Chapter 161: The End and the Beginning

Seawater that blotted out the sky appeared again, surging madly toward the indescribable, chaotic, and ominous darkness.

The sea giant emerged from the waves. He roared in anger, instantly swelling in size, and attacked the depths of the darkness with unstoppable power.

Every attack carried countless waves, layers upon layers of force. By the time it reached the depths of the darkness, it had formed unimaginably terrifying power.

Athena seized the opportunity to stand firm in the void. She continued to walk barefoot with elegant steps, constantly aligning with the world’s Domain of Elegance, her aura continuously rising.

The existence deep within the darkness seemed to let out a low growl. Although His mind was chaotic, He still knew He was being attacked. Furthermore, He had not fully crossed the barrier and was stuck halfway, being suppressed by this projection of a new Deity and a Demigod.

The three forces constantly clashed, and the injuries to the darkness gradually worsened. He seemed enraged, roaring violently. Thick shadows gathered, and the lair stirred as if some terrifyingly ominous thing was about to cross the boundary.

The ominous shadow surged out in excess, instantly severely wounding the unprepared sea giant and enveloping the golden-eyed, barefoot, white-robed Athena layer by layer.

Athena felt no fear. Her aura had reached its peak, and Her communication with the Great Source was almost optimal.

Outer Plane of the world, Kaya Mountain, Medea’s divine domain.

Her main body had risen from the divine throne and walked to the side of the clear spring.

The entire divine domain sub-plane trembled violently. Countless strands of divine power were stripped from the divine domain, surging into Medea, the Goddess of Elegance, standing by the clear spring.

Elegant and sacred divine power pulsed, gradually condensing in Her hand into a small Singularity, pulsing unstably. This Singularity contained extremely powerful energy, which normally could not enter the Inner Plane from the Outer Plane.

Because Athena had achieved optimal communication with the Domain of Elegance in the Great Source, She could use the Great Source’s Domain of Elegance as a transit station to instantly infuse the power into Athena.

She gently pushed the unstable divine power Singularity. The Singularity disappeared into the clear spring, following the Domain of Elegance in the Great Source, successfully communicating with Athena.

The golden-eyed Athena stepped barefoot into the depths of the darkness. Accompanied by the power of the Elegance Domain, the unstable divine power Singularity appeared in Her hand.

She said softly: “Pontos, please pin down the Archon’s projection. We are sending him home.”

The heavily wounded Pontos gasped for breath, not speaking. Surging waves replaced words. Massive amounts of seawater carried Pontos’s unique divine power—the solidified power of His embryonic Pontos Sea Divine Domain, the Eternal Sea.

It instantly bound the darkness!

Pontos’s gasping grew louder. He signaled for the golden-eyed Athena to hurry; He couldn’t hold on for long.

The golden-eyed Athena continued to walk slowly forward. Under Her bare feet, ripples formed in the void with each step.

She approached the depths of the darkness, extended Her fair, sacred hand, placed the Singularity to Her lips, and blew gently.

Silently, the darkness collapsed, and the Domain of Elegance expanded.

She used the power of elegance from the entire divine domain to invade and destroy the darkness. In just a few minutes, the darkness and the Abyssal Lair were completely replaced by elegance. Accompanied by the radiance of the sunrise, it was somewhat brilliant.

Having fulfilled the agreement, Pontos did not linger. He quickly left, returning to the depths of the ocean. His injuries were severe; He should not move again for at least a hundred years.

The gold in Athena’s eyes gradually dimmed. The white robe of divine power on her body flickered in and out of existence. The excessive use of divine power brought the Goddess’s projection to the brink of collapse and inflicted heavy damage on Athena’s body and soul.

The remaining bit of divine power allowed the unconscious Athena to slowly float down to the ground.

Alexius, who was confronting the Royal City’s crusade legion, retreated overnight upon discovering the anomaly in the Abyssal Lair, heaving a long sigh of relief.

A few days later, he heard rumors from his spies.

The Abyssal Lair was destroyed, the Abyssal Archon’s projection was annihilated by the Goddess of Elegance, and the Princess fought until exhaustion, falling unconscious.

“It is unlikely that the projection of the Goddess of Elegance and Pontos combined could defeat the Archon’s projection, even if only half of the Archon’s projection entered the Inner Plane!

The Princess fought to exhaustion and fell unconscious?

Hmph!

I learned what Deities are like when the God of Frost stripped me of my power!

She must have used the Princess to unleash some kind of limit-breaking power. This power certainly has many restrictions, and the consequences must be severe.

Even half of the Archon’s projection is enough to inflict heavy damage on those two.

This is the best environment for me. The Goddess of Elegance will not have the strength to act for a long time, and without the Archon’s projection, the entire Abyssal Projection of the Northern March belongs to me, Alexius!

I will establish a Kingdom of Demons here. I will use the virtual Authority of the Abyssal Projection to become an Advanced Demon!”

Just as Alexius’s ambition swelled, the group in the Larr Mountains, suffering from disease, finally arrived at the nameless valley in the eastern part of the mountains. They walked with stumbling steps, their faces exhausted, but their spirits were high!

A few days ago, a heart-palpitating, indescribable whispering erupted from the direction of the former Northern March Fortress. It lasted for a while, nearly driving the group migrating to the nameless valley collectively mad.

The mirror image Ace hurriedly cast Advanced Magical Trickery, incanting “Mechanized Mind!”

Using the quasi-spell effect similar to Mechanized Mind, he barely managed to keep everyone rational and human.

Fortunately, the whispering disappeared after a while, swept away by a comfortable, rousing, and elegant melody, and everyone returned to normal.

Now, after enduring hardships, they finally reached the mountain range beside the valley. Looking down at the primitive natural landscape of the valley, facing the sea breeze and smelling the salt of the seawater, the exhaustion of the journey seemed to be swept away.

The gray-robed Bayen gazed at the settlement at the confluence of the valley rivers and said excitedly to everyone:

“Fellow Wizard Apprentices, ahead is our new home. The future Wizard Academy and magical small town are right before our eyes!

Lord Ace has gone ahead and prepared clean lodgings and hot meals for us. A new life is right before us!”

Inside the valley, at the new settlement.

Along the river, large areas of fertile wasteland had been reclaimed, waiting only for winter to pass to begin spring plowing.

The simple dwellings of the settlement had also been built. They were full of barbarian style, but were basically dry and habitable.

Inside the largest thatched hut, the mirror image Ace and the host body Ace were undergoing mental synchronization.

Their eyes met, their souls trembled, and their mental frequencies gradually aligned. The information of their memories began to share and communicate rhythmically.

This feeling seemed somewhat similar to connecting with the mental imprint network!

Ace felt he had grasped something, yet also seemed to grasp nothing!

What is the connection between the mental imprint network of the Wizard Apprentices and the bond between the mirror image and the host body? Why are they similar? Is there something I have overlooked?
