Chapter 644: Infinite Choices (Finale - Part 1)

“It’s been over a hundred years. Even though my quasi-plane now has a trillion stars and a full-powered strike can create a black hole sufficient to destroy an ordinary Level 4 world, I still cannot defeat that monster.”

Ace dodged the space-time curvature attack of the super-giant monster. He casually threw a black hole capable of destroying a world, only for the monster to catch it bare-handed.

Countless high-dimensional rifts undulated beside Ace. He continuously disintegrated the higher dimension to obtain energy, but he still could not defeat the opponent.

In his perception, the Wizard Multiverse was getting closer and closer. Ace resonated his mind with the Dream Great Source, instantly discerning the current state of the Wizard Multiverse.

“Four quadrillion stars, thirteen Super-dimensional Wizards, countless Legends, and the theory of antimatter put into practice. What a massive change, like seas turning into mulberry fields. Relying on my status as Controller, coupled with the support of the entire world’s Level 5 and Level 6 existences, perhaps I can mobilize Overlimit Power.

“I cannot flee any longer. I will fight the monster to the death right here.”

Ace weighed his options briefly, accelerated his curvature jump, and fled toward the Wizard Multiverse.

Along the way, the monster with billions of heads had already destroyed nearly three hundred Level 4 worlds. It pursued Ace, but simultaneously continued to destroy various worlds. On the four-dimensional plane, Ace had observed massive numbers of four-dimensional particle clusters disintegrating and being destroyed; the super-giant’s four-dimensional body devoured the cores of these worlds, leaving only dregs behind.

From his experiences over these past hundred-plus years, Ace was certain that if the super-giant were left unchecked, it would likely devour every observable world. Such an outcome would be absolutely terrifying and disastrous, something no intelligent lifeform would wish to see.

Even if it meant taking a risk, Ace decided to try. If left unchecked, the opponent might ascend to a higher layer of the Astral Plane after devouring all the worlds; that result would be absolutely horrifying and tragic.

“Four-dimensional information stream from Lord Ace received. Decrypt immediately!”

In the Central High Tower of the Celestial Realm, the wizards of the Magic Council’s Astral Plane Monitoring Department suddenly shouted.

On the other side, the thirteen Super-dimensional Wizards in the Magic Sanctuary also received the news from the Monitoring Department. Their tense expressions relaxed slightly.

Alexander smiled and said, “The changes we’ve undergone in these past hundred-plus years are greater than the past tens of thousands of years combined. Whether in theory or application, it’s simply an earth-shattering transformation. Although we haven’t surpassed relativity in the macroscopic realm, our progress in the microscopic realm, especially in Particle Magic, is enough to shock Lord Ace.”

Even “The Phoenix” Thales—who had opposed Alexander and the others for over a century, having his head blown off and resurrecting from death several times—smiled and said, “It’s not just the field of magic that will shock Lord Ace. We have now truly achieved peaceful coexistence and joint development with various Level 5 and even Level 6 existences.

“We no longer fight. Among the dozens of Level 4 worlds we’ve encountered, aside from extreme expansionist civilizations, the vast majority have joined the great family of our Wizard Multiverse. The Prime Material Plane of our world now numbers eleven, and we have established a brand-new civilization led by wizards where various civilizations and races develop together. Such an achievement will absolutely surprise Lord Ace.”

Seeing Thales’s slightly smug smile, the crowd offered good-natured smiles as well. This was the governing philosophy Thales had always practiced; one could even call it his political ideal.

Initially, no one was willing to give up the enslavement of gods, because extorting the gods had indeed made the productivity of the entire Wizard World immensely abundant—one could even say absurdly abundant.

Wizards no longer needed to focus their attention on energy extraction and computation. Relying on ample energy and boundless computing power, the Wizard Civilization developed incredibly rapidly.

However, Thales eventually persuaded everyone. He pointed out a massive danger in this approach.

