Chapter 316: True Body Entry
Ace entered the secret chamber. The Magic Array was still flickering. Standing in the very center, Ace activated a 2nd-Ring Derivative Spell of the True-Illusion Dream: True Body Dreamification.
The Dream Rune sequence and Runes related to reality transformation slowly emerged, forming a complex, layered, three-dimensional Rune structure that was dazzling to behold.
Following a fixed rhythm of Mana, Ace commanded this Spell Model. The entire model bloomed brilliantly like fireworks, constantly layering and emitting a sound like shattering glass. It transformed into crystalline Runes, circling and guarding Ace like stars in the sky.
Using his Mental Power, Ace directed the crystal-clear Runes. Like a rousing symphony following Ace’s Mental Power, the crystalline Runes merged into Ace’s body one by one.
His body gradually became illusory, his entire being turning transparent. His presence in the Main Material Plane grew increasingly thin until, like a bursting bubble, he vanished completely without a trace.
Although he had perceived this state through synchronization with his clone, experiencing it with his true body felt very fresh.
Ace was not in a hurry to teleport. Instead, he experienced the dimension of dreams, which was completely different. Relying on his powerful mental strength, Ace could exist independently, detached from the dreams of others.
“This feeling is somewhat similar to the Shadow Plane. The Dream Plane is attached to the Main Material Plane, overlapping yet parallel. As long as I enter the Dream Plane, it is very difficult for anyone to attack me.
“If I alternate with the Shadow Plane, my movements will be even more unpredictable.”
Ace immediately experimented with alternating between Dream, Shadow, and True Body states. After ensuring the operation was smooth, he activated the Magic Array to resonate with his clone in the Pocket World.
The distance of space slowly closed in. The barrier broke open, and the Dreamified Ace disappeared.
Outside of the World, inside the unnamed Pocket World.
The human nation was holding a grand sacrifice to select the noblest Witch to serve the Right Eye of God.
The weather was clear, and the sun was shining brightly.
On the magnificent altar, Xi, the 15th Generation Human Sovereign of the Kingdom of the King-Chosen, led twenty red-robed Witches, climbing the steps made of pure white marble, kowtowing with every step.
Boom!
Despite the clear sky, rumbling thunder suddenly appeared. Heaven and earth seemed to tremble slightly, as if welcoming something.
The air seemed to be filled with some kind of supernatural power. The humans present, especially the King-Chosen Warriors, almost all felt their own strength improving and their vitality increasing.
Dark clouds gradually gathered, as if a torrential rain was about to pour. Just as the people were in a state of shock and uncertainty, on the top level of the altar, humanity’s greatest sacred relic, the “Dwelling of God”—the right eye of the first generation noblest Witch, Zi—slowly floated up.
That crystal-clear right eye refracted colorful light. Endless dream illusions swayed, and a spiral Dream Gate opened. The people went into a frenzy!
“That is the Gate to the Divine Kingdom! The Gate of the Supreme God King, the Invisible King, has opened! I want to go in!”
A King-Chosen Warrior, looking like he was possessed, rose from his prostration and sprinted toward the altar.
Other King-Chosen Warriors also stood up one by one, wanting to rush up the altar. Even the current Human Sovereign lost his composure, running stumblingly with the Witches.
Human legends recorded that the first Witch, Zi, was the gatekeeper of the Divine Kingdom. She once led the first Human Sovereign, Duan, to have an audience with the True God.
Because of this, Duan was designated by God as the Human Sovereign and received unimaginable benefits, becoming the second King-Chosen Warrior to ignite Heart Fire. Under God’s guidance, he invented the Incomplete Ignition Method, lived to the age of seventy, and finally erupted his Heart Fire during the War of Independence against the Mundo Kingdom, burning nearly a thousand giant beasts and laying the foundation for humanity’s rise.
The position of Human Sovereign was not hereditary but based on a system of “God-Selected Recommendation.” The Human Sovereign would be chosen from Heart Fire Warriors between the ages of twenty and fifty. The Corps of King-Chosen Warriors would vote to select the top three candidates, who would then be presented to the Right Eye of God by the noblest Witch for the deity to make the choice.
As Ace’s true body descended into the Pocket World, he almost instantly felt the intimacy of two consciousnesses in this world.
One consciousness was as vast as an abyss, like the world itself; the other consciousness was like a spoiled child.
He instantly understood that this was the welcome from the World’s Subconscious and the Human Collective Subconscious. Like an ancient deity, layers of supernatural phenomena manifested the moment he appeared.
This place seemed to really want Ace to stay.
Ace sensed the rules of this world. Level 1 Runes were already akin to rules here, but there were deeper rule mysteries, perhaps equivalent to Level 2 Runes.
“According to the common knowledge I’ve learned, the rules manifested by the World Consciousness are lower level than the laws deeply hidden within the World Origin. By analogy, the fundamental laws of this world might be Level 3 Runes or higher!”
Ace, in his dispersed state, calculated in his mind. Although this Pocket World was low-level, its rules and fundamental laws should be relatively complete. This was a great opportunity for him to collect higher-level Runes.
The Pocket World’s subconscious also seemed to crave a high-level life form, constantly calling and tempting Ace. Ace did not respond; if he stayed in this Pocket World, it would truly be a prison of his own making.
The clone sensed Ace’s arrival and controlled the Right Eye of God, which had become the Divine Kingdom, opening the door to the Dream World. The layers of natural phenomena surged into the “Gate.”
The King-Chosen Warriors present watched as layers of dark clouds, thunderbolts, lightning, and violent storms poured into the “Gate” and couldn’t help but stop. Only the 11th Generation Human Sovereign, Xi, continued climbing. He gritted his teeth, tried hard to grab the marble steps, and wanted to have an audience with the True God.
Scattered drizzle fell on his body, instantly relieving his fatigue and making his Heart Fire beat incessantly like a heart.
That was a little bit of Mana leaked by Ace, which actually produced a magical reaction with his Heart Fire. A gust of wind rolled up, taking the Human Sovereign into the “Gate” with it.
The clouds dispersed, the rain stopped, and the bright sun hung high. Everything seemed like a dream. The Right Eye of God stayed quietly on the altar.
Inside the Right Eye of God’s Dream World, Ace continued to observe the Dream World that had become a Divine Kingdom. He discovered that some devout believers would enter the Dream World along the path of faith after death, living a second life there. They seemed to become part of the Dream World, unable to detach, sharing the fate of the world.
This mechanism of a Faith Divine Kingdom didn’t hold much attraction for Ace himself. The power didn’t come from oneself; it couldn’t achieve eternity, nor could it reach the other shore of truth.
“But this method is worth trying. Maybe I can create an Artificial Deity here to research the mysteries of Faith Gods. It is too difficult for Wizards in the Main Material Plane. Perhaps…”
Ace’s clone returned to the main body, and the two merged into one. The entire Dream World was cheering. The cowlick on Ace’s head swayed as he deconstructed the entire Dream World, especially the mechanism of faith.
“The desire of the believer is the fire, faith is the fuel. Ignite the fire of desire, burn the fuel of faith, and what is obtained is Divine Power.”
As Ace’s words fell, the endless desires accumulated in the entire Dream World were ignited, turning into a spherical flame as brilliant as the sun, burning fiercely.
