Chapter 348: Holy Light Knight

Azure Holy Light gradually enveloped Ancestar’s mount. With his azure Holy Light Knight longsword pointed straight at the dark lightning, he spurred his Winged Swiftwind Horse into a reverse charge.

With Ancestar’s charge, a faint holy melody seemed to echo—a tune filled with such compassion, tinged with a touch of warmth and sorrow.

Boom!

Alex’s dark lightning met resistance and was actually blocked by Ancestar’s charge. The azure Holy Light shone brilliantly, and time seemed to stand still in that moment.

Donna, noticing Ancestar was struggling, grabbed Arno and Xavier, leading the other Advanced Knight Squires to dodge out of the dark lightning’s area of effect.

Shortly after they left, Ancestar steered his mount to veer off, flying into the sky.

Alex’s dark lightning struck the ground where everyone had just been, turning it into a pitch-black, bottomless pit that emanated the corrosion and stench of the Abyss.

Ancestar circled in the sky and charged at Alex.

A sinister smile played on Alex’s lips. The shadows behind him spread open like a hungry beast waiting to feed. Ancestar’s charge grew faster and faster. Arno couldn’t help shouting, “Melancholy Uncle, don’t clash head-on!”

Just then, Ancestar suddenly arced his path. He and his mount abruptly turned back, while a beam of azure Holy Light shot straight at Alex like a lance.

Boom!

The azure Holy Light lance pierced straight toward Alex. In an instant, it penetrated the shadows Alex had spread out and stabbed into his left shoulder. This power of Holy Light seemed to have an extraordinary suppression and damage burst effect on demons, actually piercing through Alex’s entire left shoulder and leaving a terrifying Holy Scar.

It turned out Ancestar had already planned his countermeasure. He had no intention of clashing head-on; he just wanted to buy some time. Facing a peak Level 2 Great Demon alone was extremely difficult for him. His plan was to catch the opponent off guard and injure him first, buying time for Arno to comprehend the Holy Light as well!

The moment he gained the protection of the Holy Light, Ancestar felt infinitely close to a realm no one had ever reached before: the Grand Knight.

He believed his disciple Arno could do it too, because Arno was the most talented person in the way of the Knight he had ever seen.

Alex felt an excruciating burning pain. The damage continuously eroded his body, seemingly even more hateful to demons than the legendary Glory of Dawn.

“Hiss…”

Alex grabbed the azure light lance with his claw. His claw instantly blistered—a simply unimaginable sight. A Great Demon was actually being hurt by such a thing.

“Damn it! You lot… I don’t know where you stole this supernatural power from, but it’s disgusting! Demons feel ashamed for you! I will kill you all and add your souls to my collection in the shadows!”

Roaring in anger, Alex slowly pulled out the Holy Light lance.

Using this precious time, Ancestar flew down to land beside the group. “Focus! Mobilize your Virtue Creeds! Let your hearts beat even more intensely! Infuse our Virtue Heart Power into Arno!

“I can’t resist Alex alone. Arno must become a Holy Light Knight too!”

With that, Ancestar infused his azure Compassion Holy Light into Arno.

Immediately after, the others infused their creed powers one by one. Arno’s heart pounded louder and more intensely. The disparity in the levels of power infused into him was too great, making it difficult to harmonize for a moment.

Arno tried hard to keep his inner peace. His memories settled slowly, and the door to the past gradually opened—the moment he decided to take Courage as his heart.

A man seemed to turn back with a gentle smile, saying to him, “Arno, you are a boy with the qualities of a hero!”

“Father!”

In his trance, Arno became a child again. He chased desperately, but the man’s back grew blurrier and blurrier.

Ancestar frowned. The situation wasn’t looking good. Arno’s body flashed azure, then golden, occasionally bursting with multicolored light. It looked very bad.

“Maybe the levels of infused power are inconsistent, causing too much chaos?”

Ancestar was unsure, but Alex gave him no time to think. Alex had already pulled out the azure lance and tossed it casually to the ground.

His body was being burned by the Holy Scars, but the power of shadows resisted the burning. Without the source of power—the azure lance—shadow threads gradually appeared in the hole on Alex’s left shoulder, weaving densely to repair his body quickly.

“I admit I underestimated you. Wherever your power comes from, being able to hurt me, Alex, proves your strength. Let me hold a grand funeral for you!”

Alex’s eyes narrowed into slits, flashing with cold light and seriousness. Pitch-black shadows instantly covered the sky and earth. Unknowingly, the environment of the Abyss replaced the surroundings.

This was the unique ability of an Abyssal Projection Lord—creating a small portion of Abyssal Projection even at the Great Demon stage!

On a mountain peak further away from Mt. Baal, the Witch, Sauron, and Ambrio floated in mid-air, quietly watching everything happening at Mt. Baal.

“Ah, esteemed Lady Witch, your admirer seems to be in trouble. He appears to be blocked by some ordinary characters from the High Tower,” Ambrio said lightly in an operatic tone, tilting his head.

“Isn’t that perfect? Let them wear down the demon’s strength. Let the Punishers and the High Tower fight to the death, and finally, High Sin Priest Ambrio can clean up the mess,” the Witch said with a charming laugh, covering her mouth, though a trace of disgust flashed in her eyes.

“If that really happens, it would naturally be a gift of Pain. Would you like to embrace faith in Pain as well?” Ambrio suddenly leaned his head close to the Witch, whispering in her ear.

Sauron punched Ambrio’s mask. Under Sauron’s immense strength, Ambrio’s body didn’t move an inch, but his neck extended instantly like a snake, stretching as if his head were about to fly into the sky.

His long neck spun a few times before returning to his shoulders. Swaying left and right, he bowed elegantly and said, “This is the grace of Pain. Not believing in Pain is your loss. Goodbye, Witch of Lust and loyal guard.”

Watching Ambrio slowly disappear, Sauron asked worriedly, “My Lady, will he pull some tricks again?”

The Witch chuckled lightly, stroking Sauron’s face. “No matter. Whichever of the three sides wins, loses, or even perish, it’s not a bad thing for us. Of course, the best outcome is for the High Tower to survive heavily damaged, but that hope is very slim.”

Sauron nodded. “It’s confirmed. The High Tower’s Torch-bearer, Ace, is the scholar Ace I once knew. I never expected him to establish such a great foundation.”

The Witch’s eyes flickered. She said no more, seemingly recalling something.

In the northern Larr Mountains, Aleias had reached the “City of Protection.” Looking somewhat ragged, she pounded forcefully on the gate of the “City of Protection.”
