Chapter 476: Crystalline

Besides this, the Astral Plane also had terrible Astral Whirlwinds. Although called “wind,” in Ace’s understanding, it was more akin to a chaotic energy flow that would destroy everything it encountered.

A trace of worry flashed through Ace’s eyes. Lying beside the Mana Lake, his mood was complicated:

“The most important point here is that traversing the Astral Plane requires an extremely strong body to serve as the hull. The body of a giant dragon is far stronger than other existences of the same level, so they can cross the void with a Demi-god body. But other Level 4 existences might struggle to cross the void, let alone me, a Level 3 existence.

“Not to mention Astral Predators or natural disasters like Astral Whirlwinds, even if the travel through the void is safe, the most terrifying thing about Astral Travel is having no supplies, leading to absolute death amidst hopelessness.”

His figure instantly shuttled through the vacuum of the dream world’s starry sky. He retrieved the thirteen hidden Star Noble Phantasms “Calamity Sword” and pondered.

“Right, I still have the Quasi-Noble Phantasm ‘City of Protection’. I haven’t fully analyzed this Noble Phantasm yet. It’s a good time to deconstruct it completely and reinforce my defense. But even with the strongest defense at Level 3, I’m afraid it won’t be enough to cross the void. I must think of a good way!”

But a solution couldn’t be thought of instantly. Ace’s eyes gradually turned into the “Eye of True Knowledge.” White light flickered, and an ancient small city appeared before him.

Under the roasting of the Glazed Heart Fire, the internal structure of the small city was gradually revealed. As the white light swept across, crystal-clear Level 3 Runes appeared beside Ace.

The time flow in the dream world was extremely fast. Ten days in the real world passed in the blink of an eye, while a hundred days had already passed in the dream. The chubby Bruce finally logged back into the dream world. This time, he didn’t have the option to be born directly.

“What? You must reincarnate as a baby?”

In Allen’s villa, Eva couldn’t help but spray water onto Bruce’s chubby face.

Bruce wiped his face expressionlessly, looking at the two laughing people with wooden eyes.

Allen quickly restrained his expression, and Eva also covered her mouth, apologizing repeatedly.

The atmosphere was deadlocked for a moment, and then they burst into laughter.

Allen said with unimaginable amusement: “From now on, it’s Baby Bruce. Come on, call me Uncle?”

Eva said after laughing: “It seems one cannot die easily. The price is not small.”

Bruce said expressionlessly: “It’s okay. Born in an orphanage, growing one year of age every day until eighteen. The profession cannot be changed; it will be fixed as the Wizard Profession. The name will change.”

Allen wanted to tease Bruce more, but seeing his chubby face turning green, he couldn’t help but close his mouth.

Eva changed the subject: “The woman you asked us to pursue last time escaped. She seems to have taken a kind of supernatural reagent called ‘Blood Source Reagent’ that has become popular in the City of True Knowledge recently. Her strength exceeds the limit of ordinary people.

“Allen was careless and seriously injured by her. I was anxious to send Allen for treatment, and when I looked again, she was nowhere to be found.”

Bruce showed an interested look. He stuffed two bottles of Level 1 Pure Frost Potion into their hands: “No matter what, you helped. Allen almost died in the dream. Please accept these two potions.

“What is that ‘Blood Reagent’?”

Eva and Allen did not stand on ceremony. Eva said: “We do need it, so we won’t be polite. When you grow up in the dream world, we will explore together and look for this woman by the way.

“As for the ‘Blood Source Reagent,’ I heard it is a supernatural reagent with side effects created by Polina and Caroso. Taking it allows one to gain the power of blood and transform, but there are many sequelae.

“They seem to be continuing this experiment in the dream world. I heard it is related to bloodline fusion.”

Bruce nodded. Experiments involving Official Wizards, even in the dream world, were very secretive matters. Prying recklessly might lead directly to enmity.

“Then let’s ignore that woman Elena for now. Let’s improve our strength in the dream world first, make our strength match our reality as soon as possible, and accumulate more combat experience.

“It’s just a woman in a dream anyway. It doesn’t matter.”

While they were talking, in the “Fantasia” dream world, Caroso and Polina, who had advanced to advanced wizard apprentices, were capturing Blood Crows. They had attacked the Blood Crows many times, and this time they caught the entire flock in one net.

“Not only did we complete the task of the Magic Council, but we also gathered a Blood Crow tribe. It’s simply a huge profit!”

Polina’s eyes were as bright as stars as she spoke loudly.

Caroso smiled slightly with his handsome face: “And we captured a total of three mutated Blood Crows with strength equivalent to advanced wizard apprentices. There must be Level 0 Runes on the mutated Blood Crows. As long as we can crack the Soul Runes, we might obtain the ladder to Blood Magic!”

Talking and laughing, the two returned to their residence.

One hundred days had passed in “Fantasia.” The two also bought a small manor on the outskirts of the City of True Knowledge, specifically to raise Blood Crows. All Blood Crows were contracted with Caroso through a contract magic circle, becoming contracted magical creatures.

After contracting the newly captured Blood Crows, the two entered the laboratory in the manor. Dark red magic circles, jars and glass vessels, several microscopes, and three mutated Blood Crows staying quietly were there.

Caroso put a mutated Blood Crow into the center of the magic circle, then embedded eight Level 0 Magic Stones into the magic circle respectively. Caroso and Polina sat opposite each other and activated the magic circle.

The magic circle slowly became crystalline blood red, and mana pulsed gradually. Caroso’s thoughts subconsciously wondered:

“To think there would be such a realistic magic reaction. And the feeling of opening the Soul Sanctuary when I advanced to advanced apprentice… although there are slight differences from reality, it is incomparably real.

“If junior wizard apprentices experience the process of advancing to intermediate and advanced levels here, it should be greatly beneficial to their promotion in reality!”

Just as Caroso was letting his imagination run wild, the entire magic circle was fully activated. Under the pulsing of mana, Soul Runes (Level 0 Runes) began to emerge on the mutated Blood Crow.

Caroso stopped his wandering thoughts, seriously observing and replicating the Soul Runes one by one, his eyes getting brighter and brighter.

Time passed in the blink of an eye. Ten days had passed in the “Fantasia” dream world. The spirited Caroso said to the exhausted Polina: “Success! The basic spell model of Level 0 Blood Magic has been constructed!”

Caroso’s blood steamed all over his body, actually making sounds gradually. He extended his hand, and mana-rich fresh blood sprayed out, actually corroding the floor.

Caroso waved his hand again, and the blood actually squirmed on its own, like a living thing.

He experimented with a few more functions and frowned slightly: “The effect of Blood Magic seems to be much inferior to the ability of the mutated Blood Crow. What is the reason?”
