Chapter 265: The Foundational Meditation Method
The feeling of being personally involved was completely different from being a bystander. After becoming a Moon Worshiping Wolf and following their simple rituals to worship the bright moon, Ace observed some faint Rune trajectories and the principles behind them.
The ritual was important, yet also unimportant.

It would achieve a delicate natural balance at the peak of the bright moon’s power—the full moon—absorbing the scattered radiation of the moon’s power.
Time flew by, and another year passed. Ace was now thirty years old. He had no time to spare for his thirtieth birthday. Leaning against the soft belly of the Alpha Wolf, he recorded his experimental insights in his Magic Book.
“Because of the existence of mana, the spirit—or rather, the mind—possesses incredible power. By achieving a certain frequency alignment with the bright moon, even without worshipping it, one can utilize its radiated power in the world to elevate oneself.
“The mana of the bright moon radiates constantly, only reaching its peak during the full moon. By constantly observing its patterns and trajectories, I have finally fixed this mental resonance and connection using rune expressions.
“Here, I need to clarify why the power of the bright moon makes our mental power significantly active and elevated.
“Long ago, I discovered that mana has a ‘pollution’ characteristic. A creature with its own unique mana will consciously or unconsciously ‘pollute’ and change the surrounding environment and objects.
“Wonder Items are a typical product of this. An existence at the Hero level or above imbues a thought or a personal characteristic into an inanimate object at a certain moment, thus creating a Wonder Item with various incredible effects.
“To put it another way, mana is radiative. As an aggregate of mana, a supernatural life form itself is a radiation source with unique mana, actively or passively radiating and changing its surroundings.
“When I act as a radiation source, I can actively change an existence far below my level, endowing it with certain characteristics, or passively radiate influence onto other living and non-living things. When I am the radiated object, I can adjust my own state to realize changes in my own characteristics.
“This is a bold hypothesis summarized from a small amount of empirical practice. It requires more experiments to verify this theoretical hypothesis.
“I name every radiation source capable of releasing radiation a ‘Radiant Astral Body,’ or ‘Astral Body’ for short. The situation of actively or passively releasing radiation is called ‘Projection.’ The behavior of actively adjusting and guiding the influence of radiation on oneself is called ‘Beneficial State.’
“This hypothesis is named the ‘Beneficial State Astral Projection Hypothesis.'”
After describing the hypothesis in his Magic Book, Ace closed it, transformed it back into a book ring, and wore it on his left index finger.
He waved his hand slightly, and a series of exquisite Level 0 Runes appeared.
“Clarity, Frequency Modulation, Astral Body, Principal Star, Beneficial State, Mana, Storage. These Level 0 Runes happen to construct a simple three-dimensional Spell Model.
“Adding corresponding auxiliary runes, it becomes a 1-Ring Meditation Spell.”
Ace watched the simple 1-Ring three-dimensional Spell Model appear. With the addition of auxiliary runes and his continuous adjustments to the Spell Model’s state, the entire model gradually became rich and profound.
The clarity rune solidified the state of mind, maintaining a clear and translucent mental state. In this state, defenses were most relaxed, making it easiest to accept radiation influence.
The Frequency Modulation Rune adjusted the state of mana radiation, striving to reduce the radiation influence produced by oneself, thereby accepting as much radiation influence from other high-energy existences as possible.
The Astral Body Rune fixed oneself as a mana radiation source, preparing for the next stage of beneficial state interaction with the principal star as an astral body.
The function of the Principal Star Rune was to anchor a visualization object as the Principal Star. The more powerful this object and the more compatible it was with oneself, the better. This object should preferably have high objectivity and low subjectivity to achieve the best effect.
The Beneficial State Rune was a series of rune groups adapted by Ace from encryption runes. Through the Beneficial State Rune Group, one could consciously regulate the effects of meditation and determine the primary characteristics one wished to obtain.
The Mana Rune itself guided ambient environmental mana into oneself, but under the control of the Beneficial State Rune Group, it would selectively choose suitable mana.
The Storage Rune would store the characteristic mana, utilizing it to achieve the characteristics sought through meditation.
Looking at the fully adjusted 1-Ring Spell Model, which was crystal clear and tinged with starlight and silver, Ace stood up from the Alpha Wolf’s belly with satisfaction and attempted to activate the meditation Spell Model.
Today was the first day after the new moon. A crescent moon hung in the sky, and the power of the bright moon was at its weakest.
As the Spell Model activated, Ace felt his mind instantly become clear and defenseless, as if welcoming something great.
Then, the Spell Model began to adjust his mana radiation state. Ace’s spirit could feel the power he constantly radiated being tightened. At the same time, he felt fixed like a node in a certain dimension.
Immediately after, he sensed the brilliance of the anchored principal star—the bright moon. He had recorded the changes of the bright moon over more than a year in detail and fixed these changes as a trajectory into the Principal Star Rune (Bright Moon Rune).
Although this record was detailed, it remained at the level of superficial observation, ultimately forming only a single Level 0 Rune.
As this rune flickered, the image of the bright moon’s periodic changes surfaced in Ace’s mind. He visualized the bright moon, and the Beneficial State Rune Group activated.
As the Beneficial State Rune Group fixed the relationship between the two, the scattered power of the bright moon was attracted by Ace, transforming into characteristic mana that greatly activated and elevated Mental Power.
This characteristic mana gathered around him bit by bit, surged into his body, seeped into his soul, and finally entered the Soul Sanctuary without leaving a drop behind.
Gradually, the eastern sky turned pale white. Although the moon still hung in the sky, its power had hidden away. Ace could no longer draw upon the power of the bright moon.
Because Ace’s Soul Sanctuary had absorbed a large amount of Void Solute, it was far vaster than ordinary Soul Sanctuaries. The incoming characteristic mana slowly dispersed within it but surprisingly couldn’t fill the entire Soul Sanctuary.
The characteristic mana eventually formed a cloud of mist, settling in a corner of the Soul Sanctuary, slowly being absorbed and transformed by it. Accompanying this transformation, the bright moon mana was slowly converted by the Soul Sanctuary, activating and elevating Ace’s soul strength. His Mental Power scale, which hadn’t moved for a long time, began to rise.
Since reaching 14 unit, his Mental Power had stagnated for two years. Now, like rain after a long drought, it rose rapidly at an observable speed.
Ace opened his eyes, gazing at the sun rising in the distance. He narrowed his eyes slightly and spoke in a calm tone:
“The construction of the 1-Ring Meditation Method is successful. After testing and correcting it a few more times, I can replicate it into the Soul Sanctuary. This meditation method shall be called the ‘Beneficial State Bright Moon Projection Meditation Method,’ or ‘Bright Moon Meditation Method’ for short.”
And so, after two years of observation and research, the first 1-Ring Meditation Method in magical history was born.
