Chapter 500: Rhythm

Four burly guards immediately stepped forward, pushing and shoving the two as they bound them, dragging them outside the palace to be beheaded.

Samus struggled with all his might, but to no avail. He clearly possessed Legendary-level strength, yet at this moment, he had no power to fight back. This was the terror of the Drama Domain.

If Samus were not Ronamos’s son, it wouldn’t be this effective. But with this relationship, the script was already written. As long as there was no external force, everything would play out according to Ronamos’s script.

Just then, a curl of melodious sound suddenly drifted in. Pink mist shrouded the palace, and a graceful beauty whose figure could not be seen clearly seemed to be rebuking coquettishly.

Ronamos, who was sitting high on the throne, suddenly turned livid and spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. The palace vanished, and Samus and Tedus had also disappeared. Ronamos stood in the Snow Country, his expression fluctuating uncertainly.

After a long time, He squeezed a sentence out through his teeth: “Prince of Lust, worthy of being a Prince of Hell comparable to a Main God.”

With a leap, Ronamos returned to the temple in Medimus City-State. The statue of the Goddess of Elegance bloomed with magnificent light, and a ball of divine power floated out, blessing Him.

The voice of the Goddess of Elegance seemed to echo in Ronamos’s ears: “My son, do not take it to heart. We must hold the city-state now; this is the resource for you to become a god. Put aside the matter of Samus and Tedus for now. Go to Tsmali personally and ask Pontos for help.”

Ronamos nodded. He was a newly advanced Demigod and could hardly compare with a veteran Demigod like Pontos. If he had Pontos’s help, coupled with the blessing of the Goddess of Elegance, it might not be impossible to expel Dorkabach’s projection again.

Ronamos walked out of the temple, went to the palace to give Arnold and Dikens a few instructions, then turned into a stream of light and flew towards Tsmali.

…

At the same time, Peter looked up at the sky, watching the stream of light, feeling uneasy in his heart.

He was over eighty years old and was originally old and frail. Thanks to Ace’s help, he had embarked on the supernatural path. The Path of the Warrior was not easy to walk. Although Peter had been on the battlefield when he was young and had killed dozens of barbarians, counting as valiant, the key to the path of warrior lay in blood energy.

He was not a young man; his blood energy was naturally insufficient, and he had little lifespan left. If not for that drop of blood energy left by Ace, he would probably have had difficulty even reaching the limit of the blood energy realm.

But he finally achieved ample blood energy. Although his physical body was old, he had become strong after all.

However, Peter passed the hurdle of igniting the heart fire very easily.

He was over eighty years old, and his life had been relatively smooth. He didn’t have many desires originally, but Peter always yearned for more knowledge. Life is limited, but knowledge is infinite; this was his greatest regret.

When trying to ignite the Heart Fire, the longing for knowledge and the pursuit of wisdom in Peter’s heart erupted suddenly, actually igniting the blood energy in an instant and achieving the Heart Fire Realm.

Not long after entering the Heart Fire Realm, Peter tried to keep the Heart Fire constantly suspended. Just the day before yesterday, he had just advanced to the Heart Reflection Realm, becoming a standard Level 1 Life.

This also completely exhausted the blood energy Ace had given him. Peter also turned into a middle-aged man who looked forty or fifty years old.

Relying on Ace’s disguise, he still maintained his elderly appearance. A few days ago, he even feigned death to escape, leaving Medimus City and arriving at the nearby Des Town.

As a supernatural being, Peter also felt the evil power erupting from the north. It was an undisguised evil, so pure and terrible.

“The city-state is probably no longer safe. I originally wanted to find a way to take a ship to Thoth City-State to find Ace after faking my death, but it seems difficult to make the trip now. Perhaps I can only go to Tsmali first. If it really doesn’t work, I’ll take a ship to leave Salia.”

Peter thought for a while, hired a carriage, and also hurried towards Tsmali.

…

Ronamos had already walked out of the temple of the Son of the Ocean, Pontos. His face didn’t look good. Pontos used the excuse that his old injuries hadn’t healed to refuse lending a hand.

Although Ronamos explained the pros and cons earnestly, Pontos insisted on refusing, leaving him helpless.

He turned into a stream of light and flew back to Medimus City. Since things had come to this, Ronamos could only prepare to fight the strong enemy alone. Not long after He left, the Witch of Lust also left Tsmali. She looked at the stream of light, her eyes shifting, wondering what she was thinking.

Abyss Projection, Demon Lair.

The projection of the Grand Prince Dorkabach had adapted to this environment. He stepped forward slowly. His steps were firm, causing the earth to shake. Luther, observing at the border, almost felt blood rushing to his brain, his whole body trembling.

Invisible whispers lingered in his ears. The amulet on his chest shattered with a pop. The power of Mimicry Virtue quickly covered his brain, restoring him to normal.

“It’s too terrifying. Just observing from an ultra-long distance almost drove me into madness. This kind of power is simply unmatched.”

While feeling fear after the event, he sent the information back to the High Tower.

Ace had also observed Dorkabach’s movements. Seeing him heading south, he couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. However, after thinking it over, he felt uneasy and decided to follow from a distance to observe the situation.

“The northern states seem to have no power to resist. According to Holiness Thoth, the Five Northern Gods seem to have all gone to the battlefield outside the world. In other words, if Dorkabach defeats Medimus City-State, we might really be surrounded by demons.”

He looked worried, unwilling to sit and wait for death, so he decided to follow and observe from afar, waiting for an opportunity to act.

Ronamos also felt the enemy getting closer and closer. He cursed Tedus hatefully. It was all because of Tedus’s betrayal that the city-state’s authority was now running low.

He was forced to go north alone to confront the Prince of the Abyss, Dorkabach.

Ronamos’s domain was Drama, and his demigon Noble Phantasm was “Ronamos’s Dream Theater.” Against enemies weaker than himself, this noble phantasm allowed him to weave scripts at will and manipulate the opponent.

But against enemies stronger than himself, it was very weak. If the opponent did not enter the “script” according to his rhythm, it was difficult for him to exert its power.

The more complex and twisting the script setup, the greater the power, but also the harder the realization. The simpler the script setup, the smaller the power, but it was also very easy to achieve the goal.

Ronamos dared not be arrogant. His intention was to hold the city-state without losing it. He decided to design a relatively simple “script” to lure the opponent into performing actions or behaviors expected by the “script.”

These behaviors would accumulate the power of Ronamos’s Noble Phantasm, delivering a heavy blow to the opponent at the ending.

Ronamos looked at the approaching projection of Dorkabach and wrote in the script:

“Act One: The projection of Dorkabach moves towards my position rapidly. The projection of Dorkabach attacks me; I dodge and counterattack him. We are in a stalemate.

“Act Two: I throw out the Graceful Binding. The projection of Dorkabach enters the trap and cannot break free for a moment. But he subsequently uses methods to break free from the binding, and the two of us continue to fight.

“Act Three: Dorkabach will touch the Seal of Love during the battle, thereby triggering the Seal of Love, and be suppressed and sealed.”
