Chapter 502: Weaving
Ronamos looked a bit bewildered. Although He was a Demigod, He was only proficient in the Drama Domain. While He had some methods of prophecy, He had absolutely no chance to use them right now.
He stared at Pontos, watching Pontos slowly retreat. At the same time, after the sealed Prince of the Abyss transformed into a mountain peak, He gathered the remnants of the Noble Phantasm “Ronamos’s Script” and turned to leave.
“The feeling just now was indeed a Star Creature. It’s just that Star Creatures are usually born as Demigods. This one was only an Epic Hero—a bit weak.
“Also, he came to ambush Pontos. Logically speaking, he should have come to help me. Why did he grab a torn page of my script and run away?
“Although this is my Noble Phantasm, it’s useless without the cooperation of the grand theater. Even if it’s taken away, my script can regenerate. What is the benefit of doing this?”
Ronamos couldn’t figure it out no matter how hard He thought. He tried to perform a prophecy, but the conclusion always pointed to a certain star in the southern sky. Finally, He shook His head and turned back.
Meanwhile, Ace had returned to the temple in Thoth City-State. He unhesitatingly requested Thoth’s protection and concealment. Thoth’s power had reached its peak. He said, amused and annoyed:
“With you inside my temple, the opponent cannot effectively prophesy your situation. But I asked you to have Him owe a favor. Why did you snatch a torn page of His Noble Phantasm?”
Ace whispered: “I found His Drama Domain very interesting, somewhat similar to the Dream Domain, so I wanted to study it.”
He concealed his feelings and judgments regarding fate, only mentioning the Dream Domain.
Thoth floated in the main hall of the temple. The pure golden light all over his body gradually turned pale green, then returned to pure gold, repeating in this way. The Divine Foundation had turned into a crystal-clear ball of light, surrounded by mathematical symbols.
He calmed his breath and said gently to Ace:
“Now that you mention it, Drama does have some similarities with Dream. Perhaps it can really benefit you. But whether it’s Dream or Drama, the potential is ultimately limited.
“You are a pioneer of the magical path. You should concentrate your energy on the path of the Wizard. I heard you pioneered the Path of Profession, which is very good.
“Our world is now facing a great war, a time when people are needed. If a large number of Legendary or even Demigod level Wizards can be born, I am confident in persuading the God King to formally accept you and place you under the wings of the gods.”
Ace bowed respectfully: “It all depends on Your Holiness’s care.”
Thoth waved his hand. Ace immediately understood His meaning and turned to wait in the side hall. He found a stone chair, sat down, closed his eyes, and sank his mind into his mental imagery world.
The scroll of “Ronamos’s Script Torn Page” floated in the Dream Starry Sky Universe. Ace’s True Spirit descended and touched it gently, the scene of that battle flashing through his mind.
White light flickered in his eyes. The “Eye of True Knowledge” activated, observing the torn page seriously.
This torn page was broken by about one-tenth. Touching it with his hand, its material seemed to be made from the hide of some creature, and this creature should be a Level 4 Existence.
Otherwise, it could not carry the domain power of Level 4 Mystery.
Ace observed carefully while recalling the scene at that time. A word flashed in his mind: “Weaving.”
“If I’m not mistaken, the so-called Drama can be said to consist of three parts: Script, Actor, and Stage. Without a doubt, the situation of that battle was written on this script page—very simple and complete.
“That is, first design the script and determine the actors. Then, when the actors act according to the first act of the script, they enter the stage and move step by step towards the ending of the script?”
The threads with the power of fate that flashed during the battle convinced him that this should be the process. Perhaps the details were different, but the general direction should be correct.
After all, drama is a mature art form, and its basic structure is fixed, including the script. The simplest three-act play model is also fixed.
Act One: Cause; Act Two: Conflict; Act Three: Climax or Resolution.
Almost all events can be attributed to this. Waiting with nothing to do, Ace simply tried to replicate the effect of the Drama Domain in his Dream Starry Sky.
The stage was ready-made; the entire Dream Starry Sky was the biggest and best stage. The actors were also ready-made; as long as it connected to “Fantasia,” a large number of dream lives within it could serve as actors.
“The key still lies in the script. The strongest power of Drama lies in invisible manipulation. Once there is a stage, and the actors enter the stage without knowing it and act according to the beginning of the script, the power of fate appears!”
Ace’s eyes burned. He was very curious about this power and wanted to experience it very much.
As far as Ace knew, no god in the Kaya World had mastered the great domain of Fate. Most had dabbled in various areas. He didn’t intend to master it completely either, but borrowing a part to integrate into his Dream Manifestation Domain would still be very useful.
Time passed day by day. Ace stayed quietly in the side hall, studying and replicating that script page. He tried roasting the torn page with the Glazed Heart Fire and actually melted the torn page into liquid.
The rune structures within lost their carrier; some disintegrated, and some degraded, turning into Level 3 Runes that Ace could effectively observe.
Runes surrounded Ace’s True Spirit one by one. Under his manipulation, they constantly rose, fell, and combined, finally turning into a somewhat incomplete spell model that merged into the liquid formed from the torn page.
After a while, a magnificent spindle appeared in front of Ace. He grasped it firmly and unfolded it slowly.
“According to common logic, I should weave a script like Ronamos and manipulate the fate of the stage.”
Ace landed casually at a spot in the dream earth center and waved his pen to write the plot. Threads appeared on the spindle. Because the difference in status was too disparate, the dream lives acted out the bizarre plot woven by Ace as if it were completely natural.
Until the plot ended, like a strange dream, everyone woke up from the dream at a loss. Meanwhile, Ace held a silver thread in his hand, his eyes flickering with white light.
“This is indeed the aura of fate. Although very weak, there can be no mistake. besides that, there is also an extremely thin aura of the Great Source, only somewhat false. Hmm?”
Ace perceived carefully and slowly discovered the difference. Not only was this Great Source aura false, but even the fate aura was false. To be precise, these were only real in the dream; they were false everywhere else.
“It seems I must use reality for it to work? Setting up the stage in a real place… perhaps I can use the method of dream overlay. As for actors, try using real humans and animals from the Kaya World.”
Ace opened his eyes, almost wanting to rush out of the side hall to experiment immediately. But he realized right away that now was not the time to go out.
Just then, Thoth’s aura grew stronger and stronger. A ray of magnificent light bloomed from the main hall. A crystal-clear Divine Domain condensed and floated into the sky.
This was a necessary step. Only by combining His Divine Domain with heaven and earth could Thoth achieve immortality.
