Chapter 497: Mutation
After creating one dream bubble, replication was too simple. In just one minute, Ace replicated nearly a thousand dream bubbles. He shook his head, seeming dissatisfied. He took a deep breath and blew forcefully.
Those nearly a thousand dream bubbles replicated and multiplied rapidly. In the blink of an eye, there were more than a hundred thousand bubbles.
Ace nodded with satisfaction. He took out the Astral Compass, holding it in his left hand. Under the shining light, he shrouded all the dream bubbles.
Descending from the upper realm to the lower realm was not movement in the ordinary sense. Every layer of the Astral Plane was infinitely vast and infinitely deep.
Roaming within it, one could never pass through the Astral Layer Membrane to reach the lower or upper layers.
Only with the help of the Secret Art of the Astral Compass could a portion of information be projected to the lower layers. This wasn’t some incredibly secretive matter. It was just that generally, only Deities might master the ability to project information to lower layers. Giant dragons were quite special; they could achieve this through the compass.
“If I project information to the same layer or upper layers, there is a risk of leaking the coordinates of my home world. But the lower layers, are merely Level 3 Worlds, Level 2 Worlds, or even Level 1 Worlds. Even for a Level 3 World, the strongest is no more than a True God.
“If it’s a Level 2 World, the strongest is no more than a Demi-god, making it even more worry-free.”
Thinking while acting, Ace shrouded all the dream bubbles with the magnificent light of the Astral Compass. When the light dissipated, the dream bubbles were gone without a trace.
From a perspective Ace could hardly observe, the dream bubbles had already passed through the Astral Layer Membrane. With the help provided by the Astral Compass, they scattered like streams of light, carrying information in all directions.
The lower Astral Plane was equally desolate and empty, but its time flow seemed much faster than the upper layer. Perhaps results could be obtained sooner.
After sowing the seeds, Ace descended to the Dream Earth Center of his mental imagery world. He constructed a large altar on it and placed the Astral Compass in the center of the altar.
His figure flickered, and a clone walked out, sitting properly under the Astral Compass, specifically responsible for receiving and responding to possible information from the lower layers.
Ace no longer paid attention to it. His mind detached from the mental imagery world, and he opened his eyes. A burst of dream mist shrouded him, and his consciousness entered “Fantasia.”
Over the past year or so, a total of sixteen elements had been discovered one after another. The research of the Element School had made great progress. Ace took out the Magic and Elements journals from the past year and read them seriously.
While Ace was browsing the latest frontier academic research, in Port Tsmali, a graceful figure had already walked into the temple of Demigod Pontos.
She prostrated herself respectfully before the divine statue and said loudly: “The Witch under the Throne of the Prince of Lust pays respects to the Great Holiness Pontos. The Great Prince of Lust sends his regards to you.”
A group of merfolk seemed to be charmed by her, turning a blind eye. Sauron guarded outside the temple door, looking slightly uneasy.
The divine statue was shrouded in milky white light, seemingly turning into a living thing, and spoke.
“You are a Witch of Hell. How dare you come to My temple? Do you think you can bully Me because My injuries haven’t healed? Although I am injured, killing you is as easy as pinching an ant.”
The Witch was unmoved and said respectfully: “Great Holiness Pontos, you should already know that the danger and change foretold have arrived!”
Her upper body was straight, while her lower body maintained a kneeling posture. Her expression was blurred: “The Giant Tree has arrived; change is imminent. There is no time for you to heal slowly and then achieve True God status.”
Pontos snorted coldly: “My Father God is one of the Twelve Titan Main Gods. My affairs need not concern you devils.”
The Witch’s eyes suddenly turned golden yellow. She actually floated in mid-air, mumbling…
Pontos’s face changed drastically, in disbelief. He murmured: “It’s actually…”
Before he could finish, the Witch flew to his lips and blocked his mouth.
In the Abyss, countless powers seemed to be surging. Suddenly, darkness shrouded various Abyss Projection Areas in the Inner World, and the aura of the Abyss became exceptionally dense.
With a burst of explosion in the Abyss, countless demons actually descended into the Inner World in their true forms from the Abyss.
A demon covered in frost with black flame wings on his back suddenly appeared in the sky above Milne City. As soon as this demon appeared, his body expanded rapidly. In just a blink of an eye, the demon was nearly five hundred meters tall, stepping on the palace buildings of the royal palace with one foot.
He spread his wings, and endless black flames fell like meteors. Rolling on the ground, they did not burn but caused a patch of freezing.
Black frost shrouded Milne City almost instantly. A large number of demons crawled out from the black frost flames. People cried and struggled, but to no avail.
King Yves of Milne did not hesitate. He immediately mobilized the Authority, becoming a pseudo Legend in an extremely short time.
A light shield emerged from his hand, enlarging rapidly and hitting the huge demon. The demon didn’t care; he smashed the light shield with a fierce punch and grabbed King Yves with his giant palm.
Yves was powerless to struggle. He asked painfully: “Who exactly are you? Aren’t you demons afraid of the retaliation of My Ancestor God Milne?”
The demon laughed loudly, crushing the Milne Temple with one foot, and said arrogantly: “I am Demon Lord (Demigod) Arason, the head of the Frost Demons. As for your Ancestor God, that fool with the shield is probably too busy taking care of Himself in the Astral Void. Wait until He can come back to talk about it!”
After speaking, he squeezed hard, crushing Yves directly like an ant.
At the same time, in the Abyss Projection region south of the High Tower, an aura of evil and chaos had also descended. There seemed to be ravings and anger.
Ace, who was modifying the underlying structure of his mental imagery world based on the newly discovered elements, was also startled awake. He stopped adjusting the mental imagery world and opened his eyes. White light bloomed in his pupils, his expression worried.
“What’s happening? Two extremely powerful auras of evil and chaos have descended. Being so powerful, they can only be Demigod level existences!”
He was bewildered. With a flash, he arrived in the sky above Nightlight City, looking into the distance with all his might, observing the source of that powerful aura.
“No mistake. Two demons comparable to Demigods have descended on Salia. What do the demons want to do? Foreign invasion is imminent…”
Thoughts swirled in Ace’s mind. Fortunately, he didn’t voice his words. While he was thinking, Thoth’s clone had already appeared behind him.
He said to Ace: “Almost at the same time, all Abyss Projection Areas in the Prime Material Plane rioted simultaneously. The devils of Hell are also active everywhere.
“I can’t explain that much to you right now, but we might be facing the greatest crisis since the birth of the gods. The Kaya Divine Mountain cannot spare any hands for the time being. We can only resist the demons and devils on our own.
“These damn scums!”
Even the always gentle Thoth couldn’t help cursing. He was on the verge of advancing to True God, but unexpectedly encountered such a thing, making him exceptionally angry for a moment.
Ace’s heart shivered. If the demons and devils really betrayed the world, the result would be hard to predict.
