Chapter 380: Another Pseudo-Rank

Although Bunian dodged with all his might, he was still hit by several beams of multicolored light. As a result, many more of his wonders melted away. Ace’s 3-Ring Spell “Portal” consumed a great deal of mana, but its evasive capabilities were nearly maxed out—Bunian couldn’t get close at all.

Bunian threw a bottle of azure water at Helix, who was sleeping soundly on the ground. Bang!

The bottle shattered against Helix’ head. Azure liquid gurgled out and quickly invaded Helix’ head, pulling him back from the dream world.

Helix opened his eyes groggily. The sky was already brightening; the sun was rising. In the sky, Ace and Bunian were engaged in fierce confrontation. The Four-Element Pulverizing Disc and Elemental Disjunction alternated, occasionally mixed with fear-inducing dreams, forcing even the well-equipped Bunian to scramble in response.

Ace’s Elemental Disjunction had a limit; it couldn’t disjoin Pseudo-Noble Phantasms or Quasi-Noble Phantasms. So, after dissolving most of Bunian’s wonders below Level 3, Ace stopped the Elemental Disjunction barrage.

He subconsciously glanced at the rising sun and Bunian’s posture, sensing something amiss. Helix reacted, throwing himself beside the Pseudo-City of Space Sealing and pressing his hand onto it.

Ace’s eyes flickered. half of his mana was already consumed; he had to use a big move.

The phantom behind him gradually solidified. The Mental Imagery World manifested and overlaid reality, modifying it!

A gloomy, terrifying ancient battlefield descended. Countless undead, wielding various wonders, charged toward Helix, submerging him.

Bunian spat fiercely and flew toward the Pseudo-City of Space Sealing.

A massive light rose from the pile of undead. Dozens of shields protected Helix. Hiding inside, he was temporarily safe.

Although Ace didn’t understand why Bunian was rushing toward that small stone city, he was clear on one point: he absolutely could not let the enemy accomplish what they intended to do!

Ace’s silver hair flew. His entire aura rose to its peak. Deep within his Mental Imagery World, at the top of the spell model pyramid, a spell model densely covered in time anomalies suddenly shone brilliantly!

“Golden Spell— Fixed-Time Stagnation!”

“3-Ring Derivative Spell—Frost Seal!”

Mana pulsed. Time around Bunian was slowed down dozens of times. Then, frost crept all over his body, freezing him completely. This was Ace’s strongest control spell—dual control using freezing and time stagnation!

Looking at the immobilized Bunian, Ace whispered, “It should end now.”

He extended his hand. The Four-Element Pulverizing Disc appeared in front of his palm. With a forceful push, a “Portal” appeared in front of it. The Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water Pulverizing Disc crossed the spatial gate, slicing Bunian’s head off directly and grinding it into granules.

The Six-Element Ring behind Ace surged, extending a tentacle of extreme cold that extracted Bunian’s soul and froze it thoroughly. With a pop, it shattered into countless ice fragments.

Ace opened his Mental Imagery World, pulling Bunian’s headless corpse and that dagger into it. The Glazed Heart Fire stopped roasting the small fragment of the “Star of Ultimate Evil” and turned to burn Bunian’s corpse, violently extracting the bloodline power within.

Aleias slowly picked up the dagger, sensing its expression with her Artisan Bloodline. Runes circled around her like a dashing and beautiful Valkyrie in prayer.

Ace looked at Helix, who had trapped himself, his eyes flickering as if pondering something.

Helix felt his hair stand on end. Stared at by Ace, he felt as if he had encountered a prehistoric beast or a natural predator, trembling all over with fear.

That was the natural pressure of strength. Helix was different from the Great Hero Bunian; he didn’t have numerous wonders, nor did he have a Pseudo-Noble Phantasm. He was just an ordinary Great Hero. His own strength wasn’t even comparable to Karim, who had been killed by Ace, let alone Ace, a Golden Wizard.

A derivative 3-Ring Spell Model combined from Fear and Supremacy appeared in Ace’s eyes. Taking a step forward, he flashed directly over the shields. Dream mist emerged, enveloping Helix.

Helix was terrified by Ace’s use of Fear and Supremacy. Ace had already understood Helix’ situation: his overall physical and mental strength did not exceed 200 units. As long as he was pulled into the dream, he couldn’t possibly resist.

Helix’ eyelids grew heavy. His eyes became lifeless; he completely gave up struggling and prostrated on the ground.

Ace’s Mental Imagery World gradually merged with Helix’ dream. Ace pulled Helix’ body into the Mental Imagery World, suspended it in the sky with manifested chains, extracted his soul, and after subjecting it to Fear and Supremacy terror, threw it into the dream cycle of the Mental Imagery World.

The Fixed-Time Stagnation Spell Model flickered. Ace reversed the Spell Model’s cycle, targeting the dream cycle of the Mental Imagery World. Hum!

The brilliant Star Mana in the Lake of Mana decreased rapidly, and the cycle spun rapidly. In an extremely short time, Helix quickly went through birth, aging, sickness, and death dozens of times, finally completely converting to the great Supreme God Ai.

Bakar Palace. King Ludendorff had woken up. After discovering the fierce battle at Bunian’s mansion, he didn’t rush there rashly. Instead, he went to the temple first to retrieve the blessing divine power of the God of Craftsmanship.

Inside the Bakar Temple, a sculpture of a muscular man holding a hammer high shone brightly. Divine power flowed over the statue, faintly possessing infinite tension.

Ludendorff entered the temple, raised his hands above his head, knelt on both knees, and prayed to the statue.

The Deities of the Kaya World didn’t have the good habit of responding to every prayer. They weren’t gods of faith and didn’t need to deal with faith and prayers.

In fact, were it not for the need for the City-State’s status power to consolidate their divine state, the gods probably wouldn’t bother with the laughable disputes of the mortal world at all. If interested, they might enthusiastically make a bet and sponsor a certain human.

All Divine Descendants communicated with the Deities through the statues in the temples. Of course, more often than not, they were merely communicating with the divine power within the statues.

The God of Craftsmanship seemed to respond to Ludendorff’s prayer. Divine power flowed slowly, and a flash of pale golden light passed, enveloping Ludendorff. That was the power of status. Ludendorff received the Deity’s permission to temporarily command the power of status, becoming a Pseudo-Rank Legendary Hero.

Boom!

Ludendorff experienced this unparalleled power for the first time. Unfortunately, unlike Alex , he couldn’t create his own Noble Phantasm. He was merely a Pseudo-Rank Legendary Hero within Bakar City-State possessing the strength of a Legend without a Noble Phantasm.

“Even so, it’s enough. Let me see who dares to invade Bakar City!”

Ludendorff’s power surged, blooming with pale golden brilliance, as he spoke with full confidence.

Ace picked up the small stone city. Rune structures flickered dazzlingly in his eyes. Just as he was about to study and analyze the secrets within, he suddenly saw a pale golden light soaring into the sky from the direction of the temple. Narrowing his eyes slightly, he whispered, “Is this another Pseudo-Rank? Could this be the underlying confidence of every City-State?”
