Chapter 541: World Ruins

Just as Warren and his disciple Thales were heading to the dark red planet, many “bubbles” appeared successively inside the world, each containing various things.

The most numerous were still land fragments. There were small isolated islands no more than ten ka (a unit of area) in radius, and there were also subcontinents comparable to the Totem Continent. Besides that, there was a whole iceberg, reflecting brilliant light under the direct sunlight, which was very beautiful.

Apart from land and water, some “bubbles” were very strange, such as a super long spear about a hundred ka long, whose tip had broken off leaving only the shaft. There were also some bizarre corpses, with millions of human-shaped corpses piled together, looking somewhat terrifying under the sunlight. And there were several astral creatures of alien species still retaining some warmth, looking like super-giant bugs, with four thin insect wings, twelve claws, and extremely thick mouthparts.

The abdomen of the “big bug” astral creature had a tear up to four hundred meters long, extremely smooth, as if it had been slashed open entirely by someone. The internal organs inside the abdomen had turned into a mess of blood and gore.

Warren and Thales both discovered this strange spectacle. They observed carefully with the magified telescope, clicking their tongues in wonder.

Looking at that terrifying giant bug and the boundless corpses, Thales said with a pale face: “What’s going on? Why did so many starry sky bubbles suddenly appear, and the things inside are so weird?”

Warren smiled, patted Thales’s shoulder heartily, and said: “This is the result of the powerhouses of our world scavenging outside the world.”

As a Legendary Wizard, and the wizard who invented the Warren Torsion Balance and weighed the geocenter, as soon as he advanced, he received a notification from the “Dream God” to go to the Celestial Realm within ten years, and learned about his rights and obligations in detail.

As a Legendary Wizard, a top figure in the Bernard World, he could enjoy a fixed quota of Fate Point resources, and could descend to this world with his true body.

Because of the high level difference with the Kaya World, a Legendary Wizard who could live for about three thousand years in the Kaya World would have their lifespan greatly extended in this world. The exact amount was not estimated, but conservatively it was close to five to six hundred thousand years.

The reason lay in the energy level difference of the time flow rate. Warren wasn’t quite clear on the specifics; it was all judged by the astrological prophecies of Ace and Bayen.

However, he was not in a hurry to descend with his true body. Although it was said that one needed to quickly fuse with their true body after advancing, after all, ten years here was ten days in the Kaya World, so it wasn’t a big problem.

Once his body and soul were integrated, he would need to shoulder the mission in this Bernard World, becoming an astral scavenger to collect more resources for the development of the world.

Betty seemed to hate this name very much. In a letter from the Supreme Council of the Magic Council, she specifically emphasized that they were “Astral Hunters.”

Seeing these few “big bugs” this time, calling them Astral Hunters seemed somewhat plausible.

Thales still didn’t quite understand. After Warren explained a few words to him, he gradually understood and said with a look of yearning: “I didn’t expect you to also be a member of the great Astral Hunters, Teacher. I feel that only Hunters are worthy of the title of Legendary Wizards. Hunting in the endless Astral Plane to increase the total mass for the world is far better than us people struggling to survive inside the world.”

Warren rubbed his head and smiled, saying: “As long as you work hard, even a Mage will have a chance. Many Fourth Ring and Third Ring wizards have already participated in this hunt. Theoretically, as long as it’s within the range of the Magic Net, Fourth Ring and Third Ring Mages can also participate in hunting and scavenging.”

Thales’s eyes shone. Excitedly looking at the alien big bugs in the “bubbles” through the telescope, he said solemnly: “I will definitely work hard.”

The light wings of the Starry Sky Butterfly vibrated slightly. They had already approached the dark red planet. Affected by the planet’s gravity, Warren manipulated the Starry Sky Butterfly to retract the light wings. The flying machine slowly approached the orbit and slowly revolved around the dark red planet.

Just as they approached the planet, outside the world, the Celestial Realm.

Six Legendary Wizards—Betty, Daina, Arno, Witte, Bayen, and Laval—were all gathered here. Daina had just obtained ruling power on a habitable planet last year, successfully using her Steel Fists to obtain Level 3 Status.

As for Laval, he had once published a series of papers on weighing gases, and in the Bernard World, he made astonishing achievements. After weighing and arranging the elements, he created the highly regular Periodic Table of Elements, and by following the clues, discovered several new elements, opening a new chapter in elemental magic.

Because of this achievement, Ace’s clone and the “Dream God” adjudicated to bestow upon him resources sufficient to advance to Level 3, becoming a Level 3 Legendary Wizard in one fell swoop.

