Chapter 637: Ascending to the Upper Astral Plane

In the blink of an eye, 300 years had passed. The Wizard Multiverse had experienced a unique era known as the Era of Great Conquest. Hundreds of Level 3 worlds had been breached, and over a thousand Sovereigns and 300,000 True Gods had been added to the Bloody Stele of Fate.

The immortal slaves of the Wizard World had swelled to an extreme degree. The entire world had also completed its digestion of the Mansus, and the microscopic interference phenomena finally vanished.

And today was the day the entire Wizard Multiverse would ascend. The world’s Great Source boiled, and power surged. This was an extremely massive Level 3 world, containing 300 billion stars. It was incredibly vast; even when compared to the Kaya World, it wasn’t necessarily lacking in expanse.

The foundational theories of the Wizard Multiverse hadn’t seen any substantial development. Although in the later stages, wizards confirmed that microscopic research could be conducted in other worlds, those worlds were ultimately too far from the Wizard World, and their conditions were fragile. Most experiments ended in failure.

But this did not include the genius wizard Alexander. Alexander was now a veteran Mythical Wizard. He had conducted in-depth research in an ordinary Level 3 world neighboring the Wizard Multiverse.

His research on radioactive elements was of paramount importance. All radioactive elements share a characteristic: decay.

The so-called decay is when an element gradually transforms into multiple other elements, while its mass decreases and its energy level lowers.

Alexander achieved tremendous success in this field. He was the first to propose the concept of half-life. During the decay of different elements, new particles were generated. Alexander divided them into positively charged positive particles and negatively charged negative particles.

Both were high-speed particles with extremely strong penetrating power.

Alexander immediately thought of the atom. He designed an experiment using highly penetrating positive particles to bombard a piece of gold foil, while placing a telescope that could rotate freely along an orbit on a circular disk to observe the positive particles after bombardment.

From this, Alexander confirmed that the internal structure of the atom is a system consisting of an atomic nucleus and electrons.

He wrote at the end of his paper: “Most particles can pass through the gold foil. Only a very few particles scatter directly in the center of the atom. This indicates that the interior of the atom is largely empty, with an atomic nucleus right in the center. Some charged particles change direction; this is because the positive particles carry a positive charge, and the atomic nucleus in the center also carries a positive charge. Like charges repel each other. An extremely small number of particles hit the atomic nucleus and bounce back.

“We have reason to believe that the atom is composed of an atomic nucleus and extranuclear electrons. The atomic nucleus carries a positive charge, and the amount of its charge is exactly equal to the total charge of all extranuclear electrons. The Astral Plane does not play favorites; this is much like a stellar system.”

Alexander’s paper caused a massive wave throughout the Wizard World. The discovery and confirmation of the atomic nucleus and extranuclear electrons once again verified the Great Source feedback Ace had obtained long ago.

And this, in turn, propelled the research of the Legendary Immortal Wizard Bruce. He had become the greatest advocate for quantum theory. After bold hypotheses and meticulous mathematical derivation, the chubby Bruce improved upon the atomic nucleus model proposed by Alexander.

Bruce hypothesized that every electron is in a certain stationary orbit, and its kinetic energy, like Alexander’s energy quantum, is quantized. In other words, the electron’s orbit is not random; it must meet certain conditions.

Bruce believed that electrons are like trains on tracks, having specific paths.

But electrons aren’t entirely like trains; they can also “visit” each other. Bruce believed that the “jump” of electrons between different orbits is related to the energy they absorb or radiate.

When the absorbed energy reaches a certain critical value, it begins to jump, moving from the ground state to other levels.

Similarly, when an electron jumps from a higher level to a lower level, it releases light quanta, which happens to perfectly match the dark lines in the spectrum.

Bruce’s quantum model theory directly laid the foundation for magical quantum mechanics. Many wizards also raised doubts. The most fatal question was posed by Bayen: If an electron jumps from one stationary state to another, how does the electron know at what mysterious frequency it will orbit the nucleus in the next step?

In other words, when a train jumps from one track to another, how does the train know at what speed it should move on the new track?

Did it notify the railway command center in advance?

Meaning, are electrons conscious?

Regardless, Bruce’s quantum model theory was the most brilliant and stunning spectacle in the last 300 years.

Bruce advanced to a Tenth Ring Wizard shortly after and created the unique Tenth Ring spell “Quantum Jump,” possessing a phantom-like jumping ability that was almost impossible to block.

Against the backdrop of this theoretical development, the Wizard Multiverse finally began its dimensional ascension.

