Chapter 220: Crisis

Daina looked at Romon, who appeared ruthless yet calm, and hadn’t expected Uncle Romon to be so decisive. Without the Magic Ship, this method might indeed have been safer.

She said to Romon: “Don’t worry. This is the most excellent magical creation Lord Ace has made so far. The Magic Brig will astonish you.”

Romon looked skeptically at the Magic Ship, which appeared no different from an ordinary ship. Creak!

Little wooden figures crawled out from the squirming deck, jumping ashore. Seeing the simple-looking wooden figures, the crowd gasped in surprise.

Daina communicated with Carson, dividing the crowd into 30 groups of 100 people, each led by a wooden figure. The Magic Sailing Ship Seeker extended several wide wooden planks and ladders. The estate people waiting at the fishing port, organized by the Wizard Apprentices and the wooden figures, boarded the ship in an orderly manner, carrying grain, livestock, seeds, tools, and various other items.

Romon watched the dark mass of over 3,000 people and numerous valuables all disappear into the Magic Brig. His mouth was wide open, and his eyes were as wide as copper bells. He pulled Marina, following Daina up the wooden ladder onto the deck, looking around.

Suddenly, the deck beneath his feet squirmed, and a section of the deck protruded, carrying him into Sub-Level 1 of the Magic Ship.

Romon looked at everything before him in disbelief. The ceiling was over five meters high. Dozens of Controllable Light Orbs floated on the wooden ceiling, illuminating the place as if it were day.

Under the direction of the wooden figures and Wizard Apprentices, the estate slaves were orderly stacking items in the warehouse, granary, livestock area, and other places. The slaves who had finished their work were guided by the wooden figures to eat in the common dining room.

“Am I dreaming? How can the interior of such an ordinary sailing ship be so huge?”

Romon couldn’t help but slap himself hard. A red handprint quickly appeared on his face. The sharp pain told him this was not a dream.

Daina suppressed her laughter, bowed slightly to Romon and Marina with a straight face, and then said: “Let me give you a tour of the amazing Magic Sailing Ship.”

While the people of the estate were amazed, the sky gradually brightened. The six sailing ships slowly sailed out of the fishing port, heading toward the desert island.

At dawn, Ace transformed into a black cat. With six buttons pinned to his fur, he ran elegantly along the tops of the walls in the villa complex of the First District.

Suddenly, black cat Ace stopped, standing on the wall and looking down. This was Peter’s villa. He had unconsciously arrived here.

Today was another day for Peter to give lectures. Under the fallen leaves of early winter, Peter leaned against a tree trunk, lecturing a group of students. His voice was still rhythmic and modulated, but his expression was very weary, and he had aged considerably.

Ace stopped on the wall, listening quietly.

“In ancient times, legend says humans ate raw meat and drank blood. Legend says that Medira, the Goddess of Hope, stole the heavenly fire and passed it on to humans, allowing us to escape from ignorance. Fire is the birth gift bestowed upon humanity by the world…”

It’s this lesson again. Ace’s thoughts drifted back to several years ago. It was a summer, the courtyard was shaded by trees, and the heat was unbearable. Peter was lecturing passionately in the same rhythmic manner.

Black cat Ace stood up on his hind legs and performed a standard Peter School bow to Peter, then jumped off the wall and left. Peter, who was lecturing, saw it—it seemed like a black cat on the wall was bowing to him. It was fleeting, simply incredible.

Taking advantage of the daylight, Ace successfully left Medimus Royal City. Once he was far enough from the Royal City, he transformed into an eagle and flew away without looking back.

It was noon. The winter sun was very warm, making people feel cozy. Daina, standing on the deck, was waiting anxiously. A loud eagle cry rang out. A small dot appeared in the sky, rapidly growing larger. It turned out to be an eagle, which quickly flew onto the Magic Sailing Ship.

The eagle landed on the deck. Immediately, like liquid, accompanied by the pulse of Mana, it transformed into a human form.

Daina looked at Ace, who was alone, and felt a little disappointed. She was about to speak, but then she saw Ace gently take six buttons from his pocket and place them on the deck.

He reversed the Transformation Spell, guiding Mana into the six buttons with both hands. The buttons gradually grew larger. In a short while, six sleeping people appeared on the deck.

Daina recognized five of them at a glance as her parents and brothers. The other one looked familiar, but she couldn’t recall where she had seen him.

“Thank you, Teacher Ace!” Daina walked happily toward Ace, bowing and saying: “Thank you for bringing all my family here. May I ask who this child is?”

Ace smiled warmly and said loudly:

“No need to thank me. You are my apprentice. We Wizards should help each other. This is Bayen’s only relative, his grandson. Take them down first. When they wake up, comfort them and explain the current situation.”

Then Ace frowned slightly and said to Daina apologetically:

“The Magic Ship will sail north, taking the fleet and everyone back.

You have another mission. Later, you and Borg will take an ordinary sailing ship disguised as a merchant ship, carrying grain and livestock, to Cimali to inquire about the recent situation there. It would be best to use Borg’s old connections to establish some contacts, making it easier for us to disguise ourselves as Cimali ships in the future, and then return as soon as possible.

After thinking it over, you are the only one here I can trust. After arriving in Cimali, ensure secrecy. Pay attention to concealment. Safety first.”

Daina’s lips trembled slightly. The feeling of being trusted by the person she respected most was so fulfilling. She paused, bowed solemnly at 35 degrees, and said: “I will do my absolute best to complete the mission!”

In the evening, the fire at the Ace Estate was discovered by a Divine Descendant Inspector. Hero Samus Medea, father of Dean Medea and brother of King Tedus, rushed to the Ace Estate almost all the way.

He touched the scorched pit outside the estate. The despair of the moment Dean was killed seemed to flash in his eyes. He lost his voice in pain, kneeling outside the pit with trembling hands and feet, weeping old tears.

After a long time, Samus Medea’s eyes revealed extreme sorrow and hatred. His body radiated extreme cold. Almost instantly, his dominant bloodline changed completely from the power of elegance to the power of extreme cold frost!

“My son, my only living son. Father will definitely find the murderer, definitely…”

Samus whispered hoarsely, gently scooping up the soil bit by bit and putting it into a parchment bag.

At this time, Ace’s fleet had split into two directions. The Magic Sailing Ship led the other four ordinary sailing ships back to the High Tower Territory. Daina and Borg took the flagship toward Cimali Port.

Ace stood atop the main mast of the Magic Sailing Ship, whispering:

“The purpose of this voyage has been basically achieved. My family, and Daina’s and Bayen’s families have been retrieved. The high-quality population trained by the Ace Estate for several years and a large amount of supplies are in hand! The crew of the ordinary sailing ships also completed their first voyage. Everything went smoothly.”

Meanwhile, High Tower Territory, Nightlight City.

The mirror image stood by the embrasure of the west city wall, listening to Caruso’s report.

“Lord Sharp, all 45 remaining Wizard Apprentices and nearly 5,000 territory residents have entered the city. Currently, nearly 200 ordinary residents are dead or injured, and 6 Wizard Apprentices are injured.”
