Chapter 588: Realization

Ace pondered. Just as He was about to speak, the God of Craftsmen, Bakal, spoke first: “Do you take us for three-year-olds? First return the Fruits of Immortality, then swear a divine vow. Our Main God might then consider letting you off.”

Ace took the opportunity to increase the gravity. The three deities were being torn apart, on the verge of splitting open. In this state, perhaps their divine souls would remain, but their divine bodies would absolutely cease to exist. If the gravity increased further, forming a phenomenon similar to a black hole, He feared even their divine souls would no longer exist.

Although they had Fruits of Immortality and could revive from the long river of history in the distant future, there were simply too many variables. In the nearly one hundred thousand years of the Kaya World, the deities who had revived after a long slumber could be counted on two hands. More were still slumbering or sealed even now.

They threw out the God of Craftsmen’s Fruit of Immortality and then said, “The fruit has been given. We hope Your Holiness keeps Your promise, swears the vow with us, and lets us leave.”

After the God of Craftsmen caught the Fruit of Immortality and confirmed it, Ace swore a vow with the three deities, and then let Them go.

As the God of Craftsmen had said, now was not the time for disputes. Even if disputes arose, one should not be the first.

“The so-called deities are so mysterious, majestic, and powerful when unapproachable, but when my strength can crush Them, They too will feel fear.”

Ace shook His head, thinking to Himself that whether something is so-called mysterious or not is entirely relative.

Seeing Ace recall the projection of nearly ten thousand stars, the observing deities also withdrew their divine senses one after another, firmly remembering Ace’s image. The Salia Alliance and the God of Dreams, Ace, were not to be easily provoked.

Some deities were even inspired and began to form alliances of equality and mutual assistance with deities they were on good terms with, or deities in the same region.

Not going into detail about that, Ace and the God of Craftsmen, Bakal, returned to Salia. Here, not far from the City-State of Thoth, layers of peaks overlapped, and snow covered the mountain ranges all year round, giving it a unique charm.

The two deities appeared one after the other, standing in mid-air, facing the wind and snow. Bakal was very tactful, directly handing His Fruit of Immortality to Ace.

“Respected Your Holiness the Main God, I request that You help me safeguard my Fruit of Immortality.”

He knew this was both a pledge of allegiance and a hostage—more reliable than any hostage. After all, this was the foundation of a deity’s immortality.

Ace received it solemnly and said to Bakal, “I will safeguard it properly and securely, and return it after our vow ends. As long as you do not betray Me, I will not betray you.”

The God of Craftsmen’s face was resolute, hiding the intense reluctance in His heart. After exchanging a few pleasantries with Ace, He returned to His own city-state first.

In the Dream Realm, the center of the galactic universe, Ace appeared near the galactic center.

Here, it was still dazzlingly brilliant; the resplendent galactic center was blinding. Holding the God of Craftsmen’s Fruit of Immortality, Ace called forth a Law of Fate and slowly embedded the craftsman’s fruit into it.

That Law of Fate mutated, actually transforming into a tall, dilapidated stone stele. The stone stele was covered in potholes, and one of the potholes was filled—exactly by the God of Craftsmen’s Fruit of Immortality.

The three thousand pseudo-complete laws of the Dream Realm suddenly vibrated. The three thousand Dream Gods also returned following the vibration. One Dream God carrying a law “crashed” into the God of Craftsmen’s Fruit of Immortality.

Ace looked closely. The law that Dream God carried was exactly the Law of the Craftsman.

“So that’s how it is. Is this the upgraded version of the Tablet of Fate? The Stele of Fate? If the Fruits of Immortality of all the Kaya gods could be embedded into it, I’m afraid this would be the true stele capable of determining the fate of the gods.”

Ace shook His head. Such a thought was too illusory. It was fundamentally impossible for Him to seize the Fruits of Immortality of all the gods. Unless He could become the Controller of the Kaya World, it was absolutely impossible.

A few days later, the Salia Gods returned one after another. Besides the God of Craftsmen, the God of Combat also encountered some trouble. When Ace arrived, the opposing deity’s face immediately changed. Yelling something about “Sovereign of Dreams,” “Controller of the Stars,” and “Monster,” He threw the Fruit of Immortality and ran away.

The speed was so fast that Ace didn’t even have time to pursue.

The God of Combat complimented: “Your Holiness the Main God’s prestige awes thousands of miles. Even Outer Gods flee in panic.”

Ace ignored this and extended His hand.

“Let’s not talk about that. Give Me the fruit.”

Looking as if He were constipated, the God of Combat forced a smile and handed the Fruit of Immortality to Ace.