Aside from the moral hazards and series of social ethos issues that people didn’t care about, the bigger problem was that wizards would lose dominance over energy and computation. These represented energy and information—arguably the two most important fields outside of magical theory and application.

After multiple simulated space-time experiments, the wizards finally accepted Thales’s viewpoint. Wizards needed to develop better methods of energy development, utilization, and information processing, rather than relying on simple extortion. They gradually liberated the other Level 5 and Level 6 existences, resolutely destroyed staunch opponents, and, holding a sword in one hand and a book in the other, naturalized all the high-level existences of other worlds.

This was a grueling process. Thanks to the massive development of Particle Magic and the in-depth exploration of four-dimensional space-time, the wizards established more efficient energy development and utilization methods. Furthermore, as the energy law of the Wizard Multiverse, the Magic Net continuously updated itself, miraculously adapting and undergoing miraculous changes.

Alexander’s close friend, Goldolo, launched the Dream Computer Project, which was intimately connected to the true dreamscape. Massive numbers of Dream Computers replaced the Spirit Computers. Ace’s two great laws and the wizards’ energy and information computation achieved leapfrog development.

This development did not rely on Ace’s laws; it just happened to adapt perfectly to them.

Bayen also sighed, “When Lord Ace returns, as long as he digests the growth of our world, his law power might reach the limit of Level 6. I imagine he will be very gratified.”

As they were speaking, the four-dimensional information stream sent by Ace was decrypted. Everyone’s relaxed expressions instantly turned incredibly solemn.

“An Overlimit existence?” Betty murmured gravely.

“Regardless, Lord Ace has made his decision. It seems we can only support him,” Bayen said loudly.

“I think we need to prepare a backup plan. After all, Lord Ace doesn’t have absolute confidence either,” Alexander said, his expression serious.

“Following Lord Ace’s proposal, select a batch of ‘seeds.’ Sink a group of Legendary Immortal and Mythical Wizards to the lower layers of the Astral Plane. If we fail, they will be the future! Time is tight; I will organize this immediately,” Thales said loudly, his figure gradually fading away.

Daru looked worried. He whispered, “Just this is not enough. If possible, our Wizard Multiverse must also have an escape plan. Contact Lord Ace; try to buy us ten years. We must fully prepare for war and an escape plan.”

Ace soon received the information stream. He continued to flee. The super-giant had tracked him down several times. If Ace fled too far, the super-giant would simply abandon him. In truth, Ace could completely escape on his own, but he couldn’t leave the Wizard World at ease.

According to the super-giant’s movement trajectory, it would find the Wizard World sooner or later. One could say the Wizard World was the meatiest, most succulent world within a hundred million light-years; the super-giant would not give it up.

“Does it need to devour the entire Level 4 Astral Plane layer to potentially ascend? In a sense, this super-giant is unusually cautious. Just what exactly is in the upper layer? For it to make such a powerhouse fearful… or rather, why was it born at all? Could it truly be a hidden contingency left by that Overgod, Ao?”

Countless thoughts flashed through Ace’s mind, gradually leading to a reasonable deduction. But there were still too many unknowns, such as what exactly was in the upper layer, or why the Astral Plane was layered at all.

Ten years flew by in a flash. Ace proactively led the entire Wizard Multiverse to encounter this incredibly massive super-giant in the desolate and lonely Astral Plane. Its body was covered in dense, innumerable human heads. An ordinary Legendary Immortal Wizard might fall into madness just by staring at it.

The Wizard World had transferred over 10,000 Ninth Ring Legendary Immortal Wizards, 1,000 Tenth Ring Legendary Immortal Wizards, 300,000 Mythical Wizards, and a total population of 100 billion to the lower layers of the Astral Plane. This was a force sufficient to suppress the Level 3 layer, and it was the future of the wizards.

