Chapter 367: Irregular Figures

Eddie happened to be assigned to the calculation group where Betty was. He was struggling to calculate the left spiral arm sublimation path of Dream #34. Under this type of computational deduction, he gradually realized that Lord Ace seemed to be leading them to use an algorithm they had never seen before.

Regarding this calculation method, Eddie seemed to gain some understanding, yet also seemed to grasp nothing. He urgently wanted to know the entirety of this algorithm.

“Curve, tangent, curve, tangent… irregular figure…”

Betty received a larger Information Flow and had a greater calculation load. She keenly sensed the superiority of this method.

“If we use this method to construct a Spell Model, it seems it could greatly reduce the calculation load and accurately calculate the area of irregular figures…”

This was exactly Ace’s intention. The method he was using was the most important breakthrough in modern mathematics from his previous life: Calculus.

Calculus is dedicated to solving four problems: How to find the tangent of a curve? How to calculate the area under a curve? How to calculate the velocity and acceleration of an object at a certain position? How to find the optimal solution?

These were also the main problems plaguing the Wizards. Ace had already laid the foundation of elementary mathematics for the Wizards , but with the continuous progress of magic, elementary mathematics was becoming increasingly unsuited for the development of Wizards.

Ace used this method to first create anticipation for the new calculation method among the Wizards. Once this crisis was thoroughly resolved, he intended to distribute a epoch-making mathematical masterpiece for free, sharing the knowledge of calculus with all the High Tower Wizards.

Time passed second by second, minute by minute. The entire Magic Net operated at high speed, and the Wizards at every node were calculating at full load.

The Dream Rune Group in Ace’s Mental Imagery World was gradually dyed with a layer of gold. Gold on the outside, red on the inside—it was extremely beautiful and charming.

Finally, the last Dream Rune was also dyed gold. The entire Dream Rune Group advanced to Golden Runes. They rippled happily in the empty Mental Imagery World, and circles of dreamlike illusions spread within.

This illusion drifted out of Ace’s Mental Imagery World , enveloping the entire Nightlight City, draping a golden gauze over the city in the deep night.

Ace switched the deduction target. The Manifestation Rune Group and the Simulation Rune Group were listed in the calculation sequence one after another.

He was not in a hurry. Although the Dream Rune series was the foundation of his path, his path was not simply dreams, but to dreamify all things and refine falsehood into truth!

To dreamify all things, the Simulation Rune Group was essential. To refine falsehood into truth, the Manifestation Rune Group was indispensable.

The sun rose and set; days passed one by one. Relying on this unique meditation environment and gathering the wisdom of everyone, a week passed. The Simulation Rune Group and the Manifestation Rune Group were also dyed with pale gold.

“Dream , Simulation , Manifestation —these are the foundation of my magical path. With this path, I can boldly try various hypotheses. Whether it is an approximation of truth or a wrong turn, it will not lead me to a dead end.

“Even if I truly go down a wrong path, I can disillusion the dream and wake up, then walk a new path.”

Sitting high in the air, Ace opened his arms and disconnected the Magic Net link that had lasted for a week, speaking slowly as he faced the sunrise.

The Wizards woke up from a week of continuous calculation. They were not refreshed like Ace. Instead, because they had been doing terrifying math problems sleeplessly for a week, they were dizzy and their bodies felt weak.

Although the gains this time were significant, the Wizards really couldn’t hold on any longer. For the next few months, they might want to vomit whenever they saw math or irregular figures.

Some people supported each other, some summoned magical pets, and some lay stiffly on Magic Carpets to return to their homes. They just wanted a good sleep right now.

The mortals of the High Tower Territory watched with curiosity and envy. Everyone here was proud to have a Wizard Apprentice in their family. Although many people were not suited for magic, every one of them had a basic understanding of magic. When discussing magic, they beamed with joy, as if they were powerful Formal Wizards.

Ace slowly descended to the top of the West Tower and entered through the window. He needed to reconstruct his fundamental Spell Models. This deduction had only derived the relevant Golden Runes for Dream , Simulation , and Manifestation. The specific construction of the Spell Models still had to be done by himself; the Wizards of the Magic Net were already overburdened.

Aleias was half-leaning against the wall. Because Ace forgot to tell her to rest, she had faithfully performed her duty and hadn’t rested for seven consecutive days.

“You go rest first. Let the West Tower handle the guarding for the rest.”

Ace looked at the hardworking Aleias and said with some sympathy. He decided to try his best to preserve her life when dissecting her in the future. Perhaps he could try to transform her into a Warlock?

However, a Hero had already walked the Path of the Body. Converting to a Warlock would likely be very difficult. Or perhaps he could let Aleias degenerate first; converting from a Level 0 Life should be possible.

Ace expelled these distracting thoughts from his brain. After ordering the West Tower to be sealed and forbidding anyone from entering, he returned to his meditation room.

Just then, Arno walked to the entrance of the West Tower. His power of Hatred was too strong and highly corrosive. He wanted to ask Ace to make him a suit of armor to seal his Hatred Heart Force.

When the spirit of the West Tower told Arno that Ace had already sealed the tower, he could only walk away slowly. He happened to meet Betty , who was coming to the West Tower to see Ace.

Betty was still dizzy. Days of calculation had made even someone with excellent magical and mathematical talents like her feel sick. Betty had been resting, but news came from Milne City-State in the north, forcing her to get up and report to Ace.

“Did Lord Ace seal the West Tower? It seems there are still things that need further deduction. This intelligence isn’t too urgent; I’ll wait another day.”

Betty muttered to herself after hearing Arno’s words. Then she glanced at Arno , who was shrinking his body, and asked, “Do you have business with Lord Ace? And why are you shrinking like that?”

Arno straightened his body. The pressure of Hatred scattered, and the surrounding plants instantly withered and died. Betty also felt a chill all over her body, as if being stared at by a terrifying spirit, and broke out in a cold sweat.

“This is the reason I am looking for Lord Ace. The power of Hatred is too strong. If I don’t control it with all my might, just a slight release of pressure is enough to affect everything around me.

“I wanted to ask Lord Ace to forge a suit of armor to seal my power and help me suppress this force.”

Arno said with a bitter smile.

Betty nodded in understanding. Then, a look of interest appeared in her eyes. This was a rare research topic, a perfect opportunity to learn more about the mysteries of the Knight.

So she puffed out her slightly swelling chest, gently flipped her golden twin ponytails, and asked with sparkling eyes, “Lord Ace doesn’t have time. Why don’t I help you? You should know, I am the High Tower’s most genius expert in Magic Item Enchantment.”