After gathering the Fruits of Immortality of all the gods, Ace discussed with the gods and Mythical Wizards and decided to dispatch one Mythical Wizard and one True God to permanently station in the Salia Reflection World, and to operate the Reflection World to prevent it from being occupied by the elves again.

The gods would naturally rotate duties. As for the Mythical Wizards, the Lich Witte said to Ace: “Lord Ace, I am willing to go and operate it, to lay the early foundations. The Reflection World is most suitable for undead. I am willing to cultivate intelligent undead, and request the dispatch of the majority of wizards proficient in Necromancy to go there.”

Ace had no objections. Unlike the Salia Gods, all the wizards were personally cultivated by Ace. Their relationship was much closer, and the trust was much higher. Even if a wizard achieved immortality, Ace would not need their Fruit of Immortality as a hostage.

“But Lord Ace, our experiment has reached a critical juncture. Please wait a few days; there will be a surprise for You then.”

Hearing Witte’s words, Ace became interested.

When He first saw Ronamus riding a Pegasus, He thought about whether He could dissect it. Later, He even felt that even deities could be dissected and researched. But when He Himself became a deity, concurrently possessing the dual characteristics of a deity and a Legendary Immortal Wizard, Ace naturally understood deities very well, and dissection was fundamentally unnecessary.

That the three Mythical Wizards wanted to research an elf Demigod, and had achieved results after dissection experiments, made Ace very delighted.

“What surprise? Tell Me.”

Betty smiled and said: “The results haven’t been confirmed yet, but I can tell You the direction. Elves convert the power of death into the power of life. Perhaps we can reverse this process and reversely purify the Reflection World!”

A week later, on the top floor of the Central High Tower in the floating city, Betty, Bayen, and a youth with delicate and pretty features were waiting there.

Space twisted, and Ace’s True God projection descended.

“How are the results? Where did our Excellency Witte go?”

Seeing one person missing, and a youth added instead, Ace asked subconsciously.

That delicate and pretty youth cleared his throat and said: “Lord Ace, I am the Lich Witte.”

Ace’s eyes flickered with the Law of Comprehension. He looked for a moment before seeing through Witte’s situation, and couldn’t help clapping and praising: “You said turning life into death, I didn’t expect you’d first give Me a surprise in turning death into life. Exactly the same mental frequency, but already converted into a living person. Amazing.”

Witte replied: “Lord Ace, this spell cannot last. I call converting into the state of a living person the Seventh Ring spell ‘Transformation of the Living.’ As time goes by, the mana consumed by this spell increases geometrically, ultimately becoming unbearable. Every time the transformation ends, there must be a cooldown period equal to the time spent as a living person.

“With my mana level, I can transform into a living person for a maximum of three months.

“This spell is expected to be degraded into a series of spells. Liches of other levels can also undergo the Transformation of the Living, it’s just that the transformation will be flawed, the duration shorter, and the cooldown period longer.”

Ace said: “That is also a remarkable breakthrough. Then how about the other achievement?”

This was what Ace cared about the most. The “Transformation of the Living” spell series was only big news for Liches. But besides the Lich Witte, there weren’t even dozens of Liches among all the High Tower Wizards. Although the future potential was great, it would take at least thousands of years for Liches to form a sizable scale.

Witte said respectfully: “There is no problem with the experiment. For the specifics, we still need to move to the Reflection World and practically test it on an emerald secret realm.”

“Then what are we waiting for?”

With a wave of Ace’s hand, space twisted, and the four appeared together in the corresponding Salia region of the Reflection World.

The wizards proficient in Necromancy had already built a City of the Dead here. Piles of white bones were converted by magic into solid stone, serving as the city walls and foundation of this city. The entire city looked very spacious, possessing the beauty of geometry, which was the standard aesthetic of wizards.

In the center, two high towers stood opposite each other: one belonged to the rotating garrison True God, and the other belonged to the Mythical Wizard.

The True God currently garrisoned here was the patron god of the City-State of Medimus, the Goddess of Elegance, Medea.

This high tower had a total of seven floors. Medea had arrived first and resided on the first floor. She had transformed the space of this floor into a microcosm of the Domain of Elegance, looking gorgeous and elegant.

The arrival of Ace and the others caught Her attention. She walked out, bowed slightly to Ace, and nodded to the three, including Witte.

“Your Holiness the Main God has arrived. Please come rest for a moment at my residence.”

Ace was also somewhat curious about how She had decorated the folded space of the high tower. He wasn’t in a hurry anyway, so He brought the three Mythical Wizards to visit Medea’s temporary palace together.

Walking through the spatial door, Ace and the wizards immediately felt as if they had entered another world.

The blood moon and green moon were no longer hanging high, nor was the highly corrosive wind of death blowing. Here was a gorgeous royal court, where petitioners resided, acting as attendants.

