Chapter 406: Meteor
“From now on, it can be called the Root Golden Spell ‘Golden Element Ring.’ From this, the Golden Spells ‘Golden Disintegration,’ ‘Elemental Annihilation Sphere,’ and ‘Elemental Creation’ can be derived.”
True Spirit Ace sat high atop the pyramid, speaking elegantly and majestically.
The Golden Element Ring emerged above his head behind him. Earth, fire, wind, water, life, and death were interwoven, simple yet ever-changing.
Ace’s figure gradually faded, disappearing into the depths of the mental imagery world and appearing on the surface layer of the mental imagery world. The entire mental imagery world was shaking violently, and the reflection mental imagery world attached to it was even setting off monstrous waves.
The humans of the dream world once again faced an apocalyptic judgment. While Ace saw the changes here as tremendous progress, to the dream humans living within, it was indeed an incomprehensible and unstoppable disaster.
Ace did not intervene, nor did he stop it. In this dream world, he was the only god, the creator. Except for the area near the Lake of Mana, which was real and aloof from worldly strife, everything else was illusory.
Unless truly manifested, these lives were all dream bubbles, fleeting and transient.
In fact, for the vast majority of Level 2 lives, even if they had a mental imagery world, it was only an illusion, hardly having real space.
Because Ace had inscribed space-related runes into the bottom layer, it possessed partial reality. His mental imagery world was divided into three parts: real space, rule bottom layer, and dream surface layer.
When manifesting the dream, a large amount of mana was consumed to manifest the illusory dream surface layer, covering reality.
True Spirit Ace quietly watched the vicissitudes of the dream world without a trace of emotion in the corners of his eyes. He turned his head and looked at Aleias by the Lake of Mana, who was listening to his clone explain what logic was with a frown and a pouting mouth. A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
People might smile knowingly at things around them, but it is difficult for them to feel for existence across dimensions.
After the mental imagery world stabilized, Ace opened his eyes. He flew out of the limestone cave in the barren mountain, quietly gazing at the serene night sky. The bright moon shed silver light, making the town of Baird even more tranquil.
Ace looked down at this self-sufficient kingdom and suddenly felt emotional:
“I call myself the Firelinker of the supernatural, yet I have also raised the prelude to great changes. The mortals living here in peace may not necessarily need my revolution. Although they have no supernatural abilities, as long as they do not touch taboos, the Divine Descendants will still protect them.
“For mortals, perhaps without the rise of wizards, life would be more comfortable and peaceful.”
Ace spiraled in the air around the town of Baird and continued:
“But I must still sow the seeds of fire, because I have opened my eyes. I have walked out of the cave. I can no longer be like the bound people in the allegory of the Cave, taking shadows as the reality of the world.
“Therefore, whether you welcome it with open arms, reject it with anger, or wait numbly, change will eventually descend. And before that, there must always be someone to pioneer the way for the king!”
Ace’s eyes were cold. The sea of blood qi in his mental imagery world churned. Drops of blood qi essence condensed into crystal-clear, pure rubies, floating in the sky of the mental imagery world.
At the bottom layer of the mental imagery world, dense dream mist slowly rose, infecting those rubies and dyeing them with dreamlike colors.
Ace inscribed the basic knowledge of the Warrior’s path into the blood qi gems and attached screening conditions, ensuring the gems would not open for anyone possessing power beyond the mortal limit.
He wanted to sow the seeds of revolution in Byrne’s territory, creating ripples one after another.
The bright moon hung in the sky; there were no clouds and no wind. Ace raised both hands high. Blood qi gems emerged above his head one by one. Nearly three hundred blood qi gems twinkled like stars as mana gathered and pulsated there.
Ace’s top hat was gone. His silver-white hair moved automatically under the mana without wind. His magic robe whistled. His cool and resolute voice was not loud, but it seemed to strike directly at people’s hearts.
“Perhaps countless people will die because of this. Perhaps a few will walk onto unknown divergent paths because of this. Perhaps a very few will ascend to the peak. Perhaps many will face destruction.
“This sin belongs to me. This disaster belongs to me. This glory also belongs to me. I am the source of all this. I am the human who walked out of the cave. I will break these shackles, even if it creates more slaughter, even if there are more sacrifices.
“Man is the measure of all things!”
Dark clouds suddenly covered the place. Demons seemed to be roaring, devils seemed to be tempting, elves seemed to be pleading, and gods seemed to be laughing.
More than three hundred blood qi gems turned into a red meteor shower, sowing and covering the entire Byrne territory and even neighboring territories. Ace’s mana surged, and the Invisible Concealment spell covered all the blood qi gems. Unless a Legendary existence was prying, no one would likely discover this grand sowing of fire seeds!
The blood qi gems became dusty, turning into stones that looked very smooth, rolling into various corners where mortals gathered. Occasionally, naughty children picked them up, played with them for a while, and put them down again. Some were kicked into stinking ditches by people, ignored by everyone.
A few were picked up by curious people and taken home. The blood qi gems glowed slightly, seeming to affirm the identity of the other party. Only ordinary mortals had the chance to participate in the trial of the blood qi gems, but not everyone could pass the dream trial.
Ace had set up a screening in the dream. Only by passing the dream trial could one obtain the qualification to cultivate the path of the Warrior.
…
While Ace was deploying the fire seeds, Luna was fighting a hungry wolf in the wilderness late at night. She had stolen a fat chicken from the village chief’s house. Her actions were not secretive and were discovered by the villagers. Eventually, she was driven out of the village. Homeless, Luna had to wander around the village.
This was extremely cruel for an eleven or twelve-year-old girl. Expelling her from the village was equivalent to killing her. But she was not an ordinary little girl after all. Luna, who had already activated blood qi, far surpassed the limits of mortals.
Although she didn’t know fighting techniques, relying on supernatural speed, reaction, strength, and flexibility, Luna successfully survived in the wilderness.
Today, she actively sought out the wolf. This fellow was just an ordinary beast, not a monster. Although powerful, Luna was seventy percent confident she could defeat it.
Luna was on all fours, like a ferocious cheetah. pouncing, flipping, swinging, charging, retreating, and scissoring. After several rounds of fighting, she concentrated her blood qi in her right hand. The blood qi almost turned into a sharp blade, instantly piercing the hungry wolf’s neck.
The wolf flailed a few times, its breathing slowly failing before her eyes.
Luna tore and bit at the wolf’s neck like a beast, sucking the fresh blood from it. Her lips and teeth were full of bloody smell. Her blood qi surged, rapidly digesting the fresh blood and converting it into thin blood qi. This scene was seen by a hunter from Luna’s original village. The hunter raised his bow and arrow for a long time, but finally did not shoot, turning around and leaving.
The next day, rumors spread in the village that Luna had been tempted by the devil and had become a beast that drank blood and ate raw meat.
