Chapter 619: Reshaping the Continent

Two towering giants stood at the pinnacle of the cosmos, their punches creating winds that shattered the Starfield Colossus into countless fragments.

Unlike ordinary demon beasts who valued bloodline inheritance and refined their lineages, the Starfield Colossus race only needed to continuously consume matter to grow to the Unity Stage. If they luckily survived their Death Tribulation, they could reach the Tribulation Transcendence Stage. And if they devoured an entire world, they could ascend to immortality.

The Starfield Colossus didn’t worry about mixed bloodlines either—this race consisted entirely of purebred Starfield Colossi.

The reason was simple: they couldn’t find other living beings as mating partners.

This universe no longer had intact stars; all celestial bodies had been swallowed by the giant beast or used as teeth-grinding toys during its leisure time.

Because of this, this particular beast had reached the peak of the Tribulation Transcendence Stage, capable of ascending to immortality at any moment, so powerful it could make one’s blood run cold.

Unfortunately, it encountered Jiang Li and Bai Hongtu, which destined its power to be useless and its death inevitable.

After the Starfield Colossus died, the creatures living in its stomach would directly face the cosmos, confronting disasters like oxygen deprivation, weightlessness, and radiation.

If these creatures lived on a true continent, the land would naturally have gravity, an oxygen layer, and other elements ensuring basic survival.

But this wasn’t a real continent—it was the beast’s stomach.

Bai Hongtu performed a Dao technique, his body growing even more massive than before, with a single eyelash capable of blotting out the sky and sun.

Two completely different arrays materialized in his hands as he refined the Starfield Colossus’s stomach into a genuine continent. With one hand above and one below, he enclosed the continent where the creatures lived, golden light bursting from between his fingers.

The two arrays slowly rotated, releasing endless mysteries. One array settled beneath the continent, allowing it to regenerate gravity, causing the floating multitude to gradually descend to the ground.

As golden light bloomed, the escaped air returned to the continent. The other array covered the sky above the land like half an eggshell, securing the atmosphere and blocking cosmic radiation.

Luo Zhi curled his lips. Although Bai Hongtu appeared careless and unreliable, when it truly mattered, he was actually quite dependable.

While Bai Hongtu worked, Jiang Li wasn’t idle either.

The scattered stars had become debris beyond restoration. Considering this, he directly divided the giant beast’s corpse into planet-sized pieces, dotting them throughout the cosmos.

He also hid opportunities within some planets—such as minerals, energy, and cultivation techniques—so if these creatures developed technology for interstellar travel or if someone broke through to the Unity Stage, they could find pleasant surprises on these celestial bodies.

Jiang Li thought further and decided that since these people had come all the way to the cosmos, it wasn’t easy for them, so he retrieved treasures like the Qi Observation Technique and the invisibility cloak.

After completing everything, the two returned above the continent.

The old man trembled with fear, genuinely terrified from the depths of his heart.

These two were too powerful. The master he viewed as omnipotent appeared like a child with mere brute strength in their hands, completely unable to resist.

How could such powerful existences exist in the world?

Could they have come from the legendary Immortal Realm?

“What should we do with this guy?” Bai Hongtu glanced at the old man with clear disdain. The old man probably had some kind of Master-Servant Contract with the Starfield Colossus. After the beast’s death, the old man’s body visibly shriveled, becoming dwarf-like, and his already limited lifespan dried up to nearly invisible levels, likely only able to live for a few more decades.

Jiang Li didn’t answer directly but instead smiled at Luo Zhi. “Luo Zhi, Steward Fang’s performance has been commendable. Since your Spirit Plant Sect was the first to enter this world, consider this world fated with your sect. I’ll leave the follow-up matters to you.”

Luo Zhi clasped his hands in gratitude. Most of this world had been occupied by Mad Demons, and where the Mad Demons resided were dense forests—exactly the kind of environment the Spirit Plant Sect favored.

After Jiang Li and Bai Hongtu left, the old man pleaded with Luo Zhi.

“Sect Leader, I had no choice! I was once a good person—otherwise I wouldn’t have made humans and demon beasts sign a truce agreement. But if I didn’t help the giant beast cultivate blood food, I would have been the one to die.”

“I did all this just to save my own life.”

Several Spirit Plant Sect disciples showed signs of being swayed, feeling the old man made sense. Only Steward Fang stood by sneering coldly, watching the old man’s performance.

Luo Zhi showed a sympathetic expression, helping the old man up. “You are indeed pitiful, and you’ve moved me with your words. But after all, I’m not the victim, so I can’t make this decision.”

“I believe justice lies in people’s hearts. How about this—we’ll simply share your story with the people of this world. I believe everyone will forgive you.”

“As long as half the people forgive you, we’ll let you go. If not even half do, then don’t blame me for being ruthless.” As Luo Zhi spoke, he planted a seed on the old man’s body, restraining his cultivation.

“No, please don’t—” The old man hastily retreated, turning to escape.

Once the truth became public, forget half the people—not a single person would forgive him.

Humanity’s rage toward the Mad Demons would concentrate entirely on him alone.

He would undoubtedly die.

He wanted to use various supernatural abilities to escape secretly, but discovered he couldn’t utilize even a fraction of his cultivation. The more he tried to use his power, the faster his lifespan drained away.

Steward Fang seriously educated his disciples. “See? Don’t use your cheap sympathy to pity others. You’re not the victims—what right do you have to forgive him on behalf of the people here?”

The disciples hung their heads in shame, unable to meet Steward Fang’s eyes.

Steward Fang sighed. He increasingly felt it necessary to let these children experience the world. These youngsters had never faced real setbacks, were too naive, and were easily swayed by emotions—this wasn’t a good thing.

Steward Fang also recognized another layer of the sect leader’s intention.

The conflict between humans and demon beasts needed resolution eventually. By publicizing the old man’s deeds as the instigator, it could effectively ease tensions between humans and demon beasts.

It remained to be seen whether these disciples had the insight to perceive this level.

…

“The Summoning Talisman still needs further modifications.”

“Indeed, tearing the Summoning Talisman is still too troublesome. This time we were lucky the old man was foolish enough to tear it open directly. If someone smarter had immobilized Steward Fang’s body, we would have been powerless.”

“The Summoning Talisman should be activated through mental will.”

“Is it difficult?”

“Not difficult.”

“Then it’s up to you.”

Inside the Dao Sect, Jiang Li and Bai Hongtu analyzed each aspect of their inspection results, identifying problems and promptly solving them.

Actually, besides the two of them, Commander Liu had dispatched many Human Sovereign Hall guards for tracking, also searching for issues.

Exploring the Myriad Worlds was a massive project just beginning, inevitably facing numerous difficulties.

Jiang Li believed that with gradual experience accumulation, they would eventually resolve everything.

“Jiang Li, Bai Hongtu, are you there?” Yu Yin contacted the two using a Communication Talisman, her expression cold.

“What’s the matter?”

“I’ve comprehended the great supernatural power Word as Law. After battling the Entropy Balance Ruler and summarizing these past few days, I feel this ability is quite thoroughly understood. Do you two want to come learn it?”
