Chapter 597: Above the Pinnacle

“This… is fake, right?”

The Salia Gods had long gathered in one place. The Goddess of Elegance, Medea, subconsciously muttered.

“With this kind of power, as long as the Titan Main Gods don’t appear, He is simply invincible in the Prime Material Plane. His Holiness the Main God is too powerful.”

The God of Great Strength, Norton, couldn’t help but say.

The God of Craftsmen nodded and said solemnly: “The Magic Net is a foregone conclusion. And not only that, wizards and magic are also due for a great revival. Perhaps our Main God’s Divine Name should also add the title of God of Magic.”

Outside the floating city, the wizards of the Supreme Council had already floated out, observing with various magical instruments.

Warren conjured an extremely complex mana detector, which turned into scrap metal amidst continuous blaring alarms. He didn’t care in the slightest, took out backup equipment, and wearing a pair of highly modern-looking sunglasses, exclaimed:

“The energy at this level is simply too terrifying! According to observations, the core temperature is at least a hundred million degrees. It seems even a divine body would melt within five milliseconds. Moreover, there isn’t just high temperature; it seems there’s also an unknown power bursting out almost simultaneously with the high temperature. The specifics are unclear.

“This seems to possess extremely strong lethality against souls.”

Betty transformed extremely complex mechanical equipment. As a Mythical Wizard specializing in thermodynamics and alchemy (mechanical direction), Betty’s mechanical observation equipment was also quite exquisite.

The silver-gray disk beneath her feet had already turned into a fluid state, and a super-large, streamlined, integrated magical mecha standing nearly twenty meters tall formed in an instant, with various observation equipment also emerging.

“The core temperature is 111.2 million degrees. According to estimates, a core temperature reaching 80 million degrees is enough to completely melt a divine body. A divine soul also cannot reside in this kind of temperature for long. If it exceeds ten minutes, the divine soul’s force field will be destroyed, leading to irreversible decay.

“Furthermore, this explosion is not just high temperature. It seems there are extremely miniscule particles bursting out in a shockwave, disintegrating the highly concentrated mana condensation that is the divine soul from a microscopic level.

“As for the subsequent thermal shockwave, it is actually secondary, though of course, it cannot be ignored either. If Lord Ace hadn’t used a gravitational force field to twist that sphere, the shockwave would have spread 1.2 seconds after the explosion, covering one-third of the earth core within ten minutes.

“The impact would be divided into three stages. Within a radius of about ten thousand kayas, the temperature would reach as high as ten million degrees. Even a Legendary Wizard would be vaporized instantly and cease to exist.

“After that, the temperature would gradually decrease. Those at the Golden Wizard level should be able to survive; if they activated spatial magic in time, there would basically be no problem.

“But existences below Golden would probably not be spared. In other words, that would be an extinction-level strike.”

Listening to Betty’s analysis, the wizards couldn’t help but gasp in shock. Bayen’s eyes shone brightly, and he said softly: “I wonder if we have a chance to master this magic. If we can…”

“We definitely couldn’t achieve such powerful might, but if we understand the principles within, a degraded approximation might work. Perhaps in the future, a large number of Legendary Wizards will be beating True Gods into slumber.”

Daina looked at that sealed fireball with reverent eyes, speaking with considerable confidence.

“The prerequisite for all this is to first reconstruct our mental imagery worlds and demi-planes according to relativity. This is not an easy project.”

Witte, who had turned into a youth at some unknown point, spoke in a clear and ringing voice.

“Right now, it’s actually not that difficult. Magical Mechanics is actually the low-speed approximation of Special Relativity. It’s just that according to Lord Ace, perhaps there is still General Relativity? Here we need to ponder two questions: Can gravity exceed the speed of light? And what is an inertial frame of reference?”

Bayen raised new doubts. This was also the reason why He had delayed making major changes; since changes had to be made, it was better to do it all at once.

While the wizards were discussing, all the spectating Kaya Gods, demons, devils, and a portion of the Elven Gods who hadn’t participated in the siege, all shuddered with fear. Although it hadn’t truly killed any deities, such a strike possessing the power to plunge over a thousand deities into slumber was something no deity could ignore. The Magic Net taking root on the inner side of the world became the general trend at this moment, unable to be changed anymore.

At the distant North Pole of the earth core, the newly born Goddess of Hope, Athena, watched the dazzling flash of light blooming in the south, Her Fruit of Immortality stirring slightly.

“Is it Ace? He’s become even more formidable again.”

The Goddess of Hope, Athena, had a graceful posture and a beautiful figure; every pose and movement seemed to carry the hope of the world. But Her state was very strange; Her eyes flashed with green light from time to time.

“I must destroy all the immortal fragments of the deceased Goddess of Hope. I am the only Goddess of Hope.”

