Chapter 518: Once and for All

The woman’s expression froze. A thin line of blood appeared on her forehead, quickly spreading downwards throughout her body, which then slowly split apart.

Ace took out the clean white handkerchief washed by Lisa, gently wiped the sword spine and edge to remove dust and dirt, put it back into the scabbard at his waist, stepped over the corpse to approach the King Testing Stone, and touched it gently with his left hand.

Sizzle. Bright light, scorching heat. Ace’s hand became red and swollen almost instantly, as if scalded by boiling water. He let go immediately, circulating his blood energy, and the redness and swelling on his palm slowly subsided.

“It seems this stone is not suitable for me to touch. That’s fine.”

Ace turned around, bent down to take the key from the corpse, locked the warehouse, and rushed towards the hall as lightly as a cat.

Yamila, who had been killing in all directions just now, was forced into a corner. Violent Bear Maine had already activated the Nature Spirit. A violent grizzly bear roared behind him. Enveloped in brown-gray aura, he had already smashed the hall to pieces.

Yamila tried her best to dodge but always had lapses. The opponent’s attacks were fierce as mountains. She took a punch squarely, flying more than ten meters away, smashing through the wall of the hall, and rolling into the courtyard outside the hall. Spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood, she left a dark red flower on the ground.

Violent Bear Maine was unforgiving. Bending his legs and kicking off, he rushed towards Yamila like a cannonball. Just then, the house shook suddenly and collapsed with a bang.

It turned out that seeing the bad situation, Ace cut the Dead Line of the hall building. The dilapidated hall collapsed with a crash, burying the Maine Gang members and Violent Bear Maine himself in the ruins.

Ace leaped a few steps, picked up Yamila, jumped back a few steps, and placed her on the ground.

The accompaniment of fate began to sound. He whispered: “You did well. Just leave Violent Bear Maine to me. Take this bunch of keys and go to the fourth door from the right of the warehouse in the backyard. The King Testing Stone is there.”

Yamila wanted to say something but stopped. She looked at Ace, finally taking the keys from Ace’s hand, nodded, and stumbled towards the warehouse.

Ace took out the scroll from his bosom. A line of words was flashing. The Threads of Fate were disturbed according to the act. Staring at the ruins, he said without emotion: “All this is fate. I am the Restorer of Fate, guiding you to the key point of your own destiny. Come out, Violent Bear Maine.”

In the vision of the vertical eye between his eyebrows, the vast majority of fate nodes under the ruins had dissipated, slowly returning to the center of his eyebrows along the threads scattered by Ace.

Only the largest cluster of nodes was still jumping like flames. Ace’s pupils constricted slightly. holding the scabbard with his left hand and the hilt with his right hand, his eyes flickered with excitement.

“The drama has reached the climax. Everything should have a result.”

The music became more and more passionate. The rubble in the ruins vibrated. Violent Bear Maine rushed out with a bang. Covered in blood and dirt, he looked very wretched and angry.

This anger seemed to possess incredible power. Violent Bear’s aura increased greatly. He seemed to be shrouded in some kind of blood color from head to toe.

Ace looked at Violent Bear Maine’s eyes. That beast-like blood color reminded him of Old man Hakin’s description of Berserkers: “Once they lose their reason, they will turn into pure fighting beasts, strengthened in all aspects, making them difficult to resist. But as long as you survive this period, their strength, defense, speed, and even vitality will enter a weak stage.”

Thinking of this, while dodging Violent Bear’s swift attacks, Ace touched the scroll in his bosom. There was still plenty of time; he could stall.

He concentrated the power of Heart Fire in his limbs and waist, dodging Violent Bear Maine’s pursuit like an extremely agile cat. His long sword occasionally flashed with a cold glint.

This was just a pure blade edge. Ace didn’t have much blue Heart Fire, and he didn’t want to consume it in probing. Every attack sounded like metal clashing against stone, making Ace’s palm numb.

“This guy has strong endurance. I can only roam for now; I can’t fight him head-on.”

Just as Ace was thinking about strategy, the music of fate suddenly became joyful, as if some huge victory had been achieved. The vertical eye between his eyebrows felt a violent disturbance of the Power of Fate.

The warehouse in the backyard erupted with milky white bright light, making Ace’s skin sting. Without a doubt, that was the power of the Holy Light. The Holy Light contained in the King Testing Stone had been almost completely activated by Yamila.

That Holy Light power surged, pouring into her body along the place where Yamila’s hand touched the King Testing Stone. Yamila’s power seed devoured the surging Holy Light hungrily, transforming bit by bit.

