Chapter 397: Supernatural Integration

First, the Earth Element series of runes blossomed with a pale golden splendor. Runes such as earth element, hardness, composition, mass, and gravity all advanced from level 2 runes to golden runes. After all the Earth Element runes were promoted to golden runes, massive computing power continued to deduce, and the Fire Element, Water Element, and Wind Element series of runes were constantly renewed and all promoted to golden runes.

Nearly half a month had passed. Ace’s mental power was mostly depleted. He stopped, closed his eyes to meditate, recovering his mental power and mana bit by bit.

After about half a day, Ace opened his eyes, a brilliant light bursting forth. His state had recovered, and he continued to deduce the most important two elements: Life and Death.

Life and Death were actually not elements in the conventional sense. Even without Life and Death, the four elements of Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind were sufficient to cycle through all things. Introducing Life and Death was more of a fusion and supplement.

“Life and Death are the hardest to decipher. Calling them the Life Element and Death Element is actually a helpless approximation when one cannot delve deeply into their reality.”

True Spirit Ace sighed while communicating with the vitality of the world. The advancement of the Life Element seemed particularly difficult.

He pondered for a long time. Not long after, he walked out of the West Tower, concealing his own splendor and transforming into an ordinary intermediate wizard apprentice, walking through the bustling streets and alleys.

He concealed the golden light of the Eye of Truth. Just like that, he wandered around the city, feeling the vitality, the noise, and the loneliness. Threads of degraded rules were captured by the Eye of Truth, and the series of runes concerning vitality sublimated bit by bit in Ace’s mental imagery world.

“I have comprehended the vitality of the city. The Eye of Truth is indeed miraculous, penetrating the traces of rules existing among the crowds. But this is not enough; I need more.”

Ace was not satisfied. The runes of the Life Element series were far from being fully promoted. He walked out of the city and entered the valley after the rain, feeling the faint fragrance of the green grass. He transformed into a fish, accompanying the water and the waves, sniffing the salty smell of seaweed, and playing with the ocean’s predators.

He leaped out of the sea, soaring in the sky with seagulls. His state of mind unknowingly broadened, and he captured more and more traces of rules wandering in nature.

More than a month had passed since Ace left the West Tower. During this period, Betty, Arno, Daina, and others looked for Ace multiple times but found no trace of him. Betty wanted to report her drafted cooperation proposal to Ace, Arno wanted to know the progress of converting Ancestar, and Daina simply wanted to see Ace and chat with him.

While they were waiting in the living room, a figure walked into the West Tower. He was so ordinary, seemingly merged with nature and coexisting with all things. Every step seemed to land on the drumbeat of life. Just a few strides made them feel a rich vitality.

Daina’s eyes burned. Her red lips parted slightly as she shouted with a hint of a sob, “Lord Ace, is that you?”

The person who came was indeed Ace. After seeing everyone, his ordinariness vanished, revealing his sharpness. The vigorous vitality and the majesty that was difficult to look at directly made everyone understand that Ace had become even stronger.

“I went to observe and research natural vitality and gained a little something. I didn’t expect more than a month to pass. Arno, the preparations for Ancestar’s conversion and recovery aren’t ready yet. Be patient. Betty, Daina, what business do you have?”

Hearing Ace’s words, Betty jumped off the silver disc, took a step forward, and glanced at Daina.

Daina bowed to Ace and said, “I just haven’t seen you for a long time, my Lord, so I wanted to come and visit.”

Betty then said, “Regarding how to cooperate with the Fire Stealer Alliance, I already have a preliminary draft and would like to report to Lord Ace.”

After hearing their words, Ace spoke a few words of encouragement to Daina and Arno, then let them leave first, leaving Betty alone.

The soft light orb in the living room emitted a cool light, illuminating Betty’s exquisite face. She bowed slightly to Ace and said:

“Lord Ace, during this month and a half, I have had multiple contacts with members of the Fire Stealer Alliance and found that they share many common thoughts with us.

“I believe the advantage of the Fire Stealer Alliance lies in their expertise in supernatural mechanical research, while our advantage lies in the comprehensiveness of our path. Both sides can strengthen cooperation and send delegations to learn from each other.

“We can exchange some basic supernatural knowledge and constantly strengthen academic exchanges. We can subtly infect them with our wizard ideology, making them accept the objective and neutral spirit of research, and unknowingly identify with our thoughts.

“Only ideological identification makes for the firmest allies. In the future, as we wizards develop faster and faster, they might even merge with us!”

Listening to Betty’s words, Ace nodded. He believed Betty’s basic thinking was very correct. If Ace hadn’t appeared, the Fire Stealer Alliance would have been the only armed academic group of non-bloodline users researching the supernatural in the entire Salia region.

In a sense, Ace’s appearance accelerated and strengthened this process, greatly changing the balance of power.

“I agree with your basic thinking. We must adopt the same attitude and strategy towards the Fire Stealer Alliance and similar organizations in other regions in the future: ideological assimilation and limited knowledge sharing. We will use the advantage of our superior path to slowly unite them around us!”

Looking at Ace’s determined eyes, Betty said with agreement and slight excitement:

“Yes. Path, ideology, and knowledge—these three are the keys for us to attract all other non-bloodline users and those with thin bloodlines. As long as we High Tower Wizards maintain our vitality at all times, as long as we constantly innovate in theoretical and applied research internally, the future belongs to us, and everyone will unite around us!”

Ace’s magic robe whistled with the surge of mana. He said to Betty in an affirmative tone:

“Do it according to this idea. Slowly finalize the details. You can use your badge to freely deploy all personnel up to advanced wizard apprentices. I will give your plan my utmost support.”

Surprise appeared in Betty’s eyes. She indeed needed more manpower to handle this matter specifically. Her white teeth unconsciously bit her lower lip as she said in a slightly sharp voice:

“Lord Ace, I want to establish a specialized agency under the Magic Council responsible for handling relations with the Fire Stealer Alliance and similar organizations. The goal is to unite them around our High Tower and follow our path.”

Ace nodded with some approval and said with interest, “That’s a good idea. I propose naming this agency the Department of Supernatural Integration and Liaison. This agency will report directly to the Magic Council, and you will be the first minister. In the future, when contacting organizations similar to the Fire Stealer Alliance, this agency will be fully responsible.”

Betty nodded vigorously and said, “Lord Ace, I want my father, the former Chief Magistrate, to assist me.”
