Chapter 478: The Fourth Law

After Polina replicated the “Blood Source Spell,” she went to the City of True Knowledge to integrate the newly born “Blood Kin.” Let’s set that aside for now.

On the other hand, Bruce finally grew up after eighteen days. He also discovered a secret after coming back from the dead.

“It turns out that eighty percent of my accumulation from my previous life is returned when I reach adulthood, including mana, physical and mental strength, as well as runes and spells!”

The young Bruce said somewhat excitedly.

Allen and Eva, who had already reached the peak of intermediate wizard apprentices, nodded perfunctorily: “Indeed good news. If we all advance to Official Wizards in the dream world, this is indeed good news. But being killed in the stage of junior wizard apprentice, losing nearly a hundred days of development—the disadvantages should outweigh the advantages.”

Bruce’s face collapsed. The three of them laughed and celebrated Bruce’s rebirth while heading out of the City of True Knowledge to explore.

…

“Fantasia” Dream World, Unknown Planet, an isolated place.

Thirteen Star Noble Phantasms flickered around Ace. His momentum had risen to Permanent Epic, and his eyes flickered with pure white light. A small city was slowly disintegrating in front of him.

Spending nearly a hundred days in the “Fantasia” world, Ace successfully cracked the Quasi-Noble Phantasm “City of Protection”. All the Level 3 Defensive Runes within were revealed and accommodated by him into the Space Spell “Dimensional Grasp.”

“Sure enough, going out for a walk and changing my mood made the efficiency faster after coming back. This way, I can construct an extremely sturdy alien dimension.”

Ace wiped away a nonexistent bead of sweat with satisfaction. Being a Level 3 Life, his body had been initially sanctified, so sweat would not easily appear.

The Quasi-Noble Phantasm “City of Protection” had turned into specks of light and disappeared into “Fantasia.” Ace activated the 5-Ring Spell “Dimensional Grasp” and began to carefully construct a sturdy alien dimension on the surface of his body.

This process was extremely difficult because the alien dimensions that needed to be constructed were too numerous and tiny. Ace’s multiple attempts ended in failure.

He frowned and pondered: “Maybe I should construct a larger alien dimension to accumulate rich experience before creating tiny alien dimensions to enhance my body strength.”

Ace left the “Fantasia” Real Dream world and returned to Nightlight City. It was already winter. The first snow had covered Nightlight City, leaving it white everywhere.

Floating above Nightlight City, Ace slowly detached his mental imagery world from the “Fantasia” Real Dream. The usually lively Nightlight City was somewhat desolate today, not only because of the first snow but also because of the popularity of “Fantasia” during this period.

Almost all wizards in the city-state were immersed in this virtual world that was nearly identical to reality. Apart from necessary daily meditation, they spent almost all their time immersed in it.

Other supernatural beings also purchased fantasy crystals through various channels and entered the “Fantasia” dream world.

Here, death was not the end. Although the penalty for death was heavy, they could be alive and kicking again after ten real days. More importantly, all the experience, knowledge, and results they gained from adventuring, fighting, researching, and learning here were real and true.

Even if they suffered severed limbs, severe injuries, or near-death in the dream world, they would have the chance to fully recover in the Dream God Temple. This allowed the supernatural beings of the city-state to accumulate a large amount of actual combat experience, and their strength grew rapidly unknowingly.

Radicals even believed that since the time flow in the dream world was ten to one, it meant their lives were extended tenfold in the dream world. Except for things that must be completed in the real world, they were more willing to roam in the dream world.

And the more frequently they were active in the dream world, the richer Ace’s harvest was. This was a mutually beneficial process. Participants gained more time, experience, knowledge, and research results, while Ace harvested more Hearts of Dream.

“But if this goes on, I’m afraid the city-state will be too deserted. Moreover, once people become too addicted to the dream world, it will not be good for the long-term development of the city-state.”

Ace frowned slightly. The mist of “Fantasia” appeared, and a scroll of dream rules emerged. Ace made a grasping motion with his right hand, and the dream manifested a crystal-clear bright white quill.

He picked up the quill and wrote: “Reference Laws for the operation of ‘Fantasia’, Law Five: Any Dreamwalker can only roam in ‘Fantasia’ for no more than twelve hours within one real day. Those who exceed the time will be forcibly logged out of ‘Fantasia’.”

A fantasy crystal ball gradually appeared. A hazy figure seemed to take away the scroll of dream rules and then dissipated.

In the dream world, a light screen suddenly popped up in front of the roaming Dreamwalkers. At the same time, a countdown appeared on their Attribute Panels.

Bruce and the others, who were adventuring, missed their spells because of the suddenly popped-up light screen.

Bruce’s fireball burned off Allen’s hair in an instant. The magic crystal short sword thrown by Eva hit Bruce’s thigh, making him scream in pain.

Several magical creatures they were beating up took the opportunity to escape. Their faces were gloomy, looking at the light screen with confusion and anger.

“Ouch, it hurts. How could this be? How can they limit our time in the dream world!”

Bruce hugged his thigh, rolling in pain while shouting.

This scene happened to almost all Dreamwalkers. For example, the skinny Luther, who was immersed in a duel with eight powerful low-level magical creatures, was suddenly forcibly ejected from the dream world.

The deserted Nightlight City instantly became lively. Cursing and crying sounds were endless.

Ace smiled slightly: “This is the right way. Reality and dream must be balanced. Even for the Game Domain, reality cannot be neglected, right?”

Having done all this, Ace airily tore open space and arrived at the Outer World, the Sea of Reality and Illusion.

The Prime Material Plane resided in the center, with the Kaya Divine Mountain high above and the Hell Abyss winding below. Ace stood in the void, looking around and observing. He prepared to find a location to experiment with constructing an alien dimension.

“Space cannot be formed out of thin air. Its essence is a transformation, whether composed of mana, destroying other alien dimensions, or using Void Creatures as supplements. Even mixing several methods is possible, but it is the most difficult.

“First, this place cannot be too close to the Kaya Divine Mountain and the sub-planes and semi-planes of the gods to avoid attracting the attention of Deities.

“Second, this position cannot be too close to the intersection of Hell, the Underworld, and the Abyss; otherwise, it will be influenced by evil and attract the attention of demons or devils.

“Third, the mana in this location should be relatively abundant. Although the Sea of Reality and Illusion is full of mana, it is better to choose a place with relatively concentrated mana.

“Fourth, there should be some Void Creatures and alien dimensions in this location to serve as resources for my practice.”
