Chapter 375: Water Drop
High Tower Territory, Nightlight City.
It was early spring. A fine drizzle fell in specks, smoothing out the clamor and desolation of the entire city. The Magic Train roared, sending passengers along the tracks to all corners of the High Tower.
On the towering city walls, magic patterns flashed by. If a Wizard Apprentice sensed carefully, they could discover the faint rhythm of magic power, seemingly held back but containing powerful force.
In the southern part of Nightlight City lay the holy land in everyone’s heart: the Magic Castle.
This was the starting point for the dreams of all those with magical talent, the cradle of Wizard Apprentices, and the residence of the pioneer of the path of magic, the Firelinker Lord Ace.
Arno stood quietly in the sealing room on the third floor of the West Tower, gazing infatuatedly at the two ice coffins. Looking at Ancestar, who was wrapped in black mud but still maintained a charging posture, he felt a wave of sadness in his heart.
“Melancholy Uncle, I’m sorry. I betrayed our path. We can never meet on that path again.”
Arno then looked at Ollie, who seemed languid as if in deep slumber. Her damaged moon-white magic robe, the solidified blood stains on her chest, her pale cheeks, and her perfect figure—all of this was so beautiful that it intoxicated Arno somewhat.
Pitch-black tears flowed from his dark red eyes, and his heart gradually grew firm. It was precisely because that light was so enchanting that he had stepped into the abyss without hesitation.
On the fourth floor of the West Tower, in Ace’s laboratory amidst piles of experimental equipment made of various transparent and opaque magic glass, Ace was busy working.
Not far away, Daina was glaring furiously at Aleias. Aleias twisted her perfect figure and continued watching Ace, causing Daina’s anger to shoot straight to her heart.
The pendant on Daina’s chest was gone, which was the reason she was here. Ace wanted to experiment on and upgrade the pendant, as well as verify certain ideas.
Despite the urgent time, Ace still decided to finish dealing with this matter before heading north. Staring at the pendant, he used the tarun life reagent to test and confirm that the infant inside the pendant had vital signs.
Or rather, this was a life held in abeyance, seemingly lacking some condition and temporarily unable to be activated.
The miniature infant inside this pendant possessed complete bodily functions and organs, as well as a Soul Sanctuary and a shadow of the True Spirit cut by Ace.
Originally, the vital signs of this miniature infant were not very obvious, but after Daina carried it close to her body for a period, the signs became much more distinct.
Through the shadow of the True Spirit, Ace could sense that Daina seemed to have formed a stable connection with the pendant, brewing some kind of change.
“First, upgrade the Soul Sanctuary within it to a Mental Imagery World. I am already a Golden Wizard; I can completely create a quasi-clone existence possessing a Mental Imagery World.”
Thinking this, Ace pressed the pendant close to his forehead.
Hum!
A profound tremor from the soul, a spiritual resonance. Without Ace casting any spell, Daina was sucked over. The two floated around the pendant.
An invisible mental force field spread, gradually forming a terrifying force field that wrapped around the pendant, Ace, and Daina.
Inside Ace’s Mental Imagery World, the True Spirit could hardly remain stable. The pendant generated an extremely strong attraction, seemingly yearning for the True Spirit to enter.
Like a deity in his Mental Imagery World, Ace’s True Spirit cut the false origin of the dream world, separating about one-eighth of its volume. Subsequently, the True Spirit, wrapped in the false origin, surged into the pendant.
Daina also fell into a strange state. Her Soul Sanctuary gurgled out a mysterious substance tinged with pink, wrapping around the pendant and greatly stimulating the vitality within.
It seemed like a catalyst, making the vitality within highly active and causing it to surge into the pendant infant’s Soul Sanctuary.
Ace’s True Spirit descended into the Soul Sanctuary. Massive amounts of false origin diffused here, and the mental scale rose rapidly. In just one minute, it rose to over a hundred units.
The entire Soul Sanctuary began to develop toward a Mental Imagery World. Ace’s True Spirit reenacted the creation of the world, skillfully manipulating earth, fire, wind, and water to construct the Mental Imagery World.
It was like a miniature version of Ace’s Mental Imagery World, possessing all the Foundation Runes and Spell Models, just smaller overall.
Just as he was about to complete it, boundless waves of pink substance poured down from the sky like an overturning ocean. Like the first apocalypse after creation, a surging pink flood covered everything.
Ace’s True Spirit floated in mid-air, quietly sensing all of this.
His mental state was somewhat unstable, and his True Spirit even felt a bit insubstantial. Staring at the surging pink flood, the Eye of Truth (Pseudo) activated.
Peeling away the fog to reach the truth, Ace saw the energy and nature within—love, reverence, and admiration were mixed therein.
“This substantive emotion is very different from faith. The love of mortals for gods is sacred, while this substantive emotion is mundane, yet it possesses even more incredible power.”
Ace’s True Spirit’s eyes lit up. He drew out the surging Blood Qi from his main body and poured it into the pendant infant’s Mental Imagery World. A blood-red ocean poured down, mixing with the pink torrent.
As if a strange magical reaction occurred, a large amount of mist began to rise. Countless phantoms seemed to surge, and the breath of life seemed to permeate the air.
Unique rune structures also gradually appeared but were incomplete.
“It seems catalytic purification is still missing.”
Ace’s True Spirit’s Eye of Truth flickered. He drew out the Heart Fire from his main body’s Mental Imagery World bit by bit. The brilliant Glazed Heart Fire emitted five colors—red, orange, yellow, green, and cyan—appearing extremely enchanting.
Daina’s eyes turned bright white. The gurgling substance seemed to have consumed a massive amount of her magic power, and she had fallen into a coma.
Ace sucked the Heart Fire into the pendant infant’s Mental Imagery World while using the Nourishment Spell to nurture Daina, gradually steadying her breathing.
Time continued to pass. The Heart Fire stood within the pendant infant’s Mental Imagery World, burning fiercely.
Ace’s True Spirit gathered the diffuse steam into a ball and burned it with the Heart Fire. As the Heart Fire refined it, the steam gradually solidified, and a drop of substance with extremely high Mystery appeared.
Crystal clear, made of crystal-like material, pink mixed with blood-red, radiating vibrant vitality and hiding immense power—it was intoxicating.
Ace’s True Spirit stared at this water drop-like substance, shocked and disbelieving. This supernatural substance, difficult to fully understand or deconstruct, was absolutely not a Level 2 existence!
“This is at least a Level 3 existence. It seems exceptionally compatible with this Mental Imagery World. Although I can’t observe it clearly, I can feel the power surging within—that is life, that is creation!”
Ace’s True Spirit tossed it, and the water drop was buried in the bottom layer of the Mental Imagery World, hidden from sight. His eyes flickered, as if he had comprehended something crucial.
The True Spirit returned to the main body’s Mental Imagery World with the Heart Fire. Hundreds of runes circled around him, appearing and disappearing.