Yamila floated in mid-air together with the King Testing Stone. Faint holy songs rejoiced. Naturally born Little Angels of Light appeared one by one. These little angels sang hymns, coordinating with the milky white Holy Light, appearing exceptionally holy.

Although Violent Bear Maine had no reason, his combat intuition told him that what was happening in the warehouse was not good for him. He abandoned Ace without hesitation and rushed towards the backyard.

Seeing the bad situation, Ace also ran after him. If Yamila’s process was interrupted, the huge backlash might turn her into a beam of light.

And this would declare the complete destruction of the act in the scroll on Ace’s chest. The stage play manipulated by the Fate Restorer would fail, and the Threads of Fate would further backlash on Ace himself. His clone might even vanish into smoke.

“It seems I must bleed a little. The established script of fate allows no changes. Accept judgment, Violent Bear Maine.”

Bang!

Ace’s Heart Fire operated at full power. Azure blue Heart Fire burned on the long sword, making the long sword faintly distorted. His expression was solemn. Although it couldn’t be seen under the mask, the spreading blue flames had already declared Ace’s determination.

Ace thrusted forcefully with the distorted burning long sword. The sharp blue flame turned into a sharp tip of fire, rushing straight at Violent Bear Maine with Ace’s movement.

Maine felt the sound of piercing the air and burning behind him. He instinctively dropped to the ground, but unexpectedly, Ace slashed downwards with the long sword. That blue fire sharp tip actually changed its path midway, stabbing straight down.

“Hiss… Roar!”

Maine was not injured. The brown-gray Violent Bear phantom behind him withstood the sharp tip. As Ace pressed down forcefully, the sharp tip gradually disappeared. That phantom wailed, extremely furious.

At the same time, the Violent Bear phantom became less solid, increasingly unstable, and Maine’s aura also weakened a lot.

Ace didn’t hold back. Waving the burning long sword again, he drew a perfect arc of light, azure blue and burning, unusually bright and beautiful.

The Heart Fire in Ace’s chest disappeared by nearly half. He maintained his posture, beads of sweat the size of beans rolling down.

That arc of light was too swift. Maine didn’t have time to dodge. The phantom behind him roared loudly, actually moving in front of Maine to forcibly withstand the azure blue arc of light. For a time, sparks flew in all directions, shining together with the milky white light erupting in the warehouse.

Ace postured, arching his back and bending his knees, then sprang out fiercely.

The remaining blue flames burned, jumping over the phantom and Maine.

Using force from his waist and abdomen to twist, he turned unbelievably in mid-air. The long sword condensed the remaining blue Heart Fire. With a forceful throw, the long sword, already burned by the blue Heart Fire, stabbed towards Maine’s heart from the back.

Squelch!

The Heart Fire pierced through Maine’s heart, leaving a hole the size of a bowl. Only a small flame remained of the Heart Fire in Ace’s chest, burning weakly. He fell to the ground with a thump, soaked in sweat, breathing rapidly.

The milky white light became brighter and brighter, blooming suddenly then shrinking rapidly. Yamila in the warehouse had completed her transformation. The power seed in her body had advanced to the Fire of Holy Light, burning fiercely.

The King Testing Stone fell to the ground, turning into dust and shattering like gravel. Its power had been sucked dry by Yamila, losing its value.

Lying on the ground, Ace finally completed the fate script he set. Maine’s death, the destruction of the Maine Gang, and Yamila becoming a candidate for the King Selection. All of this caused the scroll in his bosom to bloom with brilliance, rapidly harvesting all Power of Fate.

The scroll turned into a light of fate in the blink of an eye, returning to the vertical eye between Ace’s eyebrows.

The Power of Fate was too vast. Whether it was the King Testing Stone, Maine himself, the Maine Gang, or even Yamila herself, they were all supply sources of Power of Fate. At this moment, they fed back enormous Power of Fate to Ace, stuffing the vertical eye between Ace’s eyebrows to the brim.

His power also recovered rapidly. Blood energy like mercury, Heart Fire raging. If not for the time needed to digest the Power of Fate, Ace could have advanced to a Level 1 Life on the spot.

He stood up, looking at the little angels flying nearby. The vertical eye had already seen through the essence of the little angels. They were pure activated Holy Light and did not possess souls. With the passage of time, these little angels would slowly disappear.

Ace extended his left hand. Threads of Fate caught a little angel like a net. He whispered: “Blue Bloods are cursed by the Holy Light, but the Power of Fate might be able to control the Holy Light.”

