Gana, the Lord of the Sea, did not delay. He spoke straight to the point: “On behalf of my son, Pontos, I wish to forge a new Divine Pact with you, Excellency. Cimali City and its affiliated territory shall become an independent city-state. The Guard Authority and Worship Allegiance shall belong to Pontos! You may present any reasonable requests.”
The Goddess of Elegance did not reply. She reclined elegantly, maintaining a languid posture.
Isia, the Goddess of Love and Desire, spoke with alluring charm: “Your Excellency the Lord of the Sea is certainly quick to speak. With one word, you seek to usurp a city and divide a city-state. God-King Kronos personally decreed that all colonial city-states established in the New Continent shall belong to the God of Pioneers for 300 years. Have you consulted His Majesty the God-King?”
The languid Goddess of Elegance also spoke: “Would you seek to violate the pact decreed by His Majesty the God-King, Excellency?”
The Lord of the Sea did not take offense. He spoke calmly: “I would naturally not dare to violate the God-King’s decree. However, the God-King also permits private exchanges among the Deities. Your domain on Earth has been invaded by the Abyss. I fear the current strength of Medimus City-State is insufficient to resolve the crisis and may even be in danger of annihilation.”
“Due to the pact between the Deities and the Great Source, no entity whose strength surpasses that of a Demigod can remain in the Inner Plane of the world. Isia, the Goddess of Love and Desire, smiled: “One action by a Demigod in exchange for an entire city-state? Even if you are a Titan Chief God, you cannot exploit us so severely.”
Medea, the Goddess of Elegance, also said: “My projection possesses strength infinitely close to a Demigod’s. If it is only a single action by a Demigod, I have no need for it.”
The Lord of the Sea looked at the two Goddesses. If they were merely weak, common Deities, he would simply exploit them, and they would be forced to comply. However, although the Goddess of Elegance was relatively weak, her backing was extremely strong.