Her shadow quivered slightly; it seemed a voice was urging Her.

In the southern sea region of the Salia Peninsula, Ace continued to pull with gravity, highly concentrating this mass of energy. Under the effect of gravity, an extremely miniscule black hole actually gradually formed.

Ace looked at that miniature black hole, tilting His head slightly. The three remaining Elven Main Gods—having experienced the incomparably cruel nuclear fission chain reaction, having withstood the ultra-high temperature of 110 million degrees, having struggled to survive the neutron impacts, having endured the reciprocating thermal shockwaves, and having faced the radioactive rays and light radiation—were left with only barely intact divine souls.

Just as one of Them was about to say something, Ace waved His hand. The miniature black hole slowly rotated, suddenly becoming smaller, and its rotation speed became extremely fast.

According to relativity, the mass of an object is relative; the faster the speed, the greater the mass.

Immense gravity erupted from the miniature black hole. The divine souls of the three Elven Main Gods seemed to be saying something, but They were only gradually stretched out, without emitting any sound.

With the gravity of a black hole from which even light struggles to escape, sound was even harder to escape. They ultimately could not escape the fate of a long slumber, being swept into that miniature black hole and disappearing.

Silence reigned. All the deities watching from afar held their breath. The Goddess of Beautiful Desire was so shocked She forgot to close Her mouth, involuntarily saying: “To actually defeat six Elven Main Gods and over a thousand Elven True Gods all at once! Even Sovereigns couldn’t escape that pitch-black mass; it is truly too powerful, impossible to match.

“Below the Titan Main Gods, He should be the Number One God.”

…

On the outer side of the world, the Godfall Storm still permeated. Under the influence of this high-dimensional storm, all Level 6 existences lost the ability to observe the inner side of the world; no one knew what kind of drastic changes had occurred inside.

“The Godfall Storm has thoroughly disrupted the lines of fate, and we also happen to be unable to enter the inner side of the world. According to observations, it will take at least three hundred years, or even longer, for the storm to reach its climax, and the two worlds will truly squeeze together.

“The crystal wall of the elves’ half of the world will crash into the crystal wall of the inner side of the world, causing a shock. Then we can enter normally.”

Near the Wall of Sighs in the Underworld, the biological son of the World Tree, His Holiness Orlas, turned to face several other Titan Main Gods and said loudly.

He always maintained the appearance of a youth, dressed entirely in emerald green, wearing a crown woven from tender branches of the World Tree on His head.

“Your Holiness Orlas, You are the biological son of the World Tree, the first living being born from the World Tree. Can You not spur the World Tree to accelerate this process?”

The Archduke of Lust, with skin like congealed fat and an exquisite figure, said charmingly, seemingly hinting at something.

The other Titan Main Gods had different expressions, all looking at Orlas in silence.

Orlas sighed and said in a low voice: “I wish I could. Regrettably, I do not have this ability. All this is not something our level of strength can reverse. If possible, I certainly want to accelerate this process, especially since the World Tree is almost dying, and the hope of the Elf World has disappeared.”

The Goddess of Life, Linas, couldn’t help but ask: “Your Holiness Orlas, what do You mean by this? What does it mean that hope has disappeared?”

She had entrusted a portion of Her laws to the World Tree, so naturally, She did not want any untoward accidents to happen to the World Tree.

Oras said solemnly: “We originally didn’t want to proceed with the Great Impact so quickly, but it seems a certain existence in the Kaya World stole the Law of Hope of the Elf World and became the new God of Hope in Kaya.

“Having lost hope, the World Tree and the Elf World must immediately merge with the Kaya World, and we also need to find that God of Hope.”

Linas’s face looked ugly. She exchanged a glance with the King of the Underworld, Lamor. Lamor said: “Kaya’s Hope already had Her Fruit of Immortality shattered by God King Kronos, and Her domain turned into countless fragments. Did someone resurrect Her, or did someone usurp Hope?”

The Sea King, Gana, said in a booming voice: “Perhaps it’s a scheme by those brothers and sisters on the Kaya Divine Mountain?”

The Kaya Divine Mountain. The formerly bustling Divine Mountain appeared very desolate. Most of the gods had already descended to the inner side of the world; only a few Titan Main Gods remained here.

The entire Divine Mountain shook for a moment, and a grand aura transmitted—an indescribable majesty. The Titan Main Gods sensed it, and one after another, their true bodies appeared in the Kaya Pantheon.

The Lady of the Night took off the crown on Her head and respectfully handed it to a heroic man in a white robe.

“Welcome back, Your Majesty the God King.”

…

On the inner side of the world, Ace directly brought that miniature black hole into His sub-plane’s galactic universe, placing it at the edge of the galactic center.