After speaking, Ace took off his mask and threw it, hitting the net-trapped little angel squarely. Under the pulling of the fate thread net, the angel slowly merged with Ace’s mask, sanctifying the entire mask.

Ace didn’t stop moving. He absorbed too much Power of Fate, far exceeding his capacity. Rather than letting the Power of Fate dissipate, it was better to turn it into threads to capture these little angels of light formed by miracles.

He wasn’t bored, but made a decision after mature consideration. This world was ruled by the Holy Light. How should a Blue Blood disguise and protect himself in this world?

Joining the Holy Light Church and becoming a part of the church was the answer Ace came up with.

Yamila was a ready-made introducer. As long as he showed affinity with the Holy Light, relying on the merit of saving Yamila and destroying the Maine Gang, it was completely feasible.

Ace captured thirteen little angels in total, forming thirteen holy radiances on his mask. The Threads of Fate condensed into a dense silk net attached to the inside of the mask.

Ace held the mask. Threads extended from his own fate nodes to connect with the fate silk net of the mask. At this moment, the Blue Blood in his body hid in his chest, sealed by the net of fate. He himself erupted with a burst of soft white light, shining together with the brilliance of the warehouse.

“This is the power of the Holy Light. Pure brightness. interesting. This world is also really interesting.”

Ace put on the mask, murmuring softly as he walked into the warehouse. Yamila was flickering with brilliance all over. Her beautiful figure appeared even more sacred under the Holy Light. Her expression was focused. Slowly opening her eyes, she said to Ace with pleasant surprise: “Mr. Cat, I have become a Star Radiance Knight. The Holy Light Seed has turned into a burning star fire. Thank you.”

Ace replied indifferently: “This is just an unexpected joy, and of course, an arrangement of fate. Compared to this, I have an idea.”

The sound of music rang out again, like some kind of prelude, making people feel completely different. Yamila also heard it clearly this time and couldn’t help asking: “Mr. Cat, did you hear strange music?”

Ace took a step back, raising his hands high above his head. His whole body bloomed with milky white holy radiance. He said with the music like chanting: “This is the performance of fate, a clanging rhythm. It has always accompanied us, only that your ears were blinded by vulgar things in the past, unable to hear the shout of fate.”

Listening to Ace’s nonsensical words, Yamila felt blank, giving rise to feelings of “who am I, where am I.” But Ace’s solemn expression and holy brilliance made people unable to help but believe.

She nodded subconsciously and said: “So that’s it. It’s the rhythm of fate. Mr. Cat, with your holy radiance, could you also be a clergy of the church?”

Ace put down his hands, pulled Yamila to sit on the ground, and said: “I was baptized by the Holy Light you activated, realized the wonder of My Lord Holy Light, and obtained the Lord’s grace. This is all fate’s choice. I want to discuss something with you now, also related to this.”

Having her hands held by Ace, Yamila blushed slightly. Seeing Ace’s solemn expression, she couldn’t help asking: “What matter?”

Ace didn’t rush to answer but asked back: “We destroyed the Maine Gang. Do you think a new order will be born in the Old Street? Will the poor residents of the Old Street live a good life?”

Yamila said somewhat hesitantly: “They should, right? No one will oppress them anymore, no one will collect protection fees anymore, and no one will rob, force buy and sell, or even kill and snatch people anymore.”

Ace chuckled softly: “Is that so? There are other gangs nearby, right? If a vacuum appears in the Old Street, what will they do?”

Yamila’s heart skipped a beat. Her thinking suddenly opened up, and she said in shock: “They will definitely grab territory! What should we do? Beat them back?”

Ace nodded and then shook his head: “Just doing this treats the symptoms but not the root cause. I have another method. The Old Street has nearly ten thousand people, all believers of the Holy Light, yet there are no clergy stationed here. I think it is a serious dereliction of duty. We should build a church here.

“Use the Holy Light to gather the people, use the Holy Light to protect the people, solving this matter once and for all.”

Hearing Ace’s words, Yamila nodded in agreement: “Indeed. If a church can be built here, equipped with church priests, pastors, templars, monks, and nuns, it will inevitably insure the safety of the area. But even St. Ivan Cathedral probably doesn’t have so much personnel allocation. Moreover, building a church is also a huge expense. This matter is very difficult.”

Ace smiled. If it weren’t difficult, why would he propose it? He leaned close to Yamila’s ear and whispered: “This matter is indeed difficult, but also not difficult. As long as you can do this… and this…”

Yamila’s ear tickled from Ace’s hot breath, her pink face slightly red. Listening to Ace’s words, she shook her head like a rattle drum.
