Chapter 538: Colorful New World

The people waiting in the Celestial Realm suddenly found white light flashing beside them. Immediately after, the people next to them disappeared one after another. In less than half an hour, there was no one left in the entire Celestial Realm.

At the same time, a large number of True Spirits from the Underworld were reborn along the Magic Net. Vibrant vitality reappeared on the seven life planets. All the dreamwalkers heard Ace’s words.

“I have restructured this world. The entire world centers around a star, with several planets orbiting it. Among them, there are seven habitable planets. Excluding the nation of the Son of God Augustus, the remaining six are all yours.

“You can freely compete or cooperate here. Those who unify a planet can obtain the status of King of the Planet in this world, achieving Level 3 relying on these resources!

“All Level 3 existences can ascend to the Celestial Realm and participate in higher secrets at the world level.

“In addition, the vast majority of the functions of ‘Fantasia’ have been activated. You can explore them yourselves.”

The continuous flashes of white light and Ace’s voice made Bruce somewhat dizzy. He was staggering to stand up when he suddenly froze. Looking at Elena in front of him, the two looked at each other in dismay for a while, then simultaneously made a move.

The methods of the Golden Wizard Bruce were simple and violent. Although Elena was also a Level 2 lifeform, she was slightly weaker after all. She was finally subdued by Bruce . Blue laughed, hit Elena hard a few times, and said ferociously:

“It really is a small world. I didn’t manage to kill you a few times in ‘Fantasia,’ but coming to the Bernard World this time, I finally caught you. Tell me how you ran out of the dream, and I’ll give you a quick death.”

Elena’s face was flushed, seemingly extremely angry. After taking a few deep breaths, she said: “I am one of the Thirteen Progenitors of the Vampire Clan appointed by the Dream God. The Dream God chose me to descend to this world to turn the Vampire Clan from nothingness into reality. I shoulder an important task from the Dream God. If you kill me, I’m afraid there will be backlash if this task fails.”

Hearing this, Bruce’s expression froze. He used magic crystals to bind Elena tightly, conjured a whip, and whipped her severely to vent his anger, but he didn’t dare to strike a lethal blow to kill her. He also wasn’t sure. What if his personal grudge ruined Lord Ace’s great plan? He definitely wouldn’t be able to bear the consequences.

Elena’s words were half true and half false. She was indeed one of the Thirteen Progenitors and also had an important task. But this task was competitive. As soon as she landed, the panel prompted that this planet had the potential to become the origin planet of the Vampire Clan. The Thirteen Progenitors would compete on this planet, and ultimately only one person could become the Vampire King.

But this didn’t mean they could rule this planet. After their internal competition, they also needed to defeat other forces and establish the ruling power of the Vampire Clan on the planet before they could transform this planet into the Star of Vampire Origin.

This was also Ace’s design. The seven habitable planets, apart from Augustus’s nation, the rest could develop extraordinary civilization types of various forms. Every planet was an extraordinary civilization world.

And wizards were the ultimate rulers of various mysterious worlds. Such a colorful world was the paradise of wizards, the true Wizard World!

Bruce frowned for a long time. Looking at the tied-up Elena, he felt like he had caught a hot potato. He was unwilling to let her go, afraid of releasing a tiger back to the mountain; but if he didn’t let her go, he was afraid of delaying Ace’s plan. Deadlocked there for a time, he had no choice but to whip Elena desperately.

His whip had the scorching heat of fire attached to it. As a staunch supporter of the combustion theory of the Elemental School, Bruce had a thorough understanding of oxidation reactions. The whipping made Elena incomparably painful but didn’t cause deep injuries.

Elena screamed in pain, unable to help swearing loudly, but it was to no avail. Finally, she begged softly, but Bruce ignored it, only focusing on whipping.

In fact, Bruce had no choice. If he had any idea—whether it was directly burning her to ashes with a fireball, or having a good talk to resolve the enmity with a smile—either would be better than this.

Elena’s psychology was much more complex. She felt Bruce suspected her words were false, or maybe he was just a psychopath. In short, the two were deadlocked like this until midnight. Elena was unconsciously clicking the panel when she suddenly seemed to wake up and said:

“Stop hitting me, really stop hitting me. I can share the task with you. We can form an alliance under the witness of the Dream God, and we can unify this planet together according to the Main Task!”

Bruce stopped in doubt, then raised the leather whip and whipped fiercely again, saying constantly: “I am a wizard, how can I do a Vampire task? Could it be you want to turn me into a filthy Vampire?”

