Chapter 260: Astrological Prediction

In the Wizards’ Collective Subconscious Sea, at the bottom of the waves, a statue of Ace holding a torch was submerged in the seabed.

The statue emitted a faint red light. This was exactly half of the power Ace had cut off during his promotion. The Shadow of the True Spirit itself could not exceed one-tenth of Ace’s power, but due to the irresistible attraction of the Subconscious Sea, it almost forcibly retained half of the power from Ace’s promotion here.

With the communication of Ace’s True Spirit, the statue sleeping at the bottom of the sea began to shake violently, causing the entire Subconscious Sea to surge.

Ace opened his eyes and found himself simultaneously in the Subconscious Sea and his main body’s Soul Sanctuary.

‘One consciousness, different bodies?’

He touched another True Spirit phantom and found that he could control three bodies simultaneously and freely. After a few minutes, Ace felt immense exhaustion and immediately severed this connection.

‘So that’s how it is. As long as I maintain the state of beholding the True Spirit, I can synchronize with other clones, achieving one consciousness, shared memory, and different bodies.

‘If I cancel this state, the Shadow of the True Spirit will take effect, and the clones will possess their own consciousness.’

In the following time, Ace tried multiple times and finally confirmed that at the Level 1 Life stage, he could only derive two and a half Shadows of the True Spirit.

The reason it was two and a half was that he could derive a total of three True Spirit phantoms, but the third one would naturally return after solidifying for a period of time.

“This characteristic might be useful,” Ace murmured.

In the time that followed, Ace continued to study the characteristics of this half Shadow of the True Spirit and the corresponding Rune trajectories, while his clone borrowed Bayen’s Anazir’s Dice for research.

In early March of the Magic Calendar Year 9, the academic venue “High Tower,” used by Advanced Wizard Apprentices for the Mentor System and Project System research, had been established.

Ace remained in the Magic Castle’s West Tower, experimenting with a new 1-Ring Spell.

Inside the Soul Sanctuary, the True Spirit slowly descended, triggering the new 1-Ring Spell. The Runes of the 1-Ring Spell quickly lit up, and vitality Mana pulsed.

Outside the Soul Sanctuary, Ace’s body standing in the laboratory seemed to have a double image. A second later, the double image turned into a mirror standing in front of Ace.

Inside the Soul Sanctuary, the third True Spirit phantom beneath the True Spirit’s feet quickly solidified, turned into a Shadow of the True Spirit, flew out of the Soul Sanctuary, and plunged into the mirror.

Ripples appeared on the mirror, and a clone identical to Ace walked out, smiling and bowing. “The 1-Ring Spell ‘Time-Limited Mirror Image’ is a success.”

This spell was a simplified version of the Projection Ritual. By reducing the Runes of the three Magic Arrays—main body, projection, and sacrifice—he formed this 1-Ring Spell “Time-Limited Mirror Image.”

This spell would create a magic mirror with strong vitality mana. When a Shadow of the True Spirit was cast into it, it would rapidly generate a magic body with unified spirit and flesh. Because the manufacturing speed was fast, its existence time was relatively short.

This obedient “Time-Limited Mirror Image” could only exist for 2 hours and possessed one-twentieth of Ace’s strength. It could communicate with Ace in real-time, regardless of distance, thanks to the communication between the True Spirit and the True Spirit phantom.

This was a good helper for reconnaissance, confusion, luring enemies, feigning death, and combat.

On the other side, Ace’s research on the permanently existing Rational Clone projected by him also made phased progress.

The Rational Clone could not observe the Level 1 Runes inside Anazir’s Dice, but Ace himself could.

After recording the observed Level 1 Runes, Ace used the Spirit of the Book to degrade them into Level 0 Runes and then handed them to the Rational Clone for research.

In half a year, the Rational Clone successfully constructed a 1-Ring Spell, the Astrological Prevision Spell.

This spell could use astrological changes to predict certain things. Specifically, it could predict enemy movement trajectories, detect hostility and lies, crack ciphertexts, and see through concealment.

The above effects could not exceed the scope of a 1-Ring Spell. For example, this spell could not see through the concealment of a Great Hero or a 2-Ring Spell level concealment.

After experimenting with the two spells, Ace walked to his Magic Item secret room and opened it with a complex method.

He walked to the two-person-high Void Solute, cut off a small piece, and then returned to his meditation room.

Ace held the Void Solute close to his forehead, his spirit immersed in the Soul Sanctuary, and the True Spirit descended.

Guided by the rhythm of Mana, the Void Solute was slowly attracted by Ace’s vitality-filled Soul Sanctuary.

The Void Solute on his forehead flashed and disappeared, appearing in the Soul Sanctuary.

Inside the Soul Sanctuary, this small piece of Void Solute was almost three times the height of the True Spirit giant. Ace’s True Spirit struggled to lift it, pushing it up to the chaotic “mezzanine” at the top of the Soul Sanctuary.

There was a strange turbulence at this connection point, which easily crushed the difficult-to-digest Void Solute into powder. Within a day, Ace had absorbed this small piece of Void Solute.

Initially, Ace had placed the Void Solute in the Soul Sanctuary to digest slowly, but the effect was incredibly slow. By chance, he discovered that the True Spirit could lift the Void Solute, and accidentally touching the chaos at the top caused the Void Solute to be digested rapidly.

Since then, he had always used this method to digest the Void Solute.

The Void Solute could not be digested indefinitely. Only when his Mental Power scale increased correspondingly could he digest the corresponding Void Solute. Currently, his Mental Power scale had reached 14 unit, and roughly one degree could digest this small piece of Void Solute.

Ace’s Soul Sanctuary had become much broader. The Void Solute had expanded the space by almost double, which meant his Mental Imagery World Embryo space could accommodate double the traces of rules compared to others on the Path of the Mind.

‘Even though I behold the True Spirit, the Advanced Apprentice Meditation method has almost lost its effect. I must go out to find opportunities and create a new meditation method!’

Ace opened his eyes, his gaze full of determination.

‘The High Tower has been built. As long as the Wizard collective can maintain this academic atmosphere of coexisting competition and cooperation, there is nothing to worry about.

‘The committee formed by Advanced Wizard Apprentices can also operate relatively maturely. All matters of the Administrative Office have been delegated to the committee. Even if I leave the territory, I can rest assured.

‘But before that, there is one more research to be done.’

This was research Ace had wanted to do for a long time, but due to the limited strength of an Advanced Wizard Apprentice, he lacked the ability. This was the Living Creature Teleportation Spell.

The Equivalent Exchange Magic Array could achieve inanimate object transmission, but the essence of this Magic Array was not breaking the spatial barrier, but equivalent exchange. The key lay in the equivalent; if a living creature entered, it would turn into a dead object.

The Summoning Magic Array and Reverse Summoning Magic Array were different. This spell was a true spatial spell. Through spatial coordinate positioning, establishing a contract with a contracted creature, and then breaking the spatial barrier through summoning, one could teleport from one place to another.
