Chapter 366: Pale Gold
Specks of starlight followed the star projections within the Mental Imagery World, gathering star Mana bit by bit above Ace’s True Spirit. Ace used spells to seal the small fragment of the “Star of Ultimate Evil,” placed the Heart Fire above his head, and calcined and roasted the star Mana.
The exotic star Mana was constantly refined by Ace. The water level of his Lake of Mana was raised bit by bit by the liquefied star Mana.
Time passed slowly. The Wizards and Wizard Apprentices of the High Tower gazed intoxicatedly at the anomaly in the sky. This brilliant starry sky appearing in the daytime was truly a beacon of light on the path of magic.
Betty, who was organizing everyone to debug the defensive magic traps, stopped her work. She murmured softly, “This brilliant starry sky is simply the most beautiful meditation method. Mana fluctuations of this magnitude have raised the mana concentration of almost the entire High Tower. Just looking at it, one can feel the mysterious magic runes contained within. As expected of Lord Ace.”
Eddie watched the sun setting in the west, then looked at the brilliant starry sky. Sensing the extremely active Mana in the surrounding environment, he abruptly sat down and entered a meditative state.
More and more Wizards and Wizard Apprentices entered a meditative state. Ace’s Dream Mist spread unconsciously, connecting with everyone.
The dreamlike crystal sphere atop the West Tower flickered. The mental imprint Ace left within it was activated. A beam of dreamlike brilliance pointed straight at the brilliant starry sky above the Magic Castle, and the Magic Net linked instantly.
Hum!
Everyone’s minds connected, entering a miraculous meditative state. A large number of Mid-level Wizard Apprentices broke through on the spot. Many Advanced Wizard Apprentices saw their mental power scales rise all the way, reaching the critical point of 9 units.
The Mana in Ace’s Lake of Mana gradually overflowed. The Glazed Heart Fire above the True Spirit’s head once again burned the fragment of the “Star of Ultimate Evil,” dispersing the Mana within it into Ace’s Mental Imagery World and absorbing the sin.
“It’s rare for people to gather spontaneously. This state of mental connection is excellent. I can use the Wizards’ Magic Net to deduce my fundamental Spell Models!”
Ace observed everyone’s state. He didn’t use the Magic Net for deduction immediately but continued to maintain meditation, allowing everyone to sustain this rare meditative state.
Most Wizard Apprentices used the Stellar Benefit Hypothesis proposed by Ace to guide their meditation. The best celestial bodies to serve as stars were these brilliant stars. The Stellar Meditation School led by Betty combined knowledge of astrological divination to invent the Natal Star Meditation Method.
They generally selected a star as their Natal Star to resonate more deeply with it. Ace’s “Descent of All Stars” meditation method allowed them to approach their Natal Stars more closely and feel their unique power.
Ace maintained this state, allowing the Advanced Wizard Apprentices to feel the power of their Natal Stars as much as possible. They were the backbone of the High Tower; as long as they were strong enough, a large number of Formal Wizards would inevitably emerge in the future.
The sun gradually set, and stars surrounded the moon. Many stars connected more closely with Ace’s brilliant starry sky. Ace took this opportunity to adjust his dream starry sky while helping the Wizards meditate via the Magic Net, making the projected stars in his Mental Imagery World more substantial.
The runes represented by the stars gradually took shape from fragments. There were over six thousand visible stars in the Inner Plane; Ace took this opportunity to depict all of them into his dream starry sky.
Light surged. Astrology in this world was very backward. Even the Wizards who invented astrological divination hadn’t classified the stars.
“Classifying the stars might be a good next project. The world of mysticism should be studied with mystical means. Even considering it from the perspective of astronomy in my previous life, classifying stars is very necessary.”
Looking at the star-filled sky, Ace’s thoughts wandered for a moment.
The night grew deep, and everyone’s meditation ended one after another. Through the Magic Net, Ace informed them to maintain the mental connection state. He wanted to borrow everyone’s power to deduce his fundamental Spell Models.
The entire High Tower Territory had a population of nearly one hundred thousand, of which the magical population was about one-tenth, or over ten thousand people. The Magic Net composed of these ten thousand people was a high-efficiency biological computer network.
With Ace as the computation commander, assisted by the Spirit of the Book, and four Formal Wizards leading parts of the computation load, the Level 2.5 deduction regarding the three fields of Dream, Manifestation, and Simulation began.
Because Level 2.5 Runes were essential for Golden Heroes, they were also called Golden Runes. This deduction was thus named the Golden Deduction.
Ace dispersed the computation load. From Ace’s perspective, this deduction was holistic and global. From the perspective of the Wizards or Wizard Apprentices at each node, it was fragmented and decentralized.
What they received were mostly direct mathematical calculations or some inexplicable application, but to Ace, these were pieces of a puzzle.
Other Wizards were responsible for depicting the puzzle pieces, while Ace was responsible for assembling these pieces into a whole.
His fundamental Spell Models were the fundamental rules of his Mental Imagery World: Dream, Manifestation, and Simulation.
Ace’s Mental Imagery World became illusory and transparent. Hidden runes began to be exposed. He extracted the most fundamental rune structures from the dream world. Looking at the complex Spell Models surrounded by three colors, Ace fell into deep thought.
“I must separate the three parts for deduction and upgrading. The first step is separation.”
Heaven and earth collapsed in the Mental Imagery World. The dream humans living within cried out that the world was ending. As the collapse continued bit by bit, the entire dream world gradually perished, and the rune structures were revealed within the mental imagery.
Apart from rune structures, Mana, and Glazed Heart Fire, only the fragment of the “Star of Ultimate Evil” and the “City of Protection” remained in Ace’s Mental Imagery World.
The originally colorful and spectacular dream world dissipated like smoke.
Ace spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. Such destruction was no small burden on him.
“No construction without destruction. Since it’s destroyed, the next step is to upgrade the runes!”
Knowledge related to the Level 2 Dream Rune Group flooded into the Magic Net like a torrent, constantly diverting. Each Wizard or Wizard Apprentice in the Magic Net was a computation node. They calculated with all their might, helping Ace deduce while learning fragmented knowledge.
Although this learning was fragmented, for them, being able to touch upon the world of the 3rd and 4th Rings and understand even a scale or claw of it was extremely rare.
When they faced promotion, this scattered knowledge would make their path broader and more secure.
As time passed bit by bit, the relevant runes of the Dream Rune Group were also upgrading little by little, reaching Level 2.5. The deep red runes were dyed with a coat of pale gold, though not yet completely pale gold.
Ace gradually gained enlightenment.
“Runes are the degradation of rules. Upgrading runes means getting closer to the rules of the world. The light of a Great Hero is deep red; the light of a Legendary Hero is pale gold.
“Level 2.5 Runes are deep red draped in a pale gold coat. The Mental Imagery World constructed from this has a golden shell, hence the term Golden Hero.
“If the pale gold can completely permeate, that will be the moment of advancing to Legend on the rune level!”
