Chapter 35: No Need for Honor Against the Human Sovereign—Attack Together

Seven Kill Daozi’s attack was so overwhelming that it disturbed the others who were locked in intense battle.

They turned to look at Jiang Li. They understood—this was the current Human Sovereign. In the past, they would have revered him with unwavering admiration.

Now, though they still respected him and acknowledged his immense strength, they felt that they themselves were no longer weak. They believed they could stand against the Outer World Demons. With that thought in mind, their awe toward Jiang Li diminished significantly.

Even Li Litong, who had taken over another body, felt the same way. He was now at the late Soul Formation Stage, his confidence swelling beyond measure. He believed that even if an Outer World Demon attacked, he could at least put up a fight.

“Everyone, don’t you want the Human Sovereign to give you some guidance? This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”

Seven Kill Daozi, who had just been thrown away, steadied himself and incited the crowd, giving those already eager a reason to act.

Jiang Li smiled and agreed. “Alright.”

He then turned to Qin Luan and Song Ying. “You two can join them and fight me as well.”

Song Ying hesitated. She had not received temporary power like the others and still held deep respect for Jiang Li, not daring to make a move.

She also thought Jiang Li was annoyed by their lack of respect and was speaking sarcastically.

But Qin Luan understood—Jiang Li was using this as an opportunity to guide them.

Just meeting Jiang Li was rare enough. Receiving his personal guidance was an opportunity they might never get again. If they missed this chance, they would regret it for a lifetime.

“You fool, the Human Sovereign is offering us guidance, and you’re turning him down?”

Only then did Song Ying realize—Jiang Li wasn’t speaking out of anger but genuinely wanted to train them. She quickly pulled Qin Luan and joined the crowd of eager challengers.

The first to strike was Li Litong. He still held a grudge from being kicked away by Jiang Li earlier, convinced that Jiang Li had relied on his higher cultivation to overpower him. Now, with strength beyond his wildest dreams, he was determined to settle that score.

He imagined himself standing against the world, slaying countless enemies, and absorbing vast amounts of blood energy—allowing him to push directly to the late Soul Formation Stage.

At this moment, the blood energy behind him surged like a boundless ocean, piercing through the sky. His former twin blood blades had evolved into two massive cleavers, capable of splitting mountains and seas. His aura was astonishing.

“Human Sovereign Jiang, please instruct me!”

Jiang Li no longer held back, returning to his original strength—and once again, he kicked.

Li Litong instinctively crossed his blood cleavers in front of his chest to block, but against Jiang Li’s kick, he was still sent flying.

“Brother Litong, I’ll help you!”

A Four-Clawed True Dragon dove into Li Litong’s sea of blood energy. Instantly, dragon blood gushed forth, enhancing its strength dramatically—even regenerating its broken dragon horn.

The Dragon Clan was known for its powerful bodies and abundant blood energy. Now, bathing in the sea of blood, its physical strength skyrocketed to an entirely new level.

Li Litong once again condensed his twin blood cleavers and, alongside the True Dragon, launched a joint attack on Jiang Li.

Jiang Li didn’t hold back either. He seized the twin blood cleavers and, with a simple grip on Li Litong’s shoulders, effortlessly dislocated both his arms before sending him flying with another kick.

Li Litong was blasted away, smashing through three mountain peaks before finally losing consciousness.

Against the ferocious assault of the Four-Clawed True Dragon, Jiang Li responded with a single punch—shattering three of its reverse scales, making it howl in agony.

“Humans have their own methods of body cultivation. Mount Sumeru has the Dragon-Tiger Arhat who subdues True Dragons. The Human Sovereign Hall has Zhang Konghu, who withstands tribulation lightning with his flesh. Why force yourself to rely on foreign bloodlines?”

Jiang Li grabbed the dragon’s horn and casually flung it into the crowd, sending people into disarray.

Enlightened by Jiang Li’s words, the True Dragon suddenly realized its folly. It had always sought the purest Flood Dragon and True Dragon blood, hoping to transform itself into a perfect dragon-human hybrid. But humans and dragons had completely different physical structures—how could they ever be fully compatible?

