Chapter 362: The Times Have Changed

The Heart Fire within Ace’s Mental Imagery World became fierce. The two-fifths of the “Star of Ultimate Evil” was instantly burned down by nearly a quarter. Time anomalies surged and spread continuously. While agilely dodging the attacks of the terrifying giant claw, Ace mobilized the Spell Model in his Mental Imagery World.

That was Ace’s only 4-Ring Spell Model: Fixed-Time Stagnation.

This Spell Model was composed of Level 2.5 Runes , far exceeding the level of Ace’s Mental Imagery World. Time-related Runes were like forbidden knowledge; just replicating the Runes into the Mental Imagery space consumed a vast amount of Mana.

Ace’s lake of Mana was instantly depleted by one-third. Runes carrying time stagnation effects appeared before him, beginning to arrange and combine with the rhythm of Mana.

The Glazed Heart Fire burned furiously, seeming to want to burn everything away, yet also wanting to devour everything. The “Star of Ultimate Evil” was melted bit by bit, and a massive amount of sinful desire merged into the Heart Fire, making it burn even more intensely.

“A miraculous flame capable of devouring a Noble Phantasm. After devouring the Noble Phantasm, will it undergo a miraculous change?”

Standing by the Lake of Mana , Aleias bathed in the heatwaves of the flame. Sweat rained down on her bronzed skin, accentuating her figure.

She murmured softly, gazing with intoxicated eyes at Ace’s True Spirit manipulating the flames. A man’s focus and power were the greatest poison in a woman’s eyes.

The various miraculous powers Ace manipulated appeared incredibly mysterious to Aleias, making her worship Ace even more.

The ocean of Blood Qi in Ace’s Mental Imagery World churned, and vitality surged. Because Mana expenditure exceeded income, he injected vitality into it as well, accelerating the formation of the Rune structure.

Alex felt heart palpitations. Disregarding the cost, he urged the terrifying giant claw, wanting to kill Ace before he used that strange ability. Just then, invisible whispers spread again.

It seemed some disgusting, chilling creature had quietly crawled onto the backs of Ace and Alex. Ace snorted coldly and projected the Glazed Heart Fire outward. With a wail, the creeping sensation vanished.

He didn’t let his guard down and simply enveloped his entire body in Glazed Heart Fire. The Heart Fire was born from the vitality within the body but used desire as a seed; nothing was unburnable to it, and it had a special deterrent force against evil things.

Alex seemed unable to resist. He was a fallen Divine Descendant , and his status as a Pseudo-High Demon carried great risks. More and more creeping things crawled onto his shoulders.

The terrifying giant claw slowly dissipated; that thing seemed to have drilled into Alex’s body. The surrounding invisible whispers grew louder, like a symphony reaching its climax.

Beads of sweat dripped from Ace’s forehead continuously. He was like a man of fire, wrapped in multicolored glazed flames. Various dark shadows gradually spawned on Mt. Baal, making Ace even more uneasy.

He used the 3-Ring Spell “Portal” to make rapid spatial jumps, moving away from there at high speed. Meanwhile, the construction of the 4-Ring Spell “Fixed-Time Stagnation” did not stop. More and more time anomalies appeared, and time around Ace began to slow down.

Further away, the Witch and Sauron lowered their bodies, burying their heads in silence.

A thought hovered in the Witch’s mind: “Legend has it that a Demon Lord is buried here. Could the legend be true?”

Alex roared and cursed, his resistance slowly weakening. He begged for mercy in a faint voice, which finally grew lower until there was no sound.

Ace looked at everything happening with uncertainty. Recalling the whispers from the time of the Monster Tide, he murmured:

“Is there really a Demon Lord buried here?

“If so, having been buried here for so long, this Demon Lord’s power probably isn’t very high. At least it won’t reach the power of a normal Demigod, otherwise He wouldn’t have needed to wait until Alex’s power was exhausted to act.”

Ace observed the situation. Alex seemed to undergo a new change. His expression was hideous, as if struggling with all his might. His entire body shadowified, actually slowly splitting into two Alexes.

One had an expression of lingering fear and uncertainty, the other an expression of indifference mixed with ecstasy.

“I have been sealed for ten thousand years. I didn’t expect your fighting here to be so intense that it actually loosened My seal. Roar!”

A massive shockwave erupted from the center. The Demon Lord seemed to be venting His frustration. Ace’s eyes flickered, and the cowlick on his head shook violently.

“Pale gold mixed with darkness. His strength should still be at the Legend level, otherwise Alex couldn’t have split off!”

Ace made up his mind. Such an unstable factor absolutely could not remain near the High Tower. He looked definitely more troublesome than Alex. While He was still unstable, Ace had to banish them together.

Time anomalies surged. Ace’s hands pointed at the two Alexes. The 4-Ring Spell “Fixed-Time Stagnation” activated. A mysterious circle enveloped the area of the two Alexes.

Ace’s black hair slowly turned mottled white. His Blood Qi had long since dried up. Casting on a target far exceeding expectations damaged the foundation of his vitality, and his lifespan was constantly being consumed.

Boom!

The effect of “Fixed-Time Stagnation” triggered. The time of the two Alexes was delayed by nearly dozens of times, but it wasn’t enough!

The Six-Element Ring behind Ace flew high. Extreme cold wind blew from the Six-Element Ring, freezing the two Alexes.

Freezing delay stacked with time stagnation!

Ace seized the rare moment and activated the 3-Ring Spell “Random Portal.” Sizzle!

Dozens of Random Portals appeared beside the two Alexes. Space became somewhat unstable. The range and targets of the Random Portals shifted constantly, draining Ace’s Mana immensely.

His Glazed Heart Fire burned furiously, striving to extract more Mana from the “Star of Ultimate Evil” as quickly as possible. This effect became increasingly difficult to achieve. Ace didn’t have much time left.

The Mental Imagery World shook violently. The people staying in the villa by the Lake of Mana walked out, looking up at the sky with Aleias. They saw not only the raging Heart Fire but also the terrifying scene outside.

The monstrous black mist was spreading constantly, and hair-raising power was rising. They chose to believe—they could only choose to believe—in the pioneer of the path of magic, the founder of the High Tower, the great firelinker.

“The tinder will never go out!”

Arno suddenly roared loudly. He focused his mind; hatred soared into the sky, merging into the Heart Fire, adding another boost to Ace. The others also followed, contributing their meager power to Ace.

Receiving Arno’s boost, Ace activated the 3-Ring Spell “Unstable Subspace.” Together with the 3-Ring Spell “Random Portal,” they formed Ace’s strongest trump card: ultra-long-distance unstable non-directional teleportation, also known as “Spatial Banishment.”

“Not enough, not enough. This banishment distance isn’t enough. I need to banish them to the Outside of the World in one breath to be at ease. The times have changed, Demons!”
