Chapter 376: New Ritual

Ace’s True Spirit seemed to be brewing something, but something was always missing.

After a long time, Ace opened his eyes. Daina had woken up and was looking at him worriedly.

Ace smiled faintly and handed the pendant to Daina.

“Keep wearing it, okay?”

Daina smiled hard and nodded vigorously.

After Daina left, Ace ordered Aleias to guard the laboratory well. He went to the storage room and found Helix’ half-finger. The Eye of Truth (Pseudo) activated.

Hum!

With the enhancement of the 4-Ring Foundation Rune, the Eye of Truth (Pseudo) could barely observe the blurry rune structure within. Although not very clear, Ace could still barely record it.

“The Eye of Truth (Pseudo) is operating at its limit. I can see some tiny parasites and even bacteria, but only down to the cellular level. More microscopic observation is impossible.”

After a long time, Ace closed his eyes and said silently.

He had finished observing Helix’ finger and could confirm that the reason Helix could regenerate from a drop of blood was because he possessed a powerful blessing with a Mystery level as high as Level 3 or above.

“As expected of a blessing granted by a Deity.”

Ace opened his eyes, runes flickering, and murmured in a tone with unclear meaning.

He returned to his Mental Imagery World. Runes flowed around him, appearing and disappearing like notes of life or the gentle caress of a spring breeze. Countless voices seemed to be singing, and sprites seemed to be dancing.

Following the laws, the runes combined bit by bit. A brand-new Spell Model composed of Level 2.5 Runes gradually took shape. Complex and magnificent, it possessed soul-stirring vitality, like a newborn sprout.

Ace held this Golden Spell Model in his hand and slowly buried it deep within his Mental Imagery World. Breaking through the surface of the dream world, he entered the deeper rule zone and placed it atop the Spell Model pyramid.

Boom!

With the return of this Golden Spell Model to its position, the entire Mental Imagery World changed greatly. A powerful vitality and resilience seemed to spread through the Mental Imagery World. After slowly covering the entire Mental Imagery World, it continued to diffuse onto Ace.

Ace opened his eyes. He felt it—this power, this immense power. This Golden Spell Model granted him a tenacious resilience that unified his Mental Imagery World, soul, and body!

He forcefully pulled off one of his fingernails, then activated this Spell Model. The fingernail regenerated and recovered rapidly.

Ace then tried cutting off an entire finger. As long as the Spell Model remained active, the finger would also recover rapidly.

He tried cutting a portion of his soul fragments, and the soul actually recovered rapidly too!

“This characteristic is practically the strongest passive ability. Moreover, the spell model can be freely controlled to turn on and off. It’s too perfect!”

Runes flickered in Ace’s eyes. He covered one of his eyes, and an Eye of Truth (Pseudo) slowly appeared in mid-air, observing his state.

Holding a tiny rune structure somewhat similar to Helix’ severed finger, he had already inscribed it into his body and soul, transforming them. His body’s information was recorded in every cell and every soul particle, greatly restoring his body’s regenerative ability.

“According to the observation and analysis of the Eye of Truth (Pseudo), unless the crucial head is lost, other parts can regenerate quickly. The only problem is that each regeneration consumes my lifespan.

“Although not certain, cell division in my previous life had a limit on the number of times, which was also the limiter of lifespan.

“We don’t know about the soul yet, but regarding cells, the number of divisions will definitely be consumed.”

Ace’s eyes were deep, recalling the unobservable Life Forbidden Zone he had observed. Perhaps after advancing to Level 3 or even higher, he might be able to observe the status of the more microscopic world.

“This 4-Ring spell shall be named ‘Golden Regeneration’. As long as my head isn’t crushed, no one can kill me!”

Ace became more confident about the upcoming trip to the northern city-states. He moved his body, feeling more comfortable and unobstructed. Walking out of the laboratory, he said somewhat boldly:

“To boast a little, even a Legendary Hero would find it hard to crush my head. I have full confidence in this trip to the north!”

Aleias looked at the high-spirited Ace and bowed her head, saying, “Lord Ace, are we heading north now?”

Ace shook his head. The Mental Imagery World behind him manifested, and a golden carpet paved the way straight to Aleias’s feet. Aleias stepped onto the golden carpet and walked into Ace’s Mental Imagery World.

Ace planned to take Aleias with him to the north later. In the entire High Tower, no one knew the situation of the five northern city-states better than Aleias, who had the reputation of “Divine Artisan.”

But now, he had to do another thing first. In the reception room on the first floor of the West Tower, several Advanced Wizard Apprentices were waiting for him.

Su Lu, Warren, Leon, Lucilu, and Logan—the five of them were looking at each other with anticipation.

Ace walked slowly into the reception room. Upon seeing Ace, the group bowed deeply and took off their hats in salute.

Ace said loudly, “Sorry to keep you waiting, gentlemen. I invited the five of you here today to tell you that I will preside over the Formal Wizard promotion ritual for you!”

Hearing this, the five were thrilled. After receiving the Dream Badges, Su Lu and Warren hadn’t dared to ask Ace to preside over the promotion ritual because they both knew Ace had been dealing with the crisis in the north recently.

Unexpectedly, at such a crucial moment, Ace could spare time to preside over their promotion ritual. Su Lu and the others couldn’t help but be happy.

The new Formal Wizard promotion ritual was created by Ace imitating the form of collective linking. Collective linking utilized the entire Magic Net as a foundation. Through tidal-type mental power impacts, it urged Advanced Wizard Apprentices’ spirits to break through their limits and complete the ultimate leap.

Then, by consuming a large amount of vitality food and potions, they replenished the vitality lost by the body and used the spirit to drive the body, breaking through the limit together.

Ace improved this ritual. He used Level 2 Runes as the foundation of the magic array and used Level 2 Rune structures related to mana and mental impact to create tidal-type mental impacts. This effect should be more effective than collective linking.

As for vitality replenishment, Ace also embedded nourishment-type rune structures and used the Level 1 Vitality Replenishment Agent invented by Logan as casting material to promote their breakthrough of the limit.

The five followed Ace to the fourth floor and entered the prepared ritual room. Dazzlingly dense rune structures were arranged intricately, with Level 1 Mana Stones placed upon them.

Ace had the five sit down and activated the entire Formal Promotion Magic Array. Hum!

Ace’s mana surged out, quickly covering the entire magic array. Wave after wave of mental impacts appeared, and the overall mana concentration rose continuously. Su Lu and the others’ mental power had long reached around 9.9 units. At this moment, under the wave after wave of mental impacts, that shackle began to loosen.
