Chapter 400: Miserable Escape

The Golden Spells Dimensional Mastery and Teleportation finally took shape.

These two spells were both Root Spells, capable of deriving numerous spell effects. The Golden Spell Dimensional Mastery had three effects.

The first was to create a super-stable subspace to imprison enemies or protect oneself. Ace called this the derived Golden Spell Dimensional Guardian. The second was to create an extremely unstable subspace, which Ace named the derived Golden Spell Dimensional Burst. Finally, there was the normal creation of subspace, which Ace named the derived Golden Spell Dimensional Creation.

The Golden Spell Teleportation had two effects: Directional Blink and Non-directional Long-distance Teleportation. Among them, combining Non-directional Long-distance Teleportation with Dimensional Burst formed the 4-Ring Combo Spell Golden Banishment.

Ace, reduced to just a head, first activated the derived Golden Spell Dimensional Guardian. After firmly protecting his head with a small, super-stable subspace, his eyes, alternating between gold and red, bloomed with radiance, searching for the fragile nodes of the spatial turbulence.

In his vision of black and white, Ace spent a day finally finding a fragile node. He instantly activated the Golden Spell Dimensional Burst, shattering the barrier of the spatial turbulence.

Amidst the void, space shattered, and the barrier broke. A patch of lush green grass came into Ace’s view, only the grass seemed to zoom in and out, and the surrounding space twisted constantly, appearing extremely unstable.

Ace hesitated no longer. He didn’t have much mana left. If he missed this opportunity, he might be trapped in the spatial turbulence channel forever.

Ace, with only a head, bounced and jumped into the spatial gap blasted open by Dimensional Burst. Large and small spatial rifts collided with Ace’s Dimensional Guardian.

Tiny, glass-like cracks appeared on Ace’s Dimensional Guardian. He pushed his remaining mana to the limit and finally broke free from the spatial turbulence channel before the spatial gap vanished.

Rumble!

Children playing on the green meadow noticed the sky suddenly darkening. A girl shouted in terror, “The sky is splitting! The sky is splitting!”

The dark clouds and lightning came quickly and left quickly. In just a breath, the clouds cleared, and the rain stopped.

The girl rubbed her eyes vigorously and looked closely; the large hole in the sky had vanished.

The sky was clear, and sunlight poured down. Everything was so harmonious. If not for the raindrops still weighing down the tender leaves of the grass, the children would have almost thought they had had a strange dream.

No one noticed a head abruptly appearing in the sky during the downpour, rolling onto the ground under the cover of dark clouds and heavy rain.

Ace’s condition was somewhat miserable. He didn’t have much mana left, and the Dimensional Guardian had completely shattered during the violent tearing when crossing the spatial gap.

He panted heavily. Although he didn’t know the exact location, this was definitely not the Salia region.

Because in his mental imagery dream world, True Spirit Ace had once again achieved the trinity, resonating with the Wizards’ Subconscious Sea and the shadow of the True Spirit in Daina’s pendant. Based on these three points, the approximate location could be confirmed: this should be inside the Inner World, located to the west of Salia.

Ace really didn’t have the mana to support the resonance, nor could he determine the distance in detail. As for how far west, it was unknown.

Ace did not meditate here. This was unfamiliar territory, and his first thought was to hide himself. Directly manifesting the Starry Sky Meditation Method would cause too much of a commotion. He decided to spend more time slowly absorbing the power of the stars to recover his strength gradually.

Earth elements gathered around Ace. The surface of his head was covered by a layer of hard stone, gradually turning into a sculpture of a head with a broken neck.

This was the effect of the derived spell Stoneskin, and also the disguise Ace prepared for himself.

A day later, due to the sudden weather change yesterday, none of the children went to the green meadow to play except for Luna. Luna was the girl who had shouted loudly yesterday. she looked about eleven or twelve years old, with somewhat dry, yellowish-brown hair and cheeks red from the cold.

The reason she returned to the green meadow was not just for play, but out of inner curiosity. She was a child from a nearby village. clearly a mortal, yet she always dreamed beautiful dreams of being favored by the Deities.

“Yesterday’s strange phenomenon might be a revelation from the Deities. Isn’t it often like this in stories? Deities leave anomalies as revelations, and only the smartest mortals can comprehend the Deities’ revelations and receive their favor!

“As long as I become a lucky Favored One, I can stand shoulder to shoulder with the Divine Descendants and gain unimaginable abilities.”

Clearly just a child, yet her eyes burned with a longing for a higher position and a trace of unrealistic fantasy for her age.

She searched with hopeful eyes. The sunlight today was very good. Various wildflowers bloomed like stars in the grass. The faint fragrance of the green grass was intoxicating, but Luna had no interest in this. She searched inch by inch, hoping to obtain the favor and love of the Moon Goddess Artemis like “Lucky Lyla.”

Regrettably, she found nothing related to the revelation. The sun was gradually setting in the west, and night began to shroud the earth. Looking at the silence around her and listening to the howling of animals, Luna suddenly felt some regret.

“I should have gone back earlier. I should have gone back earlier. Stupid Luna!”

Luna’s stomach growled. She bit her dry lower lip. It was getting later and later, and the fear in her heart was constantly magnifying.

She remembered what her mother said before she died: “You must return to the village before dark!”

She broke into a run. The cold moonlight spilled onto her. The howling of surrounding animals, the sounds of insects, and the long cries of birds all made her heart palpitate. She ran faster and faster until—thump—Luna slipped on something and took a hard fall.

Falling suddenly, combined with not having eaten all day, made Luna feel dizzy. Her face pressed against the cold, damp grass, feeling extremely frustrated.

“What am I doing!”

Covered in mud, Luna slowly stood up and found she had been tripped by a round stone. The embarrassed and annoyed little girl kicked the stone hard, only to hop around holding her foot in pain.

Just then, the sound of a monster running fast approached, the panting getting closer and closer.

Luna trembled all over. At this moment, she was completely scared witless, looking blankly at the monster with dark fur and red-glowing eyes rushing towards her.

“Thunder Cheetah…”

Luna’s legs went soft. Thump, she knelt on the ground, trembling all over, like a pitiful and powerless little white rabbit.

Just then, the “round stone” Luna had just kicked floated up. The stone accelerated abruptly, charging directly at the cheetah. It smashed the head of this low-level monster to a pulp before falling back down.

Luna stared blankly. That stone seemed to possess an inexplicable charm, attracting her to get closer.