Elena felt scorching hot all over. There seemed to be a strange feeling; her bloodline was restless. She forcefully endured the discomfort and said loudly: “It’s true. Open the panel permissions, and you’ll understand once I share the task with you.”

Bruce, half-believing and half-doubting, whipped a few more times before opening the panel permissions as Elena taught. Sure enough, a dialog box popped up before his eyes.

[Cooperative Main Task: This planet is the divinely ordained planet for the rise of the Blood Origin. Joining the Vampire faction on this planet will reward you with 100% of the Fate Points. Becoming a hostile faction to the Vampires will reward you with 50% of the Fate Points. Will you follow the divinely ordained tide of the times, or be a trendsetter against the wind? Please choose.]

Bruce looked at the reward division. Lord Ace was just short of pointing the thirteen Star Noble Phantasms at the wizards of this planet to make them choose. How else could they choose? If they really went against it, who knows what would happen.

It’s just that choosing this alone didn’t come with a vow.

He looked at Elena suspiciously, raised the leather whip high, and whipped down fiercely. Elena was looking at him with expectation. Seeing the other party whipping again, she screamed in pain, her face flushed.

“Don’t hit me anymore, don’t hit me…”

Elena’s voice was as soft as a mosquito, actually somewhat charming. Anyone who saw her wouldn’t have the heart to hit her again.

But Bruce continued whipping, his heart as hard as iron, shouting: “You only have a cooperative task here. How can you guarantee you won’t stab me in the back? You, a woman, are the best at exploiting people’s kindness. When I was just born in ‘Fantasia,’ I was deceived by you and stabbed to death with a dagger.”

Elena also looked full of regret. If she had known the truth of the “Fantasia” world earlier, how could she have fought with these wizards descending from the real world? Fawning over them wouldn’t have been fast enough.

Even now, she knew that the Dream God Himself was the strongest and most powerful wizard, and she didn’t want to form an enmity with Bruce even more. Her voice like a gossamer, she said: “Our panel task has a Blood Oath, witnessed by the Dream God. As long as you join the Vampire faction, we can conclude the contract.”

Bruce thought for a while. He felt that since he definitely had to participate in the Main Task on this planet, and there were thirteen Vampire Progenitors anyway, if it really didn’t work out, he could find someone else to cooperate with. At that time, this woman’s head would be a gift.

He accepted the task. A faint red light floated all over his body, seemingly marked by something, yet seemingly not.

“Why does it feel a bit like being in ‘Fantasia’? Could there be the omnipresent Dream God’s supervision and response here too?”

Bruce felt a bit familiar. He knew the Dream God in ‘Fantasia’ was actually an extremely powerful dream computer, a miraculous product constructed based on the basic concepts of computers.

Thinking about it, he felt it was impossible. This was a real world. Could the Dream Core still replace the Great Source?

Elena bit the tip of her tongue forcefully, offering a drop of blood, and simultaneously activated the Blood Oath on the panel. A dialog box also popped up on Bruce’s side. He read it carefully for a long time. After confirming there was no problem, he also pierced his finger and offered a drop of blood. The two drops of blood merged.

Instantly, dreamlike splendor flourished, and a mechanical synthesized voice sounded: [I witness your oath. If you betray the oath, I will harvest your lives.]

Blue said in great shock: “Is this the Dream God?”

Elena rolled her eyes at him and said: “Why haven’t you released me yet? This is a Blood Oath witnessed by the Dream God!”

Apart from the planet controlled by Augustus and Yamila, various Main Tasks also sprouted on the other six planets. Warren and Betty obtained the Main Task of Mechanical Pioneers. Their goal was to establish a steampunk-style mechanical magic civilization dominated by difference engines.

The Lich King Witte’s task was to establish an undead civilization. The planet he was born on was full of dry bones and specters from the beginning. But most undead had no intelligence. To establish an undead civilization required a considerable amount of high-level undead population.

The Abyssal Knight Arno and the Knight of Justice Xavier were assigned to the same planet. No one expected that Xavier, who fought with Arno in the almshouse back then, instead became a firm Knight of Virtue, while the kind and brave Arno became a cold Abomination.

Their goals were both to establish a planet of knight civilization, just seeing whether it would be dominated by virtue or sin.

Besides these four characteristic planets, the other three planets were all wizard-dominated planets. Their Main Task was competition. All wizards could play freely here. Everything here was blank, mostly requiring them to fill in the colors themselves.

The planet ruled by Augustus was named Planet Bernard. This was the place where the Magic Net was most densely distributed. All the faith of the people was transmitted through the Magic Net, processed by the “Dream God,” and automatically fed back to the people.

