Chapter 583: Chapter 364: The New Age Emperor – Su Jie Chapter 583: Chapter 364: The New Age Emperor – Su Jie Ubon Province.
Inside the City Government Building, Pupeng was disheveled, looking as if he hadn’t washed for days, his complexion haggard, his whole being exuding a dim and bleak aura.
“Traitors, all of you traitors, traitors, you have betrayed the trust of our Royal Family, to actually believe in that bastard Baiya, what right does he have to compare with me.”
Looking at the provincial governments on the map one after another declaring allegiance to Baiya and slipping out of his control, Pupeng muttered to himself, wishing he could tear up both the map and Baiya.
Currently, the only territory he controlled within Siam was this last Ubon Province, and his control over it did not rely on Siam Soldiers.
The Siam Soldiers had all surrendered and defected to Baiya, and the military force remaining in Ubon Province was a garrison belonging to the Eight-Nation Group.
This garrison only numbered ten thousand men, primarily light infantry units, originally formed under the leadership of the Beautiful Country to reaffirm Siam’s resolve for war.
But as the battle raged on, the situation in Siam had become irreversible, clearly about to fall under the control of the Jieke Group.
In such a situation, this Eight-Nation Group military force also retreated here.
“Pupeng, clean yourself up, we need to leave.”
The door of the command room was pushed open, and Shawang and Smith walked in.
“Leave, but where to?”
Pupeng lifted his head, his eyes ringed with heavy bags, having had no sleep for the last two days.
“We’ll retreat from Siam, head to Lancang Country, and then cross the border to An Nan to set up a government in exile.”
Shawang spoke indifferently, while the nearby Smith gathered up the confidential documents on the desk and set them on fire.
“No, no, I won’t go, this is my country, and I haven’t lost yet.”
Pupeng’s eyes were bloodshot as he suddenly stood up, glowering at Shawang as though ready to pounce.
“Pupeng, calm down, you lost this war a long time ago.”
Shawang rolled his eyes, ruthlessly crushing Pupeng’s delusions.
“If it wasn’t for your Beautiful Country refusing to send troops, how could I have possibly failed, why should I leave my country in such a sorry state.”
Pupeng grated his teeth, growing angrier with each word.
He had only just begun to savor the taste of being King for a brief time, not even two full months, and before he could get comfortable, he was about to be ousted from the throne.
Having tasted absolute power, his heart and eyes were full of resentment and bitterness.
“Idiot, you’ve made such a mess of the war and still expect us to send troops to help? Do you want to drag us down with you?”
A corner of Shawang’s mouth twitched as he spoke with evident irritation.
Because of the failed encirclement by the four countries, he had also lost favor at CIA headquarters, and he harbored no goodwill towards the foolish Pupeng.
“BOSS, it’s all taken care of.”
Smith, having finished with the documents, came over to inform.
Shawang nodded and gave Smith a meaningful look.
Smith turned and left the room, returning with several Beautiful Country Soldiers who forcefully lifted Pupeng and took him out of the room.
“What are you doing, how dare you, I am the King of Siam, believe it or not, I will have you shot.”
Pupeng struggled and shouted, but the Beautiful Country Soldiers were not gentle with him, delivering several punches which promptly ‘quieted’ the pampered Pupeng.
His status as King was now a joke; his subordinates had long since been devoid of power, and nobody took him seriously.
“This idiot, if we didn’t need him back home to irritate Jieke Group, we might as well leave him here to die.”
Shawang said with exasperation, wishing he could turn back time and not choose such a proxy.
“No choice, keeping Pupeng alive gives us an excuse to interfere later; HQ has made it clear they want him alive.”
Smith shrugged, and the two left the room, stepping out onto the street.
A large convoy had gathered, a long line of Humvees, armored vehicles, and trucks – the remains of the Eight Nation Group’s military force stationed here, about a thousand strong.
This was not their entire force; the whole Eight-Nation Alliance was split into ten groups, heading in different directions at this moment, to scatter attention and conceal their true destination.
As Shawang and Smith got into a vehicle, the convoy started moving, heading towards neighboring Lancang Country.
Ubon Province bordered Lancang Country, and the convoy quickly made it through the border region, entering Lancang territory to meet with officials there.
Only then did everyone finally breathe a sigh of relief, thinking the Jieke Group had not noticed their departure.
Just when they thought this, from above the clouds, seven or eight small black dots appeared, unfolding beautiful tail fins in mid-air, gliding down towards the convoy.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Thunderous explosions burst forth, fireballs and smoke rising into the sky, soldiers near the explosions were blown away, armored vehicles and Humvees overturned, numerous shrapnel and shockwaves caused human tissues to splatter in all directions, leaving behind exaggerated craters.

This was the result of a heavy aerial bomb attack, and the convoy was immediately thrown into chaos.
“Airstrike, scatter the convoy, take cover from the airstrike!”
The command on the ground shouted, arranging for the convoy to disperse to minimize the damage from the airstrike.
“Jieke Group is on our tails, they want to kill me, help me, you CIA promised to help me, I can’t die here.”
Pupeng was in an armored command vehicle, his eyes wide with panic; he couldn’t see any fighter jets, but bombs continuously glided overhead from the horizon. These guidance bombs were cheap and effective, a common weapon used by Jieke Group for aerial bombing raids.
