Chapter 396: Deduction

Almost all wizards sensed those eyes that seemed capable of seeing through and analyzing everything. The golden light didn’t gradually fade until about half an hour later. People looked at the West Tower of the Magic Castle, discussing spiritedly.

Amid, who was studying the basics of magic in the Magic Castle, was even more awed by the golden light. Those eyes that could see through everything were too terrifying. Fortunately, such a powerhouse was an ally, not an enemy.

Inside the meditation room, complicated and gorgeous runes and magical patterns flickered on the walls. Suspended in mid-air, Ace stopped the test, slowly descended, and stood on the cold marble floor of the meditation room.

“The Eye of Truth (Pseudo) has successfully advanced to the 4th Ring. Calling it Eye of Truth (Pseudo) is no longer appropriate; it can be called the Golden Eye of Truth. With these eyes, my ability to deconstruct and upgrade runes has become even stronger.

“Ancestar has been lying in the ice coffin for months. This state of being neither alive nor dead cannot be maintained for long. I must convert him into a Death Knight as soon as possible. But before that, the relevant spell models must be advanced to the 4th Ring!”

Having just completed his advancement, Ace left the meditation room and went to the reception room. He drank a nutrient potion rich in vitality, sat on a chair to enjoy a moment of quiet, and silently contemplated the structure of his spells.

Just then, Arno walked in. He seemed to have just finished visiting the ice coffins. Upon seeing Ace, Arno first bowed forty-five degrees, then said in a humming voice, “Lord Ace, I wonder when Ancestar and Ollie can wake up.”

Ace pulled Arno to sit down and said gently to him, “I can’t guarantee anything about Ollie yet. Perhaps I need to advance to a level equivalent to a Legendary Hero to be confident of waking Ollie without damage. As for Ancestar, once I successfully promote the relevant runes and spell models to the 4th Ring, I can preside over the transformation ritual.”

Hearing Ace’s words, Arno was more or less disappointed. He longed for Ollie to wake up and wanted to pour out his heart to her, but he also knew this kind of thing couldn’t be rushed. He could only nod silently and say, “Then everything depends on you, Lord Ace.”

Ace patted Arno’s shoulder reassuringly and said, “I will definitely do my utmost to wake them up. Ancestar and Ollie bought precious time for me. Without your efforts, Alex might have driven straight in and razed the High Tower to ruins.”

Arno seemed somewhat choked up. Recalling those scenes, his suppressed emotions turned into a heavy kneel. Without saying another word, he entrusted everything to Ace.

After seeing Arno off, Ace watched Arno’s departing figure through the transparent wall, sighed, and returned to the meditation room.

For Ace, the effect of the meditation room was actually not significant. A meditation room constructed based on Level 1 magic stones and Level 1 runes was good for 1st Ring and 2nd Ring wizards, but for the Golden Wizard Ace, it wasn’t quite enough.

Ace slowly floated into the air, murmuring:

“After converting Ancestar and upgrading my spell models, perhaps I need to rebuild my own Wizard Tower. As for how exactly to do it, I still need careful consideration.”

His mind slowly immersed into the mental imagery dream world. His True Spirit slowly descended, golden pupils scanning the dream world, with Glazed Heart Fire burning fiercely above his head.

“There is still a last bit of the Star of Ultimate Evil. Let the Heart Fire digest it completely.”

Having said that, the Glazed Heart Fire drifted away from the top of his True Spirit’s head, burning the fragment of the Star of Ultimate Evil sealed in the sky. Evil thoughts and mana were decomposed bit by bit. The Heart Fire was the fire of desire; these evil thoughts were the best fuel for the Heart Fire, making the Glazed Heart Fire burn even more vigorously.

The Heart Fire flickered, seeming to brew some kind of change, and its glazed color became brighter.

True Spirit Ace pondered and said aloud, “To convert Ancestar into a true Death Knight, ensuring the effect requires 4th Ring spell models of the Negative Energy series. In that case, I might as well promote the six elements to Golden Spell Models in one breath, and then promote the runes related to the undead transformation ritual to Golden Runes as well.”

After determining his line of thought, True Spirit Ace hesitated no longer. He penetrated the layers of barriers in the dream world and entered the bottom layer of the world, deep into the pyramid of rune structures. This was where the rules of the dream world lay; for the dream world, this was the Great Source!

By the Lake of Mana, Aleias rubbed her eyes. Ace’s figure flashed past. She continued reading her magic book, especially Elementary Mathematics and Logic, with more and more question marks forming in her brain.

At the bottom layer of the dream world, True Spirit Ace extracted the Six-Element Ring spell model. The entire dream world shook violently; its material foundation was shaken at this moment. The dream world floated somewhat precariously, as if a mutation was about to occur.

The dream lifeforms living within it were even less able to understand this change. Being in a lower dimension, they found it difficult to observe the reality of this world, only vaguely sensing that a huge change was about to happen.

True Spirit Ace carefully held up the Six-Element Ring spell model, letting it float slowly above the rune pyramid. His eyes flickered with colorful runes, and golden light bloomed.

The mental imagery dream world communicated with the Ace imprint in “Fantasia” atop the West Tower. Borrowing the massive computing power of the Magic Net, he began to deduce the advanced spell of the 3rd Ring Six-Element Ring.

Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Life, and Death—the six elements surged, seeming to communicate with the unseen natural world. This feeling was wonderful. The natural world was originally like chaos, but after Ace divided it into the six elements of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Life, and Death, the entire natural world seemed to be redefined by these six elements. In Ace’s vision, all matter seemed expressible by the six elements.

“This feeling is so perfect—perfect to the point of being unsettling. The Six-Element Theory is just a hypothesis without solid experimental basis. Fortunately, my foundation doesn’t lie here either. If magic research goes deeper, perhaps…”

Various thoughts surfaced in Ace’s mind. The chemical elements, various molecular and atomic structures from his past life seemed to appear in his brain. For a moment, the Six-Element Ring in his hand flickered, seemingly about to disintegrate immediately.

Ace steadied his mind, no longer thinking about elements or the knowledge from his past life. But the seed had been planted. He believed that sooner or later, he would need to uncover the black box of the microscopic world and pry into the truth within. But for now, for the sake of increasing his strength, Ace needed to stabilize the Six-Element Ring spell model.

The world is so miraculous. How you think seems to determine the feedback you get. Or perhaps, any theory is an approximation of the world’s truth, and the only criterion for judgment is the degree of precision.

The data flow of the High Tower Territory’s Magic Net increased significantly. “Fantasia” atop the West Tower bloomed with magnificent brilliance. The spell model in True Spirit Ace’s hand constantly dispersed and adjusted, the internal runes being dyed pale gold bit by bit.