Moreover, the wizards continued their infiltration, permeating the Level 2 and Level 1 layers entirely, truly colonizing all the lower layers of the Astral Plane. This way, even if the Wizard Multiverse truly fell, the Wizard Civilization would still possess resilient vitality and vigor.

With a single wave of the super-giant’s arms—composed of over a billion heads—it unleashed a mighty force comparable to the creation of the cosmos. Ace mobilized the power of the entire Wizard Multiverse. Empowered by countless wizards and stars, his aura climbed continuously. On the four-dimensional level, his particle cluster solidified constantly, instantly transforming into an even tighter aggregate of four-dimensional particles.

Having achieved an essential similarity with the super-giant’s existence, they battled simultaneously on the four-dimensional and three-dimensional levels. The super-giant possessed terrifying combat instincts. It seemed to inherently understand everything; even if it didn’t, upon seeing a spell Ace used, it would quickly imitate it in its own way.

Although some were merely similar in form, this had already put Ace in a dilemma, leaving him at a disadvantage.

“I cannot defeat it. I must obtain more energy to cast that theoretical magic; otherwise, even possessing Overlimit Power, I will still be weaker than the opponent.”

Thoughts swirled in Ace’s mind. The thirteen Super-dimensional Wizards also did everything in their power to attack the terrifying super-giant. However, even antimatter annihilation was insufficient to destroy it; this was a massive disparity in the essence of their existences.

The Eleventh Ring Spell, Super: Antimatter Annihilation, cast jointly by Alexander and the others, only destroyed the opponent’s three-dimensional projection; it could not annihilate it from a higher dimension.

“I need more… more energy to cast an Overlimit dimensional magic. I need your help.”

Ace’s information stream arrived, startling the Super-dimensional Wizards. They frowned. Alexander said with an ugly expression, “Sacrifice the entire world in exchange for saturated energy? Are you joking?!”

“Do we need to sacrifice to this extent? It would be better to initiate the backup plan: macroscopic quantization of the entire world, jumping into the interstitial spaces of the Astral Plane layers!” Daru loudly voiced the plan he had prepared for a long time.

Bayen frowned and ultimately sent a four-dimensional information stream. “Respected Lord Ace, we need more explanation, otherwise we cannot help you sacrifice the entire world to obtain super-saturated energy. Nor can we understand how your dimensional magic can create a better world.”

Receiving the message, Ace smiled bitterly. His three-dimensional projection appeared in the Magic Sanctuary. Looking at the thirteen Super-dimensional Wizards, he nodded.

“Time is urgent. I will briefly explain the principles of this magic and its potential consequences. You all know that the microscopic realm has a distinct characteristic: a definite cause leads to an uncertain effect, correct?”

The crowd nodded, not knowing what Ace was getting at.

Ace’s expression was grave. His four-dimensional state was still battling the super-giant in a bloody, extra-dimensional war. But he said, “What I am talking about is related to both uncertainty and dimensions.

“A point in a geometric sense has no size or dimension; it merely exists in a system as a marker of position, imagined into being. A second point can mark another position. When the two points connect, the line segment is a one-dimensional space—it only has length, no width or height.

“You should all be able to understand the analogous two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces. A point needs to be made here: two dimensions have no height, but we can ‘fold’ or ‘roll’ two-dimensional space to obtain a third dimension, making it three-dimensional.

“The fourth dimension is time, which is the four-dimensional space-time we usually describe. If we view our three dimensions as a single point—that is, compressing length, width, and height into a zero-dimensional point—then the fourth dimension is a one-dimensional line. This is the timeline of our existence.”

Ace looked around at the thirteen Super-dimensional Wizards. They were all existences that had transcended the third dimension and understood this perfectly. They waited to see what Ace would say next.

“This is dimensional nesting. By compressing the previous dimensions into a point, we can better understand higher dimensions from a conceptual level. Right now, we are talking about the fourth dimension. As you all know, lower dimensions cannot perceive the actions occurring in higher dimensions, nor can they interfere with them. But higher dimensions can interfere with lower ones.