The entire world was like a fat-headed fish climbing onto the shore, already beginning to poke its head into the Level 4 Astral Plane layer.

Observing the changes from within the world, Bruce murmured, “This is somewhat similar to the quantum jump of an electron. Could it be that on the level of four-dimensional space-time, our world is like an electrical particle?”

While his thoughts were running wild, the world had already jumped. A sea of super-dimensional mana was specifically stimulated. The volume of the Wizard Multiverse was too large, but fortunately, there were enough enslaved gods. The entire world was shrouded in super-dimensional mana, jumping amidst the rhythmic pulsations.

Under the tempering of the Astral Plane boundary divide, the Wizard Multiverse gradually developed the core of a Level 4 world, and the room for the entire world’s ascent was opened.

Ace bathed in the Great Source almost immediately. The Law of Dreams continuously absorbed the remnants of the Mansus within the Great Source, quickly advancing to a Supreme Law.

This was a natural culmination. The Wizard Multiverse itself had fused with the Great Source of the Mansus, and the Mansus was, in fact, a dream husk.

Ace absorbed the law fragments within it, quickly completing his own law, and all three thousand Dream Gods returned to their positions. Ace comprehended the reality of dreams and constructed multiple layers of dreamscapes.

The bottom layer was Ace’s True Dream. A Stele of True Name Fate suppressed its destiny, while 99 Sovereigns and 3,000 Dream Gods slumbered here.

The second layer was the Galactic Great World and 3,000 Dream Worlds, where great worlds and middle worlds overlapped.

The third layer of dreams contained many Demi-gods, constituting worlds as numerous as grains of sand in the Ganges, too many to count.

Ace’s sub-plane had already transformed into a super-stable four-dimensional particle. His Supreme Law of Dreams integrated into it, acting like an anchor, attracting other particles, and quickly forming an ion cluster.

And these constituent particles were actually the sub-planes of the Level 5 existences listed on the Stele of True Name Fate.

Ace had entered four-dimensional space-time. His state began to mutate, transforming from a three-dimensional creature into true four-dimensionality—becoming a purely four-dimensional existence, or rather, a True Four-Dimensional Consciousness Entity.

It wasn’t a so-called “four-dimensional creature”—or perhaps biology as a concept doesn’t exist in the fourth dimension. Ace’s material foundation was his four-dimensional particle cluster, and his consciousness had permanently established itself in four-dimensional space-time.

The four-dimensional particle cluster was the vessel for Ace’s four-dimensional consciousness. This particle cluster was located at the edge of the Wizard Multiverse, breathing in and out the swirling mist of space-time, an extraordinary state.

Ace did not stop. After using the Law of Dreams as a foundation to construct the framework for his quasi-plane, he pressed on, elevating the Law of the Magic Net to the extreme. The Path of Laws was somewhat easier than the Path of Universal Constants, because most Laws are hidden within the world.

The invisible Magic Net of the Wizard Multiverse was an incredibly powerful energy channel and a means of energy extraction, utilization, and conversion. What was even more invaluable was that the invisible Magic Net could convert high-dimensional mana, greatly increasing the utilization rate of high-dimensional rifts.

The sole core of Ace’s Magic Net, right in the center of the Great Source, was already a part of the entire Wizard Multiverse.

As Ace rippled through four-dimensional space-time, grasping free-floating Magic Net runes, the Supreme Law of the Magic Net gradually formed. As the Great Source boiled, the Magic Net core in the world’s rule layer emitted a milky-white light, gradually turning multicolored and even more elusive.

“The core of the invisible Magic Net is still best placed deep within the world’s Great Source. As for my quasi-plane, a secondary Magic Net core will suffice.”

Ace appeared on the three-dimensional level and embedded a multicolored secondary Magic Net core, which looked like a ball of yarn, into the rule layer of his quasi-plane.

The Ace that appeared now was no longer purely Ace, but like a shadow in the three-dimensional world—merely a projection of the fourth dimension into the third, or perhaps a certain part of the boundary between the fourth and third dimensions.

It could be said that the so-called Level 6 existence had completely achieved dimensional ascension, becoming fundamentally different from the third dimension.

In other words, no one could destroy a Level 6 existence on the three-dimensional level. This is the reason why Level 6 is said to have “myriad incarnations.” The four-dimensional true body is indestructible, and the three-dimensional projections are infinite.

After settling the Law of the Magic Net, Ace continued to invest his energy, preparing to collect space-time curvature data of the Level 4 Astral Plane layer in four-dimensional space-time and gather Level 6 curvature runes.