Lush royal gardens and palace architecture in the style of Medimus made Ace recall the scene when He was appreciated by Athena as a youth and entered the royal palace for the first time.

The royal palace in His memory was also this gorgeous and elegant. Just the Great Hero Arnold made the Ace of that time tremble all over. But now, if He saw Arnold, it would probably be Arnold’s turn to tremble all over.

Thinking of this, a trace of a smile appeared at the corners of Ace’s mouth. He still somewhat missed the old days.

Medea didn’t know why Ace was smiling, but a Main God smiling was always a good thing.

She led the gods into the garden. The petitioners had already prepared exquisite food, tables, and chairs. Ace sat in the main seat, Medea in the secondary seat, and the three Mythical Wizards in the lowest seats.

Medea said elegantly: “It is a bit crude here. The Godfall Storm destroyed my sub-plane. I only had time to bring away a small portion of the petitioners; the rest were all lost. To use this to entertain guests is truly a slight.”

Ace said gently: “You are too modest. When the storm arrived, many deities themselves suffered severe injuries. Not only did you retreat completely unscathed, but you also rescued quite a few petitioners. Your strength is already extraordinary.”

Medea chuckled charmingly: “In front of other deities, I could still boast a little, but in front of Your Holiness the Main God, I truly amount to nothing. You only became a god not long ago, yet not only were You a law incarnation the moment You became a god, but You also retreated completely unscathed in the storm, and even became a Main God shortly after.

“Comparing myself to the Main God is simply the difference between clouds and mud.”

Ace laughed heartily and said: “I have my luck. When the sudden impact and the storm arrived that day, I happened to be roaming the Divine Secret Realm. Witnessing it with my own eyes, the many profound mysteries within gave me a sudden enlightenment. Looking back, I had already achieved Main God. Actually, I was also quite confused myself.”

Medea offered a few more compliments, and for a time, the hosts and guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was also some sincerity in what She said. Even if They had witnessed it in the Divine Secret Realm, They probably couldn’t have achieved such great accomplishments as Ace.

Betty and the others were very envious. The so-called Divine Secret Realm—they had heard Ace talk about it and that He could take them to experience it. Who knew that suddenly the two worlds would collide, and under the Godfall Storm, no god was spared. They couldn’t even open high-dimensional rifts, let alone go to the Four-Dimensional Secret Realm.

Medea clapped her hands, Her posture elegant and proper: “I have some petitioners who know some simple songs and dances to earn a smile from everyone. Please do not disdain them.”

Ace waved His hand. He truly hadn’t participated in many banquets held by deities, so He just followed the local customs: “Your Holiness Medea is too modest.”

The song and dance quickly began, possessing a unique charm. The four wizards—Ace included—spent all day either researching or dissecting. Having this sudden song and dance performance actually felt quite interesting and had a different flavor.

The performance soon reached the end. A heroic and elegant man led a group of warriors onto the stage, performing an impassioned and stirring sword-and-shield dance.

Ace’s pupils contracted slightly. If He remembered correctly, this man should be Ronamus’s father, Aleias!

“That man who once lifted a forty-meter Frost Greatsword is now performing for Me. It truly feels a bit like reality and illusion are disordered.”

Thinking this, Ace truly felt that He was completely different from when He first transmigrated. When He first transmigrated, He entered Ronamus’s Noble Phantasm in the Great Municipal Square of Medimus and witnessed the deeds of Aleias, this tragic last King of the Rona City-State. At that time, Ace was still calmly pondering the supernatural possibilities displayed within.

He was shocked by the various inconceivable powers.

But now, Ace already stood at the supreme pinnacle, far stronger than so-called Golden Heroes. The person He once envied could now only perform songs and dances for Him. For a moment, Ace felt His interest wane, losing the drive to watch the performance.

He said softly to Medea: “Let’s stop here. The three of Them and I still have an experiment. If Your Holiness Medea is willing, You can observe together.”

Hearing this, Medea clapped her hands, and Aleias led the people to withdraw.

“To be invited by Your Holiness the Main God is an endless gratitude. Medea is naturally willing to observe.”

Just like that, they left Medea’s temporary palace and arrived at the edge of the Salia region in the Reflection World, looking far off at an emerald secret realm opposite them.

“This is the closest emerald secret realm. According to my observation, there should be no Demigod there.”

Medea was still as elegant as ever, gently covering the corner of Her lips with Her hand as She spoke.

Ace signaled the delicate and pretty youth, Witte, with His eyes. Witte immediately understood and flew over. Layered, dazzling, and complex rune structures emerged around Him. He had already floated to the center above the emerald secret realm, looking down at it.