The six of them had just led more than forty Level 2 Wizards in a genuine major battle. Initially, Betty discovered a faint material reaction. The group, who hadn’t had a harvest in the starry sky for almost five years, was very excited and drove the entire world cluster to move there.

The closer they got, the more excited everyone became. The material reaction there was extremely strong, meaning there were many things.

About two months later, the world cluster had approached there. In the empty and silent Astral Void, various fragments floated quietly. There were large pieces and small pieces, ice crystals and dirt, and even piles of corpses.

“This place must have experienced unusually cruel events. Perhaps in years unknown to us, scenes of blood took place, eventually leading to the shattering of the world, leaving only empty wreckage.”

Looking at the three-dimensional picture presented by the magic panorama, Bayen couldn’t help stroking his long beard and sighing.

His main body’s descent and fusion with this body specifically preserved this long beard.

Daina said very vigilantly: “According to the Dream God’s feedback, there seem to be signs of living creatures moving ahead. We’d better activate the Eye of the World to observe carefully.”

Betty frowned and said: “Lord Ace only left a planned blueprint. Currently, this Eye of the World is only completed for a small part. As a magical megastructure project, it is still unfinished. I’m afraid its observation power is limited.”

Daina insisted: “Let’s see if we can observe it first. If we crash into it without observing and there really is a Level 4 existence, it would be disastrous.”

They discussed for a while and finally decided to activate the semi-finished Eye of the World. It was a megastructure metal ring attached to the crystal wall of the Celestial Realm. Upon activation, it slowly stood up in the Magic Net, and a huge eye emerged in the hollow of the ring.

That eye shot out countless blue rays, quickly sweeping across this shattered world wreckage that looked like a meteor swarm. In less than a quarter of an hour, several figures turned bright red under the blue light, looking like super-giant bugs, with four thin insect wings, twelve claws, and extremely thick mouthparts.

The magic panorama immediately displayed an assessment: [Level 3 Existence, Extremely Dangerous!].

At the same time, the Dream God also recorded the information of this strange creature. As the discoverer, Daina named it the “Four-Winged Demon Bug.”

Those big bugs also discovered the Bernard World Cluster, emitting undetectable ripples. Fortunately, shrouded by the blue light of the Eye of the World, these ripples had nowhere to hide.

Bayen said: “They seem to be communicating and have already discovered us. We must take action first.”

The few people exchanged glances, tacitly reported to Ace again, and attacked simultaneously.

They didn’t break away from the world cluster too far. Except for Daina, who was stationed in the Celestial Realm to communicate, the others all attacked, attempting to hunt down the bugs. Because they didn’t understand the characteristics of this kind of demon bug, almost all of them used their killer moves right from the start.

For a time, scorching flames, extreme cold temperatures, elemental vortexes, astrological foresight—various magics were activated.

Bayen was proficient in astrology, gravity, and prophecy. He easily dodged the bugs’ attacks and predicted the bugs’ possible movements and abilities, but suffered from having no killer move to destroy the bugs.

Laval’s elemental vortex was extremely powerful, but he was, after all, a newly advanced Legend, and usually focused mostly on research, rarely fighting. Half of his leg was bitten off directly by a bug. If Betty hadn’t rescued him quickly, he might have perished here.

Arno himself was powerful. The power of Abomination transforming into a griffon was even more majestic. Fighting two bugs alone, he actually didn’t fall to a disadvantage.

As for the Lich Witte, a female head flew beside him, spewing negative energy breath. The bug fighting him gradually became sluggish in its movements.

Bayen lured the big bug on his side towards Arno and engaged in the spell “Telepathic Communication” with Arno .

“I know the bug’s weakness, but my attack power is not enough. Let’s cooperate, split fifty-fifty!”

Arno agreed without hesitation. Under Bayen’s guidance, he tangled with the bug. Suddenly, he broke away from the griffon body. The Abomination in his hand turned into a sharp blade. He was teleported by Bayen via flash to the tightly shrunk abdomen of the bug. The sharp blade slashed across the white line of the abdomen, cutting the giant bug’s belly open smoothly. Then, stirring the Abomination blade inside, the internal organs turned into black water.

The giant bug howled silently, slowly losing its mobility. The Magic Net threads subsequently entangled it, and before long, dragged the giant bug to the edge of the world, wrapping it in a bubble split from the crystal wall.

Bayen simply used mass telepathy, directing everyone to attack the giant bugs’ weaknesses and avoid their terrifying mouthparts. Finally, except for Laval losing a leg, everyone else safely killed these seven giant bugs.

Seeing the bad situation, the remaining few actually abandoned this shattered world ruin and flew away in an unknown direction.