“The fourth dimension is a timeline, while the so-called fifth dimension is a time plane. In other words, the flow of time and the direction of the world determined in the fourth dimension have multiple choices in the fifth dimension. Every choice could lead to different results; according to quantum mechanics, even the same choice can lead to different results!

“This is the fifth dimension. Quantum mechanics tells us that ultra-microscopic particles make up the entire world. The observer effect collapses the wave nature of various probability clouds, turning possibilities into a definite point.

“If one can ascend to a fifth-dimensional creature, they will guide every choice toward the best possible result, or collapse it into the result we deem most advantageous among countless outcomes!

“A fifth-dimensional existence will see countless future choices and select (collapse) the best one from among these future bifurcations, which are more complex than the branches of a tree or a cavern system.

“Of course, the fifth dimension has a flaw. No matter how you choose, your current past is the cause of everything. You only have two choices: First, jump to the past to try and find this cause. For example, returning to the moment Kaya intersected with the Giant Tree World to try and stop this cause. But stopping it doesn’t mean success; we still need to pass through time, choose the collapse result from a vast expanse of time again, and ultimately guide it toward a beautiful future.”

Ace finished speaking and looked at the crowd. Bayen listened earnestly and tried saying, “That means the fourth dimension is a timeline. Every moment that occurs in our three dimensions is a point in the fourth dimension. The fifth dimension is a kind of ability to choose.

“The fifth dimension can twist this four-dimensional line, returning to the past to make a choice, and it can also collapse a reasonable future from the quantum probability cloud of the future, correct?

“The combat method of the fifth dimension is actually fighting along the timeline, truly seeking the most advantageous future for oneself along the timeline.”

Ace nodded. Alexander suddenly asked, “If the fifth dimension is already so great, what would the sixth dimension be like?”

Ace smiled and said, “For example, Alexander’s present can be seen as a possibility resulting from a choice at a critical node in the past—like choosing to attend the 4th Spiral Arm University. Regardless of how you chose, you had to walk this path from that point; otherwise, your future could not have reached its current state.

“The sixth dimension means nearly infinite timelines. The fifth-dimensional timeline is like the branches of a tree; you start from a definite, important node and continuously make choices. If you fail, you must return to the important node. But in the sixth dimension, you do not need to return to the important node. You can jump across countless timelines and directly obtain the exact result you want out of all possibilities. You can even switch timelines at any time without having to experience the repeated choices of the fifth dimension.”

Betty looked at Ace, his expression carrying excitement. “Meaning, the fifth dimension means possessing the super-dimensional magic ‘Time Selection,’ while the sixth dimension means possessing the super-dimensional magic ‘Time Jump,’ truly possessing infinite possibilities?”

Ace nodded, his expression serious. “It seems you understand. Obtain super-saturated energy, ascend from four-dimensional space-time to five-dimensional space-time, and become a true fifth-dimensional existence. Collapse a time bifurcation that destroys the super-giant in our current timeline, then jump back to a past time node, find the cause of the Kaya World’s mutation, and change all this from a past choice.

“Even among fifth-dimensional existences, there should be differences in strength. Strength here is no longer the simple power we use in the third and fourth dimensions, but the distance one can jump backward along the timeline and the possible futures one can observe.”

Thales couldn’t help but ask, “Then if it were two fifth-dimensional existences, what would their combat method be like?”

Just then, the world shook violently. Ace said grimly, “My true body can probably hold on for another hour. We must decide immediately. I can only tell you that even sacrificing to obtain energy, I cannot guarantee I will become a fifth-dimensional existence. It is more likely to be similar to our current Level 5 existences—I will only be able to temporarily enter five-dimensional space-time and won’t be able to truly stay there permanently.”