He had already gathered a massive amount of Level 6 runes from the Level 3 Astral Plane layer, but Ace was not satisfied. He needed more to construct a truly great Eleventh Ring spell model. Ace’s spell model was still based on macroscopic four-dimensional space-time. As for the nascent quantum mechanics, Ace had not participated in it.

He didn’t participate not because he didn’t understand, but because he didn’t fully understand, and this was an independent, self-generating link of the Wizard Civilization.

Magical quantum mechanics was a fruit naturally nurtured entirely by the Wizard Civilization—and the most beautiful and delicious one at that.

Ace prepared to quietly admire it, but had no intention of participating excessively.

Within the Galactic Great World of Ace’s dream quasi-plane, nearly a billion stars had already been born. The super-dimensional mana contained within them was already approaching one percent of the Wizard Multiverse.

And this was just the beginning. Once Ace’s Eleventh Ring spell model was in place, there would be an explosive surge.

A complete quasi-plane was almost equivalent to a small Prime Material Plane; theoretically, it was equal to a Level 3 world. In the Level 4 Astral Plane layer, it was something only the absolute pinnacle existences could possess.

Worlds seemed to be born and destroyed within Ace’s eyes. His figure appeared in the Magic Sanctuary. He suddenly looked up at an oil painting hanging on the wall.

It depicted a heroic young girl wearing a crystal laurel crown, with sky-blue long hair and ruby-like eyes. She wore bright silver skirt armor, looking both charmingly naive and valiant.

Suddenly, the scroll burst with brilliant colors. The girl’s ruby eyes, shining like stars, actually became lively, and she stepped out of the painting. With a graceful figure and elegant demeanor, the girl emerged from the painting and fell straight down. Ace moved his body, catching the falling girl in his arms.

“Athena?”

The ahoge on top of Ace’s head bobbed. The Law of the God of Universal Comprehension activated, observing the girl’s state.

This oil painting was a gift given by Athena when she sent Ace away. Its essence was a bizarre Fruit of Immortality containing the Law of Hope. Athena herself was too deeply entangled with the world’s Great Source to extract herself.

Therefore, she severed and folded that segment of her past from her youth and gifted it to Ace. This fruit had been activated hundreds of years ago, but it gestated extremely slowly. Even the Legendary Immortal Wizard Laval, whose head had exploded around the same time, had been resurrected for over a hundred years, yet the girl still hadn’t revived.

Today, as the entire Wizard Multiverse ascended to the Level 4 Astral Plane layer, it seemed some bizarre rhythm was injected. This fruit began to absorb massive amounts of super-dimensional mana and actually matured very quickly.

The girl in the painting looked at Ace, somewhat confused. She wasn’t the Goddess of Hope; she didn’t have a trace of divine bloodline. She looked just like an ordinary mortal.

“Ace? How did you get so big? Where are we?”

The charmingly naive girl looked closely at Ace and gasped softly.

After some communication, Ace concluded that this girl Athena’s memories probably ended just before he left the city-state of Medimus. The girl was Athena, but not the Goddess of Hope.

But she was resurrected from a segment of Athena’s past; no matter what, she was Athena.

“Welcome back, Athena. A lot, a lot has happened since then. I’ll tell you slowly.”

Ace said gently. He set the girl down, mana rippled, and he took the girl away from the Magic Sanctuary, arriving at the planet named after her: Planet Athena.

Walking with Athena through the street corners, watching her click her tongue in wonder, Ace selectively told her some things, as well as the final changes.

Suddenly, a thought stirred in his mind. Those once-ignorant thoughts actually converged into a body and soul, appearing exactly like an ordinary person right here.

Ace vanished, leaving an incarnation behind. Without Athena noticing, the person beside her had swapped.

Actually, it wasn’t a swap. This was a sliver of Ace’s innocent affection for Athena. As a Level 6 existence now, Ace could turn a single thought into a real incarnation.

This was an application akin to instinct. The four-dimensional form of existence was completely different from the third dimension.

Even a wisp of a four-dimensional thought, as long as it had three-dimensional matter, could form a complete and independent three-dimensional incarnation.

Looking from the sky at his incarnation and the young girl Athena chatting happily, a trace of tenderness flashed in Ace’s eyes. This is quite nice.

An incarnation was a form of entrustment. Ace had entrusted his longing and felt as if he had been reborn in many ways.

With his thoughts cleared, Ace formed two more incarnations, appearing beside Yamila and Daina, respectively.

Yamila and their son Augustus ruled a stellar system together. This was a stellar system personally created by Ace, possessing thirteen habitable planets.

Augustus was also one of the few gods who was neither a Dream God nor made into a Divine Flesh Generator.
