Chapter 506: Unpredictable Fortune and Misfortune
From the perspective of the world, this process was close, but to Ace, it seemed very far away. Even though the two great worlds were already locked together, a collision would not happen overnight.
White light flickered in Ace’s eyes as he thought and calculated in his heart.
“At the current speed, if not accelerated, it will take at least a hundred years for the two worlds to truly collide. Even if accelerated, it is estimated that it will not be less than fifty years.
“Although my strength is growing fast, in this era of great struggle, Level 3 strength doesn’t even qualify me to step onto the stage.
“Fortunately, the vines extended by the Giant Tree penetrated deep into the ocean, actually forming a new continent there. The entire geocentric world now has three continents, quite distant from each other.
“It seems I must ask Holiness Thoth about the future direction; my information is far too scarce.”
Both the World Crystal Wall and the Prime Material Plane Crystal Wall were gradually recovering, tightly clamping the vines. The gods, led by the God King, purged and expelled most of the enemies, though a few Outer Gods from the Other World successfully reached the Underworld.
A standoff formed inside the Kaya World. Because the vines of the Other World inserted into the earth’s core and sent that World Crystal flower bud into the Great Source, the Great Source boiled and devoured it, unexpectedly falling into a slumber.
…
Underworld, Temple of the King of the Underworld.
This temple was located beside the source of the River Styx. Behind it was the Wall of the Faithless, where the True Spirits of countless intelligent beings who did not believe in gods wailed in pain.
King of the Underworld Ramol and Sea King Nadaya stood at the edge of the River Styx, looking at the surging river. Lamor spoke: “The sincerity of the Other World has reached the Great Source. That unopened flower is the essence of the Other World and contains the experience of world promotion. No World Will can refuse it.”
Nadaya also said: “Now the overall situation is set. Having obtained this unopened flower, the World Will inevitably used all available power to understand and fuse with this flower. Us gaining a little favor is a small matter; the key is that the Great Source has fallen into slumber, and the God King has lost the possibility of mobilizing the Great Source to act on behalf of the world.”
Lamor nodded: “Thus a temporary balance can be formed. Other Titan Main Gods might not necessarily lack dissenting thoughts; Kronos has been in this position for too long.”
Nadaya said: “We are not betrayers of the world, but guides for the world’s promotion. A brand new era is about to begin. Everything will be redefined!”
The Inner World remained as before; existences above Level 5 could not enter. After returning to the Inner World, Ace felt slightly relieved.
In the Outer World, he didn’t even have the qualification to take the stage, but in the Inner World, he barely counted as top-tier combat power. With his mind settled, Ace ignored other wizards and walked straight into the Temple of Thoth.
Ace bowed humbly to Thoth’s statue and stood in attendance by the side.
After about half an hour, Thoth’s statue gradually glowed. Gentle divine light instantly illuminated the entire hall. Thoth’s clone walked out from it. He was radiant, looking like a man made of light.
“Ace, why have you sought me out?”
Hearing Thoth’s question, Ace immediately bowed and said: “I just went to the Outer World and witnessed the Other World extending its vines. I also saw the Sea King and the King of the Underworld betray His Majesty the God King. I am very confused about the current situation and hope to receive Your Holiness’s guidance.”
The divine light on Thoth gradually dissipated. He still looked handsome and sunny, but there was a trace of fatigue in his demeanor.
He said to Ace patiently: “I am very gratified that you seek my guidance.
“The current Kaya World will inevitably have three forces. Whether it is the Kaya Deities led by the God King, the rebellious gods led by Lamor, or even the Outer Gods of the Other World, all struggles must be based on the premise of safeguarding the interests of the world.
“The High Tower Wizards you lead will more likely fight in the Inner World. The city-states may be maintained, but the situation of God-descendant rule will definitely be broken.
“This is also your opportunity. Perhaps in the near future, wizards won’t need to hide; you can appear openly in various city-states and become important combat forces.”
Hearing Thoth’s words, Ace was also somewhat excited in his heart. If this was truly the case, wizards would welcome a new era and enter a fast lane of development.
Under the crisis, the God King would inevitably be relatively generous. As the leader of wizards, Ace could definitely gain more space.
“Your Holiness, everything follows your guidance. You are the Patron of wizards; our development cannot do without your protection.”
Ace gently flattered him, and Thoth laughed loudly: “I didn’t realize you, Ace, knew how to flatter too. No need to worry too much. As long as you stay in the Inner World, you won’t be in any danger.
“Do research seriously. If a large number of Legendary Wizards can appear within ten years, you will be the absolute protagonists of this civilization generation. Follow closely in the God King’s footsteps and find your own positioning.”
Thoth spoke with half encouragement and half warning, then vanished as a beam of light.
Ace slowly walked out of the temple. That afternoon, he summoned all Level 2 Wizards and held a secret meeting in the High Tower outside the city.
Daina and Leon had just advanced to Level 2 some time ago. Laval, a potential newcomer of the Element School, also advanced to Level 2. Coupled with Bayen, Betty, Logan, Olli, Caruso, Polina, Warren, and Witte, the number of Level 2 Wizards in the Supreme Council had reached ten.
Including Ace, this Level 3 Wizard, there were twelve people in total. This was the essence and top combat power developed by the High Tower Wizards over nearly twenty years.
The top floor of the High Tower, a magnificent conference room. A controllable light sphere floated in mid-air, illuminating the entire room.
The walls, floor, and ceiling were covered in complex sealing runes, isolating the outside world. The Level 2 Wizards arrived one after another. Their expressions varied, but they all carried a trace of solemnity.
Bayen’s expression was determined; he was old but vigorous. Although he had experienced many things, he firmly believed that his path was the most correct one. Even if a hole appeared in the starry sky and terrible vines descended, it still didn’t break Bayen’s confidence.
He often said: “The foundation of truth has been established; the road ahead is bright.”
Betty, however, always looked somewhat worried. Some wavering had arisen in her heart; the overly huge gap shook her heart violently.
The other wizards had different expressions. Daina just held the pendant on her chest tightly, looking excited. She had finally achieved the status of a Level 2 Wizard, keeping up with Lord Ace’s pace.
The twelve people took their seats at the round table. Ace coughed lightly: “This meeting is a secret meeting. I will share some precious images with you all.”
Ace unrolled a contract scroll. After everyone signed and left their spiritual imprints, witnessed by the Wizard Subconscious Sea, a confidentiality contract was reached.
Then he snapped his fingers lightly. The scenes observed in the Outer World appeared like a movie playing. The Level 2 Wizards watched intently, waves rising in their hearts.
Everyone realized that a great era with unpredictable fortune and misfortune had arrived.