Bayen stroked his white beard, straightened his clothes, and said loudly, “Let us vote to decide. Including Lord Ace, the fourteen Super-dimensional Wizards shall jointly shoulder whether to destroy the world to gain infinite possibilities or jump into the curvature interstitial space! Those who support sacrificing the world to help Lord Ace ascend, please raise your hand.”

On the mirror-smooth floor of the Magic Sanctuary, mana ripples undulated. The Super-dimensional Wizards sat upright in the fourteen seats on the main platform. In the empty seats below, Legendary Immortal Wizards appeared one after another. The holographic images in front of them played the Super-dimensional Wizards’ dialogue on a loop.

According to the current highest law of the Magic Council, Legendary Immortal Wizards had no decision-making power. All hope rested on the fourteen Super-dimensional Wizards on the stage.

Bayen’s hand was already raised high. Ace also raised his hand high, and the other Super-dimensional Wizards followed suit.

Daru looked at the crowd and said resolutely, “I understand Lord Ace’s words, but this method is not very secure. I find it hard to accept. In this vote, I decline.”

Of the fourteen people, nine had already raised their hands, one opposed, and three abstained.

According to the highest law, such a decisive vote required an absolute majority—that is, approval from two-thirds of the Super-dimensional Wizards. As long as one more person—namely Alexander, who had not yet expressed his stance—agreed, the dust would settle.

Everyone’s gaze rested on Alexander. He stood up, his expression carrying inquiry and longing, and asked Ace, “Respected Lord Ace, what is the seventh dimension?”

Ace also replied earnestly, “Here, we can use dimensional nesting to understand it. Imagine the six dimensions as a single point. The so-called sixth dimension doesn’t just start from us, but encompasses all possibilities from the birth of this Astral Plane to its end. In other words, it is all timelines from the Big Bang that birthed the Astral Plane to its final destination—that is, infinite timelines.

“Such infinity is but a single point in the seventh dimension.

“To understand the seventh dimension, one must understand what infinity is. We must imagine an infinity different from our Astral Plane to connect points into a line.”

Everyone listened intently. Ace casually drew on the hologram: “Different Big Bangs, different initial states, different gravities, even different speeds of light, different Alexander Constants (Planck’s Constant). The timeline branches that produce the multiple possible endings of our Astral Plane create another infinity available for connection.

“From infinity to infinity: this is the seventh dimension.

“The future of our wizards lies in continuously exploring and discovering truth. Dimensional ascension means infinite possibilities. Perhaps at some point in the future, we wizards can truly jump out of the infinity of our current Astral Plane and enter another infinity!”

Applause rang out from the audience without them realizing it. Ace bowed slightly to the crowd in acknowledgment. A childlike smile appeared on Alexander’s face.

“How truly wonderful. The ‘Time Selection’ of the fifth dimension, the ‘Infinite Time Jump’ of the sixth dimension, the ‘From Infinity to Infinity’ of the seventh dimension. I really want to experience all of it. Lord Ace, I support you. Please use all your power and wisdom to defeat the super-giant and save our Wizard Civilization anew from a past timeline.

“I hope that in that choice, you can take us to witness the splendor from infinity to infinity.”

Alexander’s hand was raised high. Absolute majority agreed. Although wizards like Daru disagreed with this approach, when the decision was made, they chose to obey. This was the highest law of the wizards, admitting no desecration.

All wizards began to prepare. The Dream Great Source was surging; all power was being sacrificed. Ace was continuously sublimating. The four-dimensional state of Ace received the blessing. The Wizard World annihilated—or rather, transformed into an indescribable, massive amount of energy—and injected into the super-dimensional spell model Ace had prepared. Based on dimensions, the super-dimensional spell model he had practiced for a century flickered.

In the eyes of the super-giant, the disappearance of its food made it incredibly furious. Its billions of heads greedily watched the energy pour into Ace’s body, roaring as it charged at Ace.

Ace did not hesitate. He activated the super-dimensional spell model that carried the hopes of countless wizards: Time Selection!