The Space-Time Mythal outside the sub-plane still trapped hundreds of Elven Outer Gods. They were given another “fireworks display” by Ace and all fell into a long slumber. For a time, the power of the Outer Gods suffered a massive blow, and all the Kaya Gods spontaneously attacked the Reflection World.

The situation could be described as taking a sharp turn for the worse. Probably even the attacking Elven Gods hadn’t expected Their siege to end so dramatically. While the gods frantically purified the Reflection World, the Magic Net finally densely covered the entire inner side of the world.

From the surface of the earth core to its depths, then to the boundless starry sky, and then to the endless, deathly still Reflection World—wherever there was supernatural energy, there was the Magic Net.

Like plucking a bowstring, the Magic Net began to internalize within the Prime Material Plane, gradually becoming an inseparable part.

After the Magic Net completely internalized as a part of the Prime Material Plane, Ace felt as if He had gained more favor from the Great Source somewhere in the unseen world. To use an analogy, it was as if He had obtained official recognition acknowledged by the world.

“When I was the Sovereign of Dreams, the world did not share with me this kind of Great Source power that comes as a natural blessing. But with the Magic Net, I seem to be similar to deities like the Sun God, the Moon Goddess, and the Earth Mother Goddess, having a physical counterpart on the inner side of the world. The Magic Net and I are like two sides of the same coin, and thus I have received ‘wages’ bestowed by the Great Source?”

Feeling the gurgling Source Power generated from nothingness in His sub-plane, Ace felt somewhat emotional for a moment. Relying on acquired effort, He had actually obtained a status akin to a world-creating god. Furthermore, Ace could feel the Great Source’s encouragement, or rather, temptation, wanting Him to densely cover the entire Kaya World with the Magic Net.

Ace closed His eyes. His mind followed this mysterious rhythm of the Great Source, drifting lightly into the world’s rule layer. This was the first time Ace had entered the rule layer of the Kaya World since becoming a Sovereign.

The Law of Comprehension activated at this moment. The ahoge on top of His head twitched slightly, allowing Ace to see a different scene.

Thirteen Titan Main Gods, two otherworld Elven Titan Main Gods; fifteen law brands floated at the highest layer. On either side of them were the demon brands and the devil brands respectively.

Further down were the various Sovereign Laws. Among them, the Law of the Magic Net was impressively at the very top, closer to the upper layer than the Law of Dreams.

Ace opened His eyes again and had already returned to His sub-plane.

“Is this a hint from the Great Source? The Law of the Magic Net has the potential to become the next Supreme Law? This also helps understand the situation of demons and devils. The Archdukes among demons and devils can possess their respective mimicry laws, but they can never possess true laws, because they are restricted from the foundation.

“Could it be understood like this?

“The Abyss and Hell are actually both living entities, a kind of collectivized consciousness. The reason demons and devils have such strong Abyss and Hell characteristics is actually because they are influenced by this collectivized consciousness?”

Shaking His head, Ace stopped His train of thought. What He needed to solve at the current stage was not the Abyss and Hell, but to consolidate the position of the Magic Net on the inner side of the world, and to rely on the powerful deterrence of plunging over a thousand deities into slumber this time to obtain an almost monopolistic ruling position.

“If one wants to become a Titan Main God, it’s best to be able to experience similar power. Without a doubt, becoming the co-lord of the inner side of the world—even a temporary co-lord—will very likely grant the power of a pseudo-status Titan Main God.”

With a thought, Ace immediately took action.

Time passed quickly. Within a short three years, He forcefully annihilated several deities who refused to swear the vow, plunging Them into slumber. Ultimately, He established an alliance of deities full of hidden dangers and impure motives—an alliance based on the Magic Net and acknowledging Ace’s leadership position.

This alliance was very loose. What Ace sought was just a name—the name of commanding the inner side of the world. Through the Magic Net and Ace’s fierce reputation of annihilating a thousand gods, He got what He wished for.

The existing four thousand deities on the entire inner side of the world all swore the vow, and all humans collectively offered sacrifices.

This caused intense feedback from the Great Source. The entire inner side of the world was jubilant; there seemed to be joyful music celebrating the birth of yet another brand-new leader of humans and gods on the inner side of the world.

“Too superficial, too superficial. His Holiness Ace has taken too big a step. This kind of alliance has too many hidden dangers.”

Looking at Ace, who was shrouded by the power of the Great Source, Bayen muttered.

Thoth took a step forward and said to Bayen: “His Holiness Ace probably wants to seize the moment when all the Supreme Gods are absent to experience pseudo-supreme status. Perhaps in His Holiness Ace’s eyes, this loose alliance with many hidden dangers is fundamentally just a tool.”
