Chapter 153: The Difficult Journey

“Did you think no one knew that faith could accelerate the formation of Divinity and Divine Authority and promote communication with the Great Source?”

Gana, the Lord of the Sea’s voice grew increasingly calm. The raging fury hidden within His calm radiated an invisible majesty, causing Pontos’s knees to shake uncontrollably.

“Father God, I was wrong!”

“You must follow the righteous path to go farther. A Deity who has lost self-identity is no god at all; they are merely a puppet of mortal ants.

His Majesty the God-King decided to segment this cycle of civilization into city-states precisely to create numerous Authorities for new Deities, because we need new power to combat the powerful enemies that are approaching.

I know you have fixed your attention on the Fish-Merfolk racial Divine Authority. As your Father, I must tell you that a race certainly holds great potential, but unlike a domain, if the race is annihilated, you too will fall.

You must integrate with the surrounding sea. I believe you should focus on comprehending the regional Divine Authority of the Salia Nearshore. I hope the Authority you finally achieve is the God of the Salia Nearshore, Merfolk, and Half-Merfolk.

In this way, even if something should happen to the Merfolk race, you can still rely on me to maintain your divine position.”

Gana, the Lord of the Sea, looked at Pontos with deep, profound eyes. His calm words carried a father’s deep affection.

“That is good. My Father God. I will ensure I claim the regional Divine Authority of the Salia Nearshore!” Pontos replied resolutely.

“That is good. Although our Kaya world is very young, the path of the Kaya Deities is far superior to the path of Deities in other worlds. Do not stray from the path.”

“Rest assured that you should utilize your Divine Descendants, allowing them to manage the city-state and suppress all dissent.

As for the Divine Descendants, most of them intend to suppress other supernatural powers born among mortals, such as your priests. We should not concern ourselves with this. Let them fight. This is precisely what His Majesty expects.”

“If Divine Descendant rule is overthrown, the nascent power must still submit to the great power of the Deities, dancing to our script.

If they refuse to submit, then we shall destroy them.”

Gana, the Lord of the Sea, continued to instruct Pontos. This youngest son rarely sought His counsel. Having Him seek Him out was a rare opportunity, and Gana decided to thoroughly impart the wisdom of the Deities’ mindset.

“Why does His Majesty expect humanity to engage in internal conflict?” Pontos asked, somewhat puzzled.

“Heh. His Majesty expects more than just human internal conflict. Do you know why the Hells and the Abyss have not been annihilated by the Deities? Are the Deities truly incapable of completely eradicating them, despite their ceaseless invasion of the Inner Plane of the world?

The immense power of a single Titan Chief God was enough to create the Underworld and contain the Abyss and the Hells, forcing them into an eternal blood war.

We now have 12 Titan Chief Gods and over 30 ordinary Chief Gods. Are we truly incapable of destroying them completely?”

Gana, the Lord of the Sea, stood up, placed His large hand on Pontos’s head, and through the unique power of a Titan Chief God, transmitted a stream of information to Pontos that no one else could perceive.

“My youngest son, commit the following information to memory and never repeat it to anyone.

What is the Divine Domain of the God-King and the Queen Goddess, my brother and sister?

In countless cycles of civilization creation and annihilation, the God-King, who wields the Authority of Destruction, and the Queen Goddess, who wields the Authority of Life and Creation, have gained immense benefits. Their power has already far surpassed that of the other Titan Chief Gods.

There is creation only because there is destruction. There is a beginning only because there is an end. And the end is always a new beginning; destruction gives rise to new creation.

They are truly a match made in heaven. Therefore, His Majesty permits the existence of the Abyss and the Hells. He permits the cycles of civilization. He permits all things new, and He permits all things old, because no matter what emerges, it is all guided toward an inevitable end!

Even the last civilization, led by the rebellious Son of the God-King, Augustin, who, with the aid of the Goddess of Hope and the favor of the Great Source, unified the continent, achieved Demigod status, and possessed the strength of a Titan Chief God in the Inner Plane by leveraging his Empire’s Authority, still met its inevitable end.

Augustin’s life provided an immense harvest for His Majesties, the God-King and Queen Goddess.

If even Augustin failed, what force in the Inner Plane of the world is truly capable of alarming His Majesty the God-King? All emerging life serves as His resource. His Majesty’s gaze is no longer fixed on the Inner Plane of the world; it is set on the Starry Void Sea beyond the world.”

The Larr Mountains were in the midst of deep winter. Thick layers of snow had completely covered the mountain range.

Although most of the Larr Mountains are snow-covered almost year-round, the mountains in winter are even more dangerous and desolate. The few remaining plants have withered. The hungry Monsters and equally hungry Barbarians are the dangerous hunters of the mountains.

Betty drove the Apprentice Model 1 in the middle of the group. She adjusted the machine’s structure, slowly releasing Mana-converted heat and steam, which gathered a large group of people around her.

“It’s so warm near Betty,” Donna sat on the back of the Apprentice Model 1, watching Betty use the Wonder greatsword to cut down withered branches along the path. She said, “Knight Ancestar is also very warm. He is still helping others at this time.”

The focus shifts to the rear of the group. Having fled the Northern March Fortress too hastily, many people lacked sufficiently warm clothing. Since they were not Wizard Apprentices, they had not undergone Mana Siphoning meditation, and their physical attributes were still mortal. They were now succumbing to severe frostbite.

Ancestar and Arno were holding hands with the people at the back of the line. Through this method, they were sharing the warmth of their Heart Force with the others.

“I feel so warm! I am filled with courage and confidence!” a middle-aged man exclaimed. The frostbite on his body was slowly receding under the warmth of Arno’s Courage Heart Force. His face, which had been purple from the cold, was now steaming and gradually regaining color.

“We will definitely reach our new home and build the Wizard Academy and the magical small town!” A young Wizard Apprentice, who had not yet completed his initial magification and generated Inherent Mana, spoke. Although his physical quality was stronger than an ordinary person’s, without adequately warm clothes, he was shivering in the icy world.

“I feel so peaceful inside. Everything is beautiful.” This was an older woman, the mother of a Wizard Apprentice. She was tightly clutching Ancestar’s left hand. Influenced by his Compassion Heart Force, her mind and body felt calm.

Ollie looked at the crowd holding hands with Ancestar and Arno. Her eyes flashed with approval. Brother Arno still loves helping people!

Unfortunately, Inherent Mana and Heart Force seemed fundamentally different. Ollie’s Inherent Mana could not offer warmth to ordinary people. In fact, due to the intense, invasive nature of the Mana, it could even injure ordinary people.

Therefore, Ollie could only watch, unable to help much.
