Chapter 108: [Bonus Chapter] In the Grand Sanctuary!
Roy and Julian could be seen hiding behind thick trees. From its left and right, their head poked out. Then… reflected in their eyes was the Grand Sanctuary. It was just a short walk away from them. But they were feeling out the danger surrounding it. Only two guards wearing the Mask of Chaos could be seen standing outside.
“There’s only two guarding the entrance to the Grand Sanctuary. Either they do not realize that we’ve disabled the power hiding it by destroying the magic circle, or these two are really, really strong.” This was said by Julian in a quiet voice so that only Roy would be able to hear him.
After hearing his words, Roy inspected both of them.
『Ding! You’ve inspected Tyler and Tristan. You received their status screen and character background.』
Roy wasn’t interested in knowing the heinous deeds they’ve committed so far, so he didn’t check their character background and directly read through their status screen.
He found out that they were only at the 9th level.
“Guess what, I just found out they aren’t.” Roy tapped Julian’s shoulder, signaling him to hunch down.
The second he lowered his body, Roy shot out a huge and powerful mana bullet towards a tree fifty meters away. It crashed into the tree, creating a hole in its trunk. The tree tilted and fell to the ground with a dull thud.
“Bam!” The voice of the tree landing on the ground echoed and reached the ears of Tyler and Tristan. Undoubtedly, their attention was attracted. They turned their heads to the source of the noise, which was to the left of Roy and Julian.
At this very moment, Roy jumped out from behind the trees. Eight mana bullets could be seen swirling in his hand. He swung his hands forward, and all eight of them charged toward two different targets at the speed of a legal bullet.
Because Tyler and Tristan had moved their attention elsewhere and the speed of this attack was so high that one couldn’t evade it at a moment’s notice, the bullets met their marks, exploding their heads.
『Ding! Congratulation. You’ve killed Tyler and Tristan. You get +400 EXP.』

Their bodies fell to the ground. Blood could be seen splashed on the door behind. What’s worse was the scene of the brain matters sliding down it. Julian was weak-hearted. He turned his eyes away from this.
Julian stared at Roy, feeling newfound respect for him. “What kind of spell is that? It crushed two servants of Chaos like humans crushing ants. Why is it so deadly?”
“It’s self-created.” Roy was just too casual in telling the boy that he had created new magic at his age.
Julian was shocked to hear him say that.
They dashed towards the door, pushing it open. Revealed to them was a dark corridor. They entered it. This place was devoid of like. The absolute silence was its companion. But this serenity was disturbed by the loud noise of footsteps. They belonged to Julian. They stopped. Walking was the same as announcing to the enemies of their arrival.
They had already expected such a situation and had prepared a solution for it.
“Your footsteps are disturbing. Use the Noise-Cancelling magic paper on yourself.” Roy said.
“I was about to do just that.” Julian gave him a nod in return.
He took out a magic paper from his pocket.
It had a reddish symbol of an odd but esoteric shape drawn on it.
Pouring a little bit of his mana into it, he activated it.
Immediately, the sound of his footsteps vanished.
It didn’t take long for them to see a turn.
“Click, Clomp!”

From the other side, sounds of footsteps could be heard coming. These two sounds were different. It helped determine the number of people around the corner.
‘Two people are about to take this turn,’ Roy thought, taking a stance that said he was ready for an assassination.
The second those two took the turn, they met their ends at the hand of Roy. In this way, he killed one group after another. Julian could only silently gap at him while holding two poison arrows magic paper in his hand. He had taken them out to assist them. But they were still unused.
‘Am I even needed here?’ Julian wondered as he saw Roy murdering another two. He beheaded them with such cruelty that their heads were flung through the air.
Two servants of Chaos just happened to enter this corridor and chance upon a person holding two swords and the headless corpse of fellow Chaotic beings falling to the ground.
“There’s an intruder here.”
“Notify GhostWalker about this.”
?[0)??? One of them could be seen taking out a whistle. He was standing 37 meters away from Roy. Such a distance wasn’t something he could cover in an instant. And he needed at least a second or two to shoot magic bullets his way. It was impossible for him to stop him from blowing the whistle.
What he didn’t notice was Julian activating his magic papers.
“Whoosh!” Four poisonous arrows that were of a green color blasted through the air like a lightning bolt. One struck the man in the very hand that held the emergency whistle. His hand was penetrated by it, causing him such pain that he dropped it. The other arrow struck his right eye, going into it. A massive amount of deadly Poison spread into his brain, killing him in an instant.
The other two arrows killed the second one.
Seeing their lifeless selves slumping to the ground, Julian thought, ‘I guess I’m useful after all.’
Surprisingly, although this was his first time killing these human-like figures, he didn’t feel as bad as he thought he would.
Roy glanced at him. “You did good.”
Julian has been useless so far, but when he made a move, he proved how useful he could be. He was good at sniping out others.
Julian returned it with a smile and overconfident words, “Our perfect plan isn’t going to go down the drain on my watch. I got your back.”
