behind by the Dao Ancestor.

When he bought the Dao Ancestor’s stone tablets, Jiang Li had only glanced at the store briefly without paying much attention.

Now, opening the store again, he indeed found some new items.

【Feitian Brand Holographic Simulator】

Jiang Li frowned. Mingzhong Continent already had holographic goggles, even divided into models with and without age restrictions.

He instinctively felt something was off about this Feitian-brand holographic simulator and bought it. As expected, there was an issue.

The instruction manual wasn’t written in the Mingzhong Continent’s language.

In other words, this simulator wasn’t from Mingzhong Continent.

“This world really does have native humans,” Jiang Li thought, finding the evidence he sought.

He continued searching for more clues.

【Dictionary (Gougle Civilization Edition)】

“Looks like there’s a civilization called Gougle here.”

Jiang Li purchased the dictionary and, using his immense divine sense and spiritual platform, quickly mastered the Gougle language by following linguistic patterns.

“The packaging on the simulator also uses Gougle writing,” Jiang Li skimmed the packaging.

“A groundbreaking product by Feitian Corporation, containing 180 patents, nationally certified authority, awarded 72 interstellar prizes, absolutely no side effects, fully immerses users in the virtual world.”

“Equipped with information leap technology—whether you’re in the Hydrogen Galaxy or the Helium Galaxy, information transmission is seamless, no delay!”

“In the virtual world, you are an omnipotent god!”

“The virtual world, your world.”

“Feitian Corporation, your reliable life assistant.”

After searching for a while, Jiang Li found that only Gougle civilization’s items existed—meaning besides Mingzhong’s survivors, this world had only one civilization: Gougle.

“Here, found something good,” Jiang Li said, handing the dictionary and simulator to Bai Hongtu.

Bai Hongtu had been thinking about whether to summon all the Fusion Stage cultivators from the Nine Provinces to help search for the native humans of this world when Jiang Li interrupted him.

“Where’d you get this?” Bai Hongtu was amazed—how had Jiang Li found anything when they hadn’t even located a life planet?

“Space Dao slight breakthrough—reached into somewhere unknown and pulled it out.”

Bai Hongtu didn’t question further and began studying the two items.

“The packaging lists a company address, but who the hell knows where ’28 Peace Street, Changjiu City, Yuanfeng Star, Hydrogen Galaxy’ is!”

“There is a way to find it.”

Jiang Li pointed at the packaging’s ‘information leap technology’: “You should’ve heard of this in Mingzhong Continent—only in theory.”

“I remember it’s about building a space channel for information to travel through—another form of Space Dao.”

“This simulator still works. You know what I’m getting at, right?”

“You mean, we power it up, follow the information transmission channel, and find the… uh, service clerk?”

Jiang Li’s mouth twitched: “It’s called a server.”

“Right, right, server. You’re really knowledgeable about technology.”

“Just high school science basics.”

“What’s high school science?”

“Nothing.”

The holographic simulator consisted of two small metal patches. According to the manual, you stuck them to your temples, and the weak electrical current would help induce sleep and link you to the server.

“This thing doesn’t need external energy to start?” Bai Hongtu was baffled.

“Uses bioelectricity,” Jiang Li said, flipping through the detailed instructions in the manual.

Though honestly, he didn’t know how bioelectricity could power something either.

Jiang Li proposed, “The manual says after activation, it doesn’t immediately connect to the server—it requires user operation. I’ll activate it, and you trace the space channel. Once you find it, wake me up.”

Bai Hongtu readily agreed: “No problem. But I’m not too familiar with tech. My understanding is—using the simulator sends a person’s divine sense into the server. Your divine sense is massive; the server might not withstand it. You’d better control your divine sense.”

“Good point.”

The metal patches were stuck to Jiang Li’s temples. A faint current was released, but it had no effect on him.

“Hmm… I could’ve fallen asleep on my own anyway,” Jiang Li mumbled as he dozed off, splitting off a wisp of his divine sense.

In deep space, one man lay peacefully asleep, while another stood solemnly, as if performing some eerie religious ritual—Bai Hongtu the priest, Jiang Li the offering.

“Hello, welcome to Feitian Brand Holographic Simulator. Please choose your username.”

“Jiang Li.”

“Username already taken.”

“Human Sovereign.”

“Username already taken.”

“Jiang the Human Sovereign.”

“Username already taken.”

“Outer World Demons are all s**t.”

“Welcome, ‘Outer World Demons are all s**t.'”

“…You allow cursing as usernames?”

“Our company’s mission is to maximize customer enjoyment. Freedom is highly valued. Please choose your avatar—you can customize one or use your real appearance.”

“Use real appearance.”

“Please select: would you like to enter the Great World or a Personal World?”

“What’s the Great World?”

“The Great World is an open-world server where all players can interact, chat, make friends, complete quests, and more.”

“And the Personal World?”

“In the Personal World, you have complete creative control. You can replicate reality or create a brand-new universe from the Big Bang.”

“Enter the Great World,” Jiang Li decided—before finding the Gougle civilization, he could chat with its people first.

“This is the Great World?” Jiang Li was surprised. He had expected a fantasy realm with knights, dragons, and demon kings.

Instead, it was a sci-fi world.

A passerby glanced at Jiang Li and muttered, “Outer World Demons are all s**t?”

Jiang Li looked up and found a bright line of text above his head—his username.

“Hide username.”

The text disappeared.

“You must be a newbie, huh? It’s been ages since we had a new player,” a handsome middle-aged man approached warmly, noticing Jiang Li’s noob outfit.

The middle-aged man had a weathered charm that would be very attractive to young girls unfamiliar with the world.

Since most players customized their avatars to be beautiful or handsome, Jiang Li—using his real appearance—looked plain and stood out.

“Is it too late to customize my face now?”