Ace designed two brand new professions here. Relying on the faith in the God of Dreams and Magic Net, the supernatural profession Priest, belonging to the church, was born. Relying on the Magic Net recording massive spell models, mana channels, and the characteristic of lowering the difficulty of mana mastery, the brand new supernatural profession Mage was created.

Both of these professions were spellcaster professions, but unlike wizards—wizards could use the Magic Net or not use it—Priests and Mages must use the Magic Net.

Priests relied on devout prayer to obtain divine grace feedback. While their spiritual power improved, they also Petitioner-ized. Their endpoint should be Saints, their souls thoroughly sanctified, becoming huge faith generators for the god. At the same time, possessing extremely strong Divine Power, they could cast powerful divine spells with the help of the Magic Net.

The beginning of Mages was similar to wizards; both required meditation. But unlike wizards, even if they couldn’t achieve Spirit Overclocking, they could still meditate to improve their spiritual power. All Mages must be pan-believers of the God of Dreams and Magic Net. Before meditating, they must pray simply; otherwise, they couldn’t open the interface of the Magic Net.

In fact, for Mages, the Magic Net lowered the threshold of meditation, forcibly giving everyone the opportunity to meditate. They could use the Magic Net to improve spiritual power, and even use the Magic Net to cast spells similar to wizards.

However, it was different from wizards after all. Wizards’ power was rooted in themselves; Mages’ power was rooted in the Magic Net.

Wizards could use their own inherent mana to mobilize natural mana. When a wizard’s power improved to a certain level and opened the mental imagery world, they could completely rely solely on inherent mana. Wizards’ spell models were all in their own Soul Sanctuary or mental imagery world. All mighty power belonged to oneself, having infinite potential and possibilities.

Mages were different. Mages only cultivated spiritual power. They must meditate through the Magic Net to improve their own spiritual power. During meditation, there was a certain probability of obtaining certain spells. If they wanted to obtain better and more suitable spells, they had to obtain them through the Magic Net sacrifice ritual.

Mages’ spell models were not rooted in themselves because, in fact, the vast majority of them didn’t have the talent to become wizards. Even using auxiliary drugs or rituals, they couldn’t achieve Spirit Overclocking.

They could only reach a pseudo-overclocking state with the help of the Magic Net. This state looked no different from Spirit Overclocking, but without the Magic Net, they couldn’t take a single step.

Therefore, Mages had no way to directly store their own spells. Their daily spellcasting was limited by spell slots. This was an institutional arrangement made by the Magic Net to balance things out.

In layman’s terms, the stronger the spiritual power, the more spell slots; that is, strong spiritual power meant more resources could be used in the Magic Net.

Mages must duplicate the spells they were going to cast that day after the end of each standard Ace day, usually at midnight, and store them in the spell slots allocated to them by the Magic Net.

After casting the spell, the spell would be forgotten. This phenomenon was unavoidable because the moment spiritual power was extracted, the casting of the corresponding spell relied on the corresponding magic memory. If there was no spell stored by magic memory, this spell would be incomplete.

Therefore, Mages had two major limitations: Spellcasting Forgetting and Spell Slot Pre-setting.

They had to rely on another tool, which was the spellbook. The ‘grimore’, once eliminated by wizards, had now become the most important tool for Mages. Its significance was even equivalent to the spells themselves.

Everyone aspiring to become a spellcaster—specifically, aspiring to become a Mage—must use a spellbookto record all the spells and knowledge they collected. Every time they forgot a specific spell, they could rely on the spellbook to quickly recover the memory and construct the spell.

Ace didn’t have much time to plan the two supernatural professions. He only constructed the basic ideas. The rest was left to the humans on Planet Bernard and the Dream Core to slowly naturally evolve at an accelerated rate.

Outside the world, Ace looked at the changes inside the world and nodded in satisfaction.

“Colorful and diverse, multiple deductions is the best way out. Especially Mages; they seem to have large limitations, but they are cheap spellcaster combat units that can be mass-produced. As long as it is a place where the Magic Net spreads, there will be Mages!”

As Ace’s words fell, the dream mist of “Fantasia” and the Magic Net extended simultaneously, actually gradually covering the entire world cluster of one large and three small worlds completely, forming a dense web-like sphere.

As long as the Bernard World was given time to develop, even if there was an alien invasion in the future, as long as it was within the range of the Magic Net, Mages and Priests would have immense combat power, thereby giving the entire Bernard World Cluster extremely strong combat power.

Ace placed the core of the Magic Net into his own Dream Realm. His body also flashed and disappeared, entering the Dream Realm. Here was a stretch of dream Source Power, exactly a blank paper good for painting.
