Chapter 2252: Growing Unrest in the Northern Central Region

“A disturbance in the Western Central Region? And now of all times…” And while the different major powers from the Southern Central Region that had the ability to set out for the Western Central Region had already done so, Blood Lotus Demon King could only regretfully mutter this to himself. His gaze drifting towards the ancient barrier he had been spending his time trying to force his way through ever since he took over the Blue Sea Empire and successfully claimed the ancient ruins below this once glorious empire. Aware that there was no way for him to move in his current position.

But… Even if he did have the ability to move, he had no intention of going anywhere near the Yellow Peak Region where the ancient formation was situated. Knowing full well that his current strength was nowhere near strong enough to contend with the powerful figures that were going to show up contending for the things hidden behind the collapsing formation.

For starters, his current strength, while powerful within the Land Creation Realm, was only the entry point for those participating in the upcoming battle for treasures. If anything, being below the Star Creation Realm in terms of strength disqualified one from participating in the true battle for the hidden treasures.

If he had managed to successfully get through the damnable barrier blocking him for now, he would have already broken through to the Late Stage of the Demon King Realm and have strength comparable to someone at the Star Creation Realm. Even if he ended up becoming the weakest kind of Star Creation Realm cultivator, he would at least possess the qualifications to participate.

Nothing like his current situation where he could only silently watch from the side while praying whatever chaotic battle ended up erupting didn’t end up spilling over into the Northern Central Region- or in case it did, stopped before it affected the borders of the Blue Sea Empire that had by now been integrated into the Frozen Wastelands.

“Please, contain the battle to the Western Central Region!”

“How about we make a quick trip using the merchant caravan? A few months would not hurt, and it would also ensure we do not find ourselves being blown away by the aftershocks of some random senior from the Southern Central Region…”

“What you say makes sense, those fellows right next to the Western Central Region already emptied out their treasury and decided to relocate for a bit in anticipation of the upcoming chaos.”

Acting in a manner that wasn’t the least bit surprising following news of the current situation in the Yellow Peak Region of the Western Central Region spreading beyond the borders of the Western Central Region to reach the Northern Central Region. The different major powers who found themselves squeezed in between the demonic cultivators now in control of the Blue Sea Empire and the Western Central Region about to fall into a state of chaos when senior figures from the southern Central Region started to show up, wasted no time making a quick exit. Rushing to make use of the recently established merchant caravan to get out of the way before they found themselves disappearing into the annals of history when the conflict inevitably expanded in the Frozen Wastelands.

The different major powers of the Northern Central Region that would normally have taken advantage of the different powerful figures leaving, coming together to agree on a ceasefire while the situation in the Western Central Region was playing out.

None of them felt especially worried about the cities and other structures they left behind in the process, as they had already carried the most valuable stuff along with them when they left. Leaving behind the difficult-to-move resources behind their still very much active defensive formations, that even someone in the Sea Formation Realm of the Profound Immortal Realm would have a tough time taking down in the short term.

After all, the only ones evacuating from these different major powers were those who were of utmost importance, as the majority of the people belonging to these major powers remained in place like nothing had happened.

Sure, some might have wanted to follow in the footsteps of their superiors and run away, but the merchant caravan moving through the Southern Central Region was already under complete control. Ensuring that escaping along the same path was impossible.

In the end, the safest option was to remain in place, as any other way would either see them passing straight through the increasingly deadly Yellow Peak Region, the demonic cultivator controlled Blue Sea Empire or the equally deadly Southern Central Region.

Even worse, going through the outer regions outside the Northern Central Region wasn’t an option either, as the Frozen Wastelands awaited them if they attempted to flee in that direction, while moving below the Yellow Peak Region wasn’t any less dangerous compared to just saying a quiet prayer before attempting to charge straight through the Yellow Peak Region itself before the chaos had fully erupted across the region. Praying that one would be able to make it through in time before the battle began.

While there was never a lack of bold individuals who disdained leaving their fate in the hands of someone else, it was a minority, as most decided to just try and wait things out.

Of course, to ensure they had the best possible chance of making it out alive, the empire that found itself bordering the Western Central region was essentially abandoned, as everyone who had been left behind began making their way towards the borders of the empire bordering the former Blue Sea Empire.

Mortals were no different from cultivators, as they also noticed the migration of the cultivators. Wasting no time in picking up their belongings before following the constant stream of lights in the sky left behind by spiritual boats and other artifacts shipping people away from the borders of the Western Central Region.

The cultivators themselves making no real effort to hide their movements, as there was no lack of opportunistic individuals who owed flying artifacts and boats taking advantage of the situation to squeeze a tidy profit from all the cultivators below the Domain Lord Realm who found their running speed to slow.