Because the distance from the world was too far, Bayen and the others didn’t pursue. They first sent Laval back to the Celestial Realm to recuperate. Although regenerating a leg was not difficult, it still took a few months. Not everyone had Ace’s instantaneous regeneration secret art.

Daina then took more than forty Level 2 Wizards out of the Celestial Realm and began collecting valuable fragments one after another.

The so-called value referred to various things with extremely strong supernatural energy reactions. If it was just large in volume but the supernatural energy had been exhausted, it wasn’t worth collecting instead.

While chattering about precautions through telepathy, Bayen sighed that astral hunting was only a small part of the work, and the main work was still astral scavenging, which made Betty stomp her feet in anger and walk away.

This piece of shattered world ruin was distributed very fragmentarily, and occasionally some mutated supernatural creatures would “wake up” within it. So after collecting some items, they decided to summarize first, mobilize more Level 2 Wizards and a certain Level 3 Wizard within the world, and have the Level 3 Wizard lead the team to scavenge together.

As the rotating chairman, Bayen sat in the main seat and asked Daina amiably: “Is there still no movement from Lord Ace?”

Daina shook her head and said: “No, it seems the refinement of that item hasn’t been completed yet.”

Bayen nodded and said: “Because Lord Ace has no time for the time being, I am responsible for presiding over this meeting of the Supreme Council of the Magic Council. First is the first item: we need to recall the only top-tier power wandering outside within the world to immediately shoulder the heavy responsibility of scavenging!”

Except for Betty, who had objections to the word “scavenging,” the others had no objections. After it was unanimously approved, the Level 3 Wizards appointed Warren’s good friend, Level 2 Wizard Sulu, to go into the world to recall Warren.

“The second topic: conscripting Level 2 powerhouses on a global scale, including but not limited to Wizards, Sorcerers, Warriors, Knights, Vampires, Mages, and Priests.”

Bayen looked around and continued.

Everyone discussed for a while and finally decided not to conscript Priests, but to conscript all the others together and throw them into the vigorous world scavenging operation.

Only Arno seemed to be discussing something with Bayen. Faintly, words like “Ancestar… try to contact… Ace…” could be heard.

…

While they were discussing eagerly, in the Dream Realm, Ace had already refined all the dust and gas of the nebula completely.

The overall quality of the nebula was a Demi-god Level of Level 4 mystery. Looking separately, any speck of dust was also of Level 4 mystery. Moreover, the entire nebula seemed to breathe, possessing a mysterious throb that was intoxicating.

Ace waved the Gravitational Torsion Balance in his hand. At the same time, he activated the Seventh Ring Mythical Spell “Time Manipulation.” The time flow rate inside the entire Dream Realm accelerated tremendously.

Rumble!

Like a bolt from the blue, a primitive mechanical clock phantom appeared behind Ace. As the pendulum swung rapidly, the hands accelerated turning circle after circle. His Divine Power was consumed rapidly, having to rely on wisps of Source Power to supplement it. The entire nebula also underwent drastic changes.

Because of the Gravitational Torsion Balance’s alteration of gravitational attraction and distortion of gravity, small stars appeared successively in the nebula. Every star emitted a scorching brilliance, intoxicating the heart.

A total of thirteen stars, exactly equal to the number of Ace’s previous Calamity Sword Star, but the quality was worlds apart. Every star was a Demigod Level Noble Phantasm, all possessing the First Flame of the sun of the Bernard World, which couldn’t be spoken of in the same breath.

After the stars gradually formed and stabilized, Ace waved the Gravitational Torsion Balance in his hand again. Invisible ripples passed through. Small planets and gas planets gradually formed, and comets, asteroids, and meteorite belts also appeared successively.

The entire nebula was an extremely complex celestial system. The nebula became thin, and the thirteen stars within it were exceptionally bright. Every star was also a complete stellar system, with stars, rocky planets, molten planets, gas giants, etc., all complete.

And for one of the stellar systems, Ace carved it with exceptional care. Among the thirteen stars, it was the main star, with the largest mass and the best quality, orbited by eight planets, sixty-seven moons, and nearly half a million asteroids.

Among the thirteen stellar systems, this stellar system almost occupied half the power of the entire nebula. Ace looked at it, actually tearing up slightly. Memories of his previous life suddenly surged like the tide. After achieving Demigod, all his memories were exceptionally clear.

Some people chose to forget when achieving Level 4, while others, like Ace, memorized forcefully. Ace, who hadn’t shed tears for a long time, choked with emotion and said: “G2V Yellow Main-Sequence Star, the Sun, possessing eight planets, namely Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.”