Returning to his human form, the True Dragon bowed deeply to Jiang Li. He resolved to abandon his previous approach after leaving the mystic realm and reconsider his path of body cultivation.

The others had all fought against one another earlier and knew that Li Litong and the Four-Clawed True Dragon were among the strongest—easily in the top ten among them.

And yet, even they had been defeated by Jiang Li in a single move.

They now understood—defeating Jiang Li was impossible with just one or two people. Even forcing him to take a step back was unrealistic. Their only chance was to attack together.

“There’s no need for honor against the Human Sovereign—attack all at once!”

Someone in the crowd shouted, and the moment they did, everyone instinctively unleashed their strongest techniques upon Jiang Li.

Qin Luan saw clearly—it was Seven Kill Daozi who shouted. And the moment he did, he hid within the crowd, pretending he had nothing to do with it.

The Golden Crow burned fiercely, like a sun in the sky, instantly evaporating the moisture in the air!

The Sun Chasing Clan warriors assumed sprinting stances, their legs tensing before launching forward at speeds so fast they left afterimages. Their massive figures made it seem as though Mount Sumeru itself was charging at Jiang Li—unstoppable!

A Kun burst from the ocean, transforming midair into a Peng. Its 108,000 golden feathers shimmered with ancient, mysterious runes, each stroke exuding profound power. Its sharp beak, if aimed at a Soul Formation cultivator, could pierce a hole straight through their body!

The cultivator with the Heaven and Earth Dharma Form stood tall, his sheer size blotting out the sky. With hands as massive as iron fans, he brought them down—like the sky collapsing!

Seven Kill Daozi spat out a mouthful of essence blood, igniting all seven Immortal Swords. Earth, fire, wind, and thunder surged along the sword tips, as if they sought to reshape the world itself!

The one controlling the tribulation wielded the authority of the heavens, commanding the Immortal Ascension Tribulation Clouds to gather above Jiang Li. The silver tribulation lightning crackled with divine might, capable of triggering heart demons, forcing those undergoing tribulation to fight against their inner fears while also fending off the lightning—inevitably leading them to destruction!

The tribulation wielder was the strongest among them, having held the upper hand even when facing multiple opponents in the earlier brawl. He had mocked the others for their weakness without restraint.

Seeing the wide array of incoming attacks, Jiang Li simply smiled. What an energetic bunch of youngsters.

“I envy you all, still having dreams. Not like me—I can’t even imagine something stronger than myself.”

Jiang Li sighed, as if he hadn’t even noticed the attacks, lamenting to himself instead.

Even in the dream realm, Jiang Li hadn’t become stronger. The reason was simple—he couldn’t conceive of any change that would make him stronger than he already was.

He knew of concepts like two-dimensional foils and mathematical weapons, but knowing their names meant nothing—he needed to understand their principles. He wasn’t some genius physicist. How could he grasp such things?

As for ascension, he was only one step away—he just needed to enter the Celestial Realm and transform his spiritual energy into celestial energy. But what was celestial energy? He couldn’t even imagine it.

Even if a True Immortal appeared, he was confident he could win.

As for becoming a different race—ever since he reached the Mahayana Stage, humanity had stood as the strongest race. No one could challenge that.

Mastering divine abilities? He could envision techniques like “Universe in the Sleeve” or “Scattering Beans into Soldiers,” but to him, these were just convenient tools—useful for storage and transport, but they wouldn’t make him stronger.

Wielding an Immortal Artifact? He still preferred the halberd in his storage ring. It had already gathered dust—because there had never been an enemy worth using it against.

Mastering universal laws? He overcame tribulations like taking a bath. Time and space laws were too complex to comprehend.

“So frustrating.”

Hearing Jiang Li’s “troubles,” everyone instinctively attacked even harder.

Even Song Ying, the one who admired him the most, suddenly had the urge to punch him.

Too infuriating!
