Chapter 36: Chapter 36

In the days that followed, Ron continuously repeated this daily routine:

He engaged in various training during the day, and at night, he organized the details of the Sword Stances and studied the Body Secret Patterns. Before he knew it, a month had passed.

During this month, Ron successfully converted all Twelve Sword Stances of the Ice Sword Art into Secret Pattern programs. He even created a new Sword Stance of his own, based on the Twelve Sword Stances, specifically for forming an internal combined force.

This was integrated into the 【Comprehensive Body Refinement Technique】, turning this body refinement Secret Pattern program into a true 【Transcendent Body Refinement Technique】.

With the help of the 【Transcendent Body Refinement Technique】, Ron managed to circulate the body’s internal combined force throughout his entire form. It was akin to a ball in a wave; it looked as though the sphere was moving on its own, but in reality, it was merely drifting with the current.

The essence of the internal combined force’s circulation was actually a change in the state of various parts of the body, causing the resulting combined force to not point to any specific location, but rather flow unpredictably.

Yet, whenever there was a need, it could be instantly converted into any form.

In other words, the 【Transcendent Body Refinement Technique】 could actually be seen as a compilation of the Twelve Sword Stances, or even more Sword Stances!

This was an achievement Ron could only accomplish after thoroughly understanding the essence of the Sword Stance.

If the Twelve Sword Stances or other Sword Stances were the various phenomena of transcendent power materializing, then the 【Transcendent Body Refinement Technique】 was the universal law of transcendent power materialization.

It was just a pity that, although Ron had summarized the universal law of transcendent power materialization, he couldn’t independently apply it within his current body.

He could write new Secret Pattern programs to grant his body abilities that only Formal Knights possessed, but these abilities felt more like they were bestowed by an external force, rather than something he had genuinely achieved through his own body.

It was like a person who completely understood the principles of shooting and knew all the various shooting techniques. They might even achieve decent results when a world champion guided their hands step-by-step, but when it came to performing the shooting actions independently:

the results might not necessarily match the ideal.

This was exactly Ron’s situation right now. He understood all the logic, but his body simply couldn’t execute it. The only way to solve this problem was to continuously train.

Over the past month, apart from not relaxing for a single moment during Territory Guard training, Ron had also come up with quite a few methods to assist his training outside the training ground.

For example, he used a thin thread to suspend a small pebble inside his house. As long as he didn’t completely detach his consciousness to return to his true form, the Light Orb, he would observe that pebble and the thin thread hanging it from time to time.

This was to train his visual precision.

As for his body, the various training subjects at the training ground were already excellent. Ron could clearly see his own progress, and for the moment, he couldn’t think of any better training methods.

Therefore, in terms of precise physical training, he devised a 【Perfect Preliminary Edition】. This involved first using the “universal combined force law” of the 【Transcendent Body Refinement Technique】 to calculate the perfect combined force version for various real-life activities.

It encompassed daily activities such as walking, sitting, and standing.

After that, he would continuously experience this perfect combined force edition, and then imitate and correct it himself. He would repeat this cycle until all the movements of his daily activities were transformed into a state of internal combined force.

Once he reached this state, he would be a Formal Knight.

It was equivalent to him being able to repeatedly experience the various states of a Formal Knight in advance, before actually becoming one. Compared to others who had to grope in the dark and explore little by little, this cheat-like method of his was countless times more efficient!

Yet, even so, Ron’s own estimated time to become a Formal Knight was still at least half a year, barely allowing him to achieve the goal before the midsummer Aberrant Beast invasion.

This was the triumph of his cheat, and also the triumph of the education from Ron’s homeland!

A goal that the locals might not even reach in their entire lifetimes, he could achieve in a mere half a year. Even he himself, prior to discovering the essence of the Sword Stance, wouldn’t have dared to dream of such a miraculous event!

But now, this miracle was about to be realized, and Ron was filled with anticipation for the future.

……

The next day.

Ron arrived at the training ground early. The companions of the Blood and Fire Squad quickly assembled, and the group discussed today’s training content along with the other squads that had already arrived.

“Did your instructor also say that today’s training requires leaving the territory?”

“He did, and I inquired yesterday. Almost all five-person squads are leaving the territory for training today. The larger squads will have this part of their training delayed relatively.”

Everyone was actually quite clear on the reason. Squads with more people needed more time to train in team coordination. Before becoming Formal Knights, only Order was their sole means of self-preservation outside the territory.

“Do you guys know what’s outside the territory?”

“I don’t know. My father is also in the Territory Guard, but every time I ask him, he keeps it a strict secret. Even though I’m leaving the territory for training today, he didn’t reveal anything. He just reminded me to trust my instincts.”

“Same here, my father told me the same thing.”

Trust their instincts?

Listening to the conversation of these local teenagers, Ron fell into deep thought. The dead tree where he had transmigrated was actually not outside the territory, but merely outside the town limits.

Outside the town limits, there were vast expanses of farmland. Beyond the farmland were the sentry posts established by the Territory Guard, and only beyond those posts lay the true outside of the territory.

Ron speculated that this training would involve taking a stroll around the outer sentry posts of the territory to experience the real world outside of Order. Barring any surprises, testing the effects of their Battle Formations should be one of the critical subjects of this training.

Before long, all the instructors arrived. Besides the twenty apprentice instructors they saw every day, the territory’s Chief Instructor Pierce was also present.

“Right, even if they don’t completely leave the territory’s borders, just strolling around the territory’s edges carries considerable risks. Under these circumstances, it wouldn’t be surprising even if the Lord personally led the team.”

Of course, the Lord definitely couldn’t come this time. Ron had known a month ago that the Lord had been severely injured during the Aberrant Beast invasion, and the territory was currently managed by his eldest son, Waynes, and his second son, Foss.

As for who the big shot coming this time would be, they would find out soon enough.

“Everyone, a month of training has finally given you a semblance of a soldier. Today, you will complete an extraordinary training session. Today, you will witness the truest side of this world.

“Squads whose names are called will immediately proceed to the quartermaster to receive new weapons and equipment. Furthermore, this set of weapons and equipment will be used for your training for the next two months.”

After Pierce finished speaking, Arnold began to call the roll one by one to receive equipment. In reality, this was also to reconfirm the roster of squads participating in today’s outbound training.

“Blood and Fire Squad!”

“Present.”

Ron and the others responded while quickly moving toward the quartermaster at the edge of the grounds, maintaining a quasi-combat formation. As for the equipment and such, so many squads had already received it just now, and Ron wasn’t blind, so he had naturally seen it long ago.

The new equipment distributed this time was quite comprehensive: a set of standard leather armor, a pair of leather boots, a standard longsword (sharpened), five javelins for throwing, a spear (main weapon), as well as a water skin, food pouch, healing medicine, and other miscellaneous items.
