Chapter 395: Golden Light

Inside the Mental Imagery World, Aleias bathed in the brilliant Star Mana of the Lake of Mana, cleansing her Artisan Bloodline bit by bit. Her face was flushed, her expression intoxicated. Wisps of Artisan Bloodline were expelled from her body, and her aura became weaker and weaker. As if breaking some boundary, she seemed to lose all her strength, immersing herself in the Lake of Mana and gradually sinking to the bottom.

Ace’s True Spirit, who was observing the Level 2 Artisan Bloodline, noticed all this. A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth as he whispered, “So the fruit is ripe.”

His expression moved, and the brilliant Star Mana, following his will, slowly lifted Aleias from the bottom of the lake. As the beauty emerged from the lake, her perfect body and bronzed skin glowed with specks of redness under the illumination of the Star Mana. The usually resolute Valkyrie looked soft and delicate at this moment.

Ace’s True Spirit waved his hand gently. Mana transformed into a white robe that draped over Aleias. She woke up slowly.

“Lord Ace, I feel so weak, as if I’ve lost something very important.”

Ace’s True Spirit observed Aleias with the Eye of Truth (Pseudo). His eyes flickered as he whispered, “To lose is to gain more. You lost the bloodline power and fell from the Hero rank, but at the same time, your future path has opened! The path of the warlock lies beneath your feet.”

Aleias, whose strength had dropped to the level of a Quasi-Hero, asked in confusion, “Warlock?”

Ace’s True Spirit smiled and said, “From now on, you are no longer the Divine Descendant Noble Aleias, but the Warlock Aleias who shares the fate of the High Tower.”

Having said that, Ace’s True Spirit condensed mana and pointed gently at Aleias’s glabella.

It was Ace’s mana, acting as a seed to guide Aleias, leading her to her next transformation.

The power of a Quasi-Hero is concentrated in the heart. Ace’s Mana guided the power in her heart, entering the glabella bit by bit, seeking the soul sanctuary that exists between reality and illusion.

As the power from Aleias’s heart poured into her glabella bit by bit, her breathing began to fail. Ace’s True Spirit snapped his fingers. A drop of crystal-clear Blood Qi rose from the surging Sea of Blood Qi, merging into Aleias’s body with vigorous vitality, timely making up for the loss of vitality in her body.

That speck of Ace’s Mana condensed the remaining bloodline power on Aleias, rushing deep into her soul with force. A spark of spiritual light amidst the void burst open with a crash. The Soul Secret Space, which exists in the illusory soul perspective yet is real, opened.

Led by Ace’s Mana, the bloodline power poured into the nascent soul sanctuary , continuously expanding it. In less than a minute, Aleias’s mental scale approached the limit, reaching 9.999 units.

At this step, the bloodline power was exhausted. Through Ace’s guidance, Aleias successfully degenerated from a Hero to a Quasi-Hero and was converted into an Advanced Warlock Apprentice.

Ace sucked out his seed mana. Aleias could not digest this foreign mana; keeping it in her soul sanctuary would be harmful rather than beneficial to her.

Aleias’s breathing gradually stabilized. After this tossing and turning transformation, she finally fell into a deep sleep.

Ace wrapped Aleias in mana and sent her into the lakeside villa.

He condensed the Artisan Bloodline extracted from her body into a crystal-clear, blood-colored transparent small bead and placed it beside Aleias.

True Spirit Ace looked at the sleeping Aleias and whispered:

“This is the bloodline essence extracted from your body. It is the best magic material for you. You can use it as the main ingredient to create your Bloodline Natal Artifact.”

The natal artifact was a new concept of Ace’s. It could be considered a prototype or a degraded version of a Noble Phantasm.

“The Pseudo-Noble Phantasm gave me great inspiration. We Wizards can completely create degraded versions of Noble Phantasms, which are natal artifact. If it’s a Warlock, they entrust their bloodline power into it. If it’s a Wizard, they entrust their specific path into it.

“The so-called natal artifact is the manifestation of one’s specific path direction. The difference from ordinary magic items lies in the fact that this natal artifact is harmonized and integrated with the self. It is the condensation, derivation, and sublimation of one’s own path.”

Ace’s eyes flickered. The characteristic of a Pseudo-Noble Phantasm is simulating the properties of a certain Noble Phantasm to achieve a one-time effect. This ability is certainly strong and fits well with his Dream Manifestation, but his choice went beyond that.

If the source of the characteristic is not another Noble Phantasm but one’s own path, and if one does not seek to achieve the effect of a Quasi-Noble Phantasm but seeks long-term sustained power instead, one can walk a completely different path—a new path of Alchemy!

“Before that, I must promote spell models like the Eye of Truth (Pseudo) to the 4th Ring. I must promote all my main spell models to golden spells to be considered a true Golden Wizard!”

Ace paid no more attention to the sleeping Aleias. His True Spirit floated quietly in the sky of the Mental Imagery World. The Level 2 Artisan Bloodline floated before his eyes, powers of deconstruction and analysis surging and sublimating.

Deep in the bottom layer of the Mental Imagery World, the rune structure of the Eye of Truth (Pseudo) constantly dispersed and reorganized. Ace’s Mental Imagery World gradually linked with “Fantasia,” the hub of the Magic Net. Borrowing the super-strong computing power of the Magic Net, he slowly deduced the Level 2.5 Runes of the Eye of Truth.

Time flew by. Ace didn’t make the High Tower Wizards drop everything to assist him in the deduction; that would affect normal production and life too much. In peacetime, using the Magic Net to deduce slowly was sufficient.

The Spell Model of the Eye of Truth shattered and reorganized countless times. Rune groups for observation, analysis, deconstruction, and so on were dyed pale gold bit by bit. A brand-new spell model, pale gold wrapping deep red, was finally born.

As soon as this Spell Model was born, the wind and clouds in the Mental Imagery Dream World changed, and order and rules seemed to change drastically. Aleias had long since woken up. She was lying on her side by the Lake of Mana, her perfect figure forming a beautiful picture by the lake. Her grimoire floated in mid-air beside her as she half-heartedly studied the Introduction to Wizards.

Thunder roared suddenly in the Mental Imagery Dream World. Not only were the dream humans living in it panicked, but Aleias was also bewildered and uncertain. A giant eye gradually emerged from the void, with layers of runes vying for brilliance within the pupil.

Aleias just looked up at that eye and felt as if she was completely seen through, as if she were standing naked by the lake.

The eye scanned the entire Mental Imagery Dream World once and then slowly disappeared. Ace’s True Spirit emerged. He closed his eyes as if thinking about something. After a long time, he suddenly opened his eyes. Golden light bloomed from his pupils, like the first rays of the nascent sun, illuminating the entire world.

At the same time, Ace, who was meditating, also opened his eyes. Brilliant golden light bloomed, penetrating the layers of walls of the magic castle and scanning the entire territory.
