Chapter 393: This Jiang Li Guy Clearly Can't Fight

The High Priest never imagined he could ever be under surveillance – such methods were utterly terrifying.

In his long life, he had only encountered one other being beyond his comprehension.

The extraterrestrial visitor from sixty years ago.

Though appearing middle-aged, the High Priest’s true age remained unknown. Having absorbed the longevity superpower, his lifespan stretched endlessly. He had witnessed the rise and fall of feudal dynasties multiple times.

He walked the edges of history as the most mysterious superhuman, only establishing the Superhuman Cult after global unification ushered in modern society, aiming to absorb all superpowers.

The extraterrestrial called himself the Executor of Karma. When the High Priest met him, he felt profoundly insignificant – his thousand years of experience seeming childish in comparison.

After brief words of encouragement and a pat on the shoulder, the Executor vanished.

Unknown to the High Priest, the Executor had initially been displeased upon arriving at Weigu World. The thriving civilization contradicted his expectations of a broken world in ruins. He considered restarting his world-destruction plans until meeting the High Priest changed his mind.

After two months of observation, the Executor recognized the High Priest as a powerful, ambitious, stubborn superhuman with unchecked authority but limited governance skills.

Such a ruler would inevitably plunge Weigu World into chaos and suffering.

Thus, the Executor withheld his hand.

He longed for competent subordinates who could exterminate life without his direct intervention, reducing his workload. Sadly, such individuals were rare.

After the Executor, the High Priest now encountered two more unfathomable beings.

He suspected they originated from the same place as the Executor.

Activating his superpower to divine the battle’s outcome, he received only blankness – the same result as when probing the Executor.

Abandoning restraint, the High Priest unleashed all his sixth-tier superpowers. Against the Director, he hadn’t used even one-tenth of his strength.

“Ten Thousand Thunders Converge!”

Dark clouds gathered, thunder rumbled deafeningly as blue lightning prepared to rain down, its viscous plasma capable of reducing the entire city to charcoal.

Jiang Li glanced upward, and the storm clouds dissipated instantly.

“Eye of the Hurricane!”

A massive cyclone formed in the sky, its center resembling a pupil. Seventeen-level winds raged with bullet train velocity, capable of flattening any structure.

“Wind-Ceasing Art!” Bai Hongtu commanded, his words carrying divine authority as he stilled the tempest.

“Spatial Fracture!”

The very air cracked like spiderwebs, space fragmenting chaotically.

Jiang Li casually waved his hand, smoothing space back to normal.

“Artificial Sun!”

A scorching miniature sun appeared overhead, cracking the earth and igniting vegetation.

“Frozen Wastes.” Bai Hongtu invoked Daoist magic, flash-freezing the false sun and its flames midair.

“500x Gravity!”

Jiang Li moved unaffected.

“Nuclear Fusion!”

The High Priest hurled a stone lion, having imbued it with fusion capability. Its nuclei collided, releasing catastrophic energy.

Bai Hongtu caught it barehanded, containing the explosion completely within his palm.

“Meteor Strike!”

At his shout, cosmic causality shifted slightly, altering an asteroid’s trajectory. The flaming rock streaked toward Jiang Li, who gently redirected it back into orbit.

“Don’t embarrass yourself with these parlor tricks.”

Bai Hongtu threw a punch. The High Priest created spatial barriers, but the fist shattered through them, striking his chest so hard his heart stopped for seconds.

“Seriously? This is your world-domination level?” Bai Hongtu sneered.

As the High Priest flew backward, Jiang Li appeared behind him, mimicking Bai Hongtu’s punch to send him rebounding between them like a volleyball.

“You forced my han-OW! My tongue!”

Mid-threat, the High Priest bit his tongue painfully.

“Ever fought before? Only amateurs talk during battle,” Jiang Li and Bai Hongtu scoffed at his lack of combat sense.

Any Nine Provinces cultivator knew the basics: no talking, no flashy moves, protect your storage ring, and never fight Jiang Li.

The High Priest’s rage proved useful – he teleported 100 meters away through spatial manipulation, only for his attackers to instantly reposition.

As they chased him through constant location shifts, the watching Director wondered if he was hallucinating. Was this really the invincible, lawless cult leader?

Switching tactics, the High Priest activated “Intangibility,” temporarily becoming untouchable.

Bai Hongtu’s missed strike allowed his escape.

“This resembles our Dao Sect’s ‘Shadowless Standing’ technique.”

Gasping heavily, the High Priest realized his proud physique meant nothing against these two – they handled him like playdough.

“Two against one isn’t fair! Fight me separately!”

Realizing simultaneous combat was hopeless, he opted for divide-and-conquer.

“Who first then?”

After studying both, instinct told him: the eccentric Bai Hongtu was unpredictably dangerous, while Jiang Li’s normal demeanor suggested more manageable power.

“Jiang Li. You’re my opponent.”

Bai Hongtu gave a thumbs-up: “Great choice! Clearly the weaker one!”

Silently, the High Priest drew two superpower-enhanced battle-axes from his spatial storage.

For courtesy, Jiang Li finished his candied hawthorns, wiped sugary lips, and readied the leftover wooden skewer as his weapon.

“Taste my axes!” The High Priest roared, swinging with full strength.

Jiang Li strolled casually, effortlessly parrying with the skewer. Their clashes produced thunderous booms.

Horrified, the High Priest saw his axes notch against the wooden stick, which remained unscathed.

Panicking, he combined axes with superpowers, seeking any advantage. Yet Jiang Li remained nonchalantly untroubled.

Furious but helpless, the High Priest could only watch as Jiang Li’s skewer stabbed clean through his chest.

Though not fatal, he seized Jiang Li’s arm with bloody grin:

“Got you! Devouring superpower!”
