Chapter 449: Laws
The “Calamity Sword Constellation” constructed from dream stars slowly detached from the real Calamity Sword Constellation. The thirteen dream stars were filled with Great Source Essence. Resonating with the real stars, they rapidly transformed into Noble Phantasms and became permanently solidified.
Interpreted through the lens of information, the dream stars had completed dimensional ascension, becoming Celestial Noble Phantasms capable of permanent existence in the real world.
These thirteen Star Noble Phantasms exhausted all of Ace’s remaining Great Source Essence, condensing into an extremely powerful Star Noble Phantasm. The dream starry sky manifested behind Ace, and the thirteen stars returned to Ace’s mental imagery world, bringing with them the three domains of Calamity, Ominousness, and Slaughter simultaneously.
The white light in Ace’s eyes gradually faded. He activated Ultra-Long Distance Teleportation and left quickly. About half an hour later, he returned to the West Tower of Nightlight City. He quickly entered a meditative state, sinking his mind into his mental imagery world.
Ace’s True Spirit appeared in the dream starry sky, transforming into a giant. The Calamity Sword Constellation formed by the thirteen stars instantly turned into a brilliant Calamity Sword, grasped in the giant’s hand.
The giant’s voice resounded through the entire dream starry sky world: “This Noble Phantasm is a Celestial Noble Phantasm, also known as a Star Noble Phantasm. When the thirteen Star Noble Phantasms unite, they become the Noble Phantasm ‘Calamity Sword.’ Its hilt represents Calamity, its guard represents Ominousness, and its blade represents Slaughter!”
Accompanying the voice, the “Calamity Sword” formed by the star group shone brilliantly. Each star was a standard Legendary Noble Phantasm. When combined, they became a Peak Legend, a permanently solidified Epic Noble Phantasm!
Ace was very satisfied with this Constellation Noble Phantasm. When used individually, each Star Noble Phantasm was a small sun possessing terrifying energy and carrying the additional effects of Slaughter, Calamity, or Ominousness. If used in combination, they would instantly become a permanent Epic Noble Phantasm, capable of injuring Demigods and slaying Legends!
“If one day I can upgrade every star to a permanent Epic Noble Phantasm, the ‘Calamity Sword’ formed by the star group might break through the limit and become a Demigod Noble Phantasm.”
Ace’s True Spirit eyes flickered with wisps of white light, seeming to look forward to the future.
The next day, the Magic Council Review Committee unanimously passed the publication of the latest issue of the Magic journal. The entire issue had only one content: Ace’s Magical Laws of Motion.
Half a month had passed since the anomaly of that night. The High Tower Territory had also been renamed Thoth City-State. A blood descendant of Thoth with thin bloodline, Amisa Thoth, had arrived in the city-state a few days ago. She was very pretty, with an oval face, innocent eyes, thin lips, a tall and small nose, and an elegant figure. Her only defect was that her chest was completely flat.
When Amisa arrived, Ace was not there. It was also today that, under Ace’s supervision, she swore an oath at the Temple to become the King of Thoth City-State, strictly abiding by the contract concluded between the Demigod and the Firelinker Ace.
In fact, Amisa, who only had the strength of a Quasi-Hero, was powerless to fight for anything. The reason she was chosen by Thoth was simple: she lacked ambition and was content with the status quo.
She always kept the Ancestor God’s words in mind: “You are my blood descendant and represent me to rule here. You only need to strictly abide by my contract with Ace and serve the Temple. You don’t need to worry about other things, nor should you.”
So she was more like a symbol, living in the newly built Royal Palace behind the Temple, serving as a symbol of the city-state transformation of the High Tower Territory.
Shortly after the coronation ceremony, Amisa put on a magic robe and walked onto the streets. This city was very vibrant, and she liked it very much. Although people didn’t care much about her, Amisa still fell in love with this place because there were too many delicious foods, too many fun things, and too many novel sights.
This was an experience that would absolutely not exist in other city-states. The wizards with their numerous methods, the knights practicing hard, and the warlocks with surging bloodlines made Amisa feel a distinct difference.
Ace arranged for the advanced wizard apprentice Eddie to be specifically responsible for accompanying Her Majesty the Queen of Thoth City-State. The young Amisa put on no airs and said happily to Eddie:
“Maybe I can also become a warlock. As a Divine Descendant, my future on the path of a Hero is too bleak. Perhaps I can become a bloodline warlock, join the Magic Council, and learn magic!”
The shocking idea hovered in Amisa’s mind. Eddie did not speak; he was not qualified to decide this matter, but he silently memorized it, preparing to report it to the Magic Council.
They walked on the street. Eddie introduced the city to the Queen politely and with distance. Amisa looked cheerful, but suddenly she noticed that the wizards seemed to be facing a formidable enemy.
Every one of them had an extremely solemn expression, seriously discussing things like differential calculus, derivatives, derived functions, and integrals. They held a thick book as if holding a bomb, their expressions seeming to contain both longing and fear.
Amisa felt that the atmosphere was wrong. A very strange atmosphere permeated Nightlight City, like the solemnity and gravity of believers martyring themselves for a Deity. She looked a little fearful and asked worriedly, “What’s going on? I feel that the wizards look a bit strange.”
Amisa looked at Eddie and suddenly realized that Eddie’s expression was so similar to other wizards. She couldn’t help but take a step back.
Eddie bowed apologetically and said, “I am very sorry, Your Majesty. The reason we are so fearful and expectant is that theoretical innovation has appeared again.”
Amisa tilted her head, somewhat puzzled.
Inside the hall of the Magic Castle, advanced wizard apprentices were opening the Magic journal in their hands with solemn expressions. Bruce, Eva, and Allen looked extremely grave. They had already disintegrated their Natal Stars, yet they still dared not open this journal which was said to hide the secrets of object motion.
Gulp!
The chubby Bruce seemed unable to stand the tense atmosphere. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, gritted his teeth, and opened the Magic journal in his hand. What came into view was a paragraph.
“Truth is relative and has its applicable scope. Once the scope is exceeded, truth will also become fallacy. The applicable scope of this book is not universal, nor does it represent the full picture of the world’s reality. It is only applicable to the macroscopic, low-speed world. —— Ace”
Bruce pondered the meaning of this sentence while subconsciously flipping through the pages.
“Undoubtedly, the Three Laws of Motion and the Law of Universal Gravitation in Magical Mechanic correctly explain the laws of celestial movement. It is a ladder for us to understand the world. Although it has its applicable scope, for most people, this scope is difficult to exceed. —— Bayen”
Cold sweat flowed down Bruce’s face unconsciously. Three Level 2 Wizards had all left comments here. He could feel what precise laws the new theory had discovered.
Turning to the main text, familiar calculus, familiar symbols, and discussions on limits appeared. Ace stated the Three Laws of Motion straight from the beginning and proved them with a brief introduction to calculus.
Bruce’s breathing became somewhat rapid. The fat on his face trembled slightly. His emotions were uncontrollable, and he involuntarily spoke out: “The Three Laws of Motion…”
