Chapter 326: Outer God Ace

Alex laughed heartily. The power of the entire Abyssal Projection territory gathered, blessing his body. A powerful coercion gradually condensed. This was essentially the Power of Authority, similar to the authority blessing of a city-state.

However, the Power of Authority of a city-state was harvested by the patron deity, and the king was merely the gatekeeper of the authority. Alex, on the other hand, enjoyed the authority for himself. He was the Lord of the Abyssal Projection recognized by the Abyssal Archon Dorkabach. With the blessing of the Power of Authority, his strength skyrocketed and broke through, becoming a Pseudo-High Demon.

“Today, let the Witch of Lust taste the power of a High Demon and see if I am afraid.”

For a moment, clouds cleared and rain stopped, heaven and earth overturned. Sauron stood by the side, motionless like a statue.

After a long while, Alex looked satisfied, and the Witch’s face was full of shyness.

Alex said heroically: “A tiny mortal force, I can destroy it with a flip of my hand. But don’t deceive me again, or even if I can’t bear to part with your delicate body, I’ll have to steel my heart.”

The Witch giggled and burrowed into Alex’s arms, chuckling without speaking.

The next day, the Witch took Sauron and left Alex’s Abyssal Projection Lair. Sauron asked in a somewhat stiff voice, “Aren’t we afraid of Alex’s revenge for doing this?”

The Witch looked back with a charming smile and whispered: “Alex? He’s just my pawn. Wait until we complete our great goal…”

The Witch casually grabbed a passing Low-Level Monster, strangled its neck, and watched it slowly suffocate. With disgust and morbidity, she chuckled lightly and said: “Alex will also be easily crushed by us like this monster.”

She walked gracefully towards Sauron, gently hugged him, her shoulders trembling slightly.

Meanwhile, in Betty’s villa, the former Chief Magistrate and current Advanced Wizard Apprentice, Leon, was adjusting his meditation method.

After advancing to Advanced Wizard Apprentice, Leon clearly discovered something different about himself. When he observed himself with Mana Sensitivity, he could clearly see that his soul seemed to be surrounded by some kind of ethereal and strange aura.

That strange aura was sometimes vigorous and sometimes weak. Leon observed for three years and finally confirmed three months ago that when the strange thing was vigorous, it was his unlucky day, and when the strange aura was thin, Leon’s luck was often good.

“This damned strange aura is probably the source of my bad luck, and it easily increases once I get close to someone with higher status or strength than me!”

Leon confirmed with a bitter face.

“Self-pity is useless. The reason Wizards are Wizards is that we are people with the power of thought. No matter how strange this aura is, even if I can’t understand the principle behind it now, at least I have to find a way to use it!”

Leon’s idea was very clear. Since this strange aura could make him unlucky, it would likely make others unlucky too. He just had to find a way to taint others with this aura.

If successful, this might become one of his trump card spells.

Then, Leon conducted experiments. He tried to guide the strange aura and taint experimental animals with it.

After many experiments, Leon found that he could occasionally trigger the strange aura only in a meditative state.

After deeper research, Leon discovered that if he treated the strange aura as a celestial body, based on Lord Ace’s “Astral Projection Benefical State Hypothesis,” he could actually absorb the strange aura into his own Soul Sanctuary, becoming so-called Foreign Mana!

After this Foreign Mana was absorbed and digested by Leon’s Soul Sanctuary, it gradually changed Leon’s own Inherent Mana, forming a basically controllable special Mana.

“The Spell Models constructed with this special Inherent Mana all operate normally. The power appears equivalent to the original on the surface, with no apparent abnormalities, but in reality…”

Bang!

While speaking, Leon quickly constructed a Magic Missile and hit the leg of a Low-Level Monster. Under the vision of Mana Sensitivity, wisps of strange aura were diffusing from the monster’s leg.

Leon then attacked with different types of magic. The strange aura on the Low-Level Monster accumulated slowly. It frequently tripped on flat ground naturally, small accidents turning into major injuries, and finally choked to death while drinking water.

Leon was not excited; instead, cold sweat broke out on his back.

“This strange aura isn’t even as much as what’s on me, yet it caused such serious consequences. How have I survived until now?”

Leon fell into deep self-doubt, feeling cold all over for a moment. Finally, he reached a conclusion that wasn’t really a deduction: perhaps his constitution was extremely special, or there was something unknown that could suppress the strangeness within a certain range.

Leon used the strange aura as a celestial body for meditation, absorbing the omnipresent strange aura to improve himself. Finally, he confirmed two things.

He called the strange aura “Misfortune Aura” because it would only appear naturally when he or others were unlucky.

Only he could observe it with Mana Sensitivity; no one else could.

Meditation could absorb the omnipresent Misfortune Aura for his own use. After Leon absorbed the Misfortune Aura, the luck of other creatures would significantly improve within a certain period.

Just as Leon discovered this mysterious Misfortune Aura and researched its magical applications, Outside of the World, within the Pocket World, Ace was in the deep layer of the Pocket World, inside the world’s hidden “Source,” observing and replicating Level 2 Runes.

The rules were hidden. Even as the sole deity recognized by the Pocket World, Ace could not fully observe the changes in the Pocket World’s rules, that is, the Level 2 Runes.

He had to wrestle with the World Consciousness, fighting for opportunities to observe the Pocket World’s rules bit by bit.

“Although the World Consciousness has no intelligence, only some instinctive reactions, I cannot even forcefully oppose this kind of instinctive reaction. This power contrast is roughly equivalent to the suppression of a Level 2 Life by a Level 3 Life.

“To peep into the rules, I must find a way to consume more of the World Origin, even at the cost of the Pocket World suffering a major blow!”

As soon as the thought emerged, the situation changed drastically. Thunder rolled across the entire Pocket World, as if infinite demons were descending. Although the World Consciousness was equivalent to a Level 3 Life in terms of level, it was, after all, not a life form but a small world.

This situation meant the consciousness of the Pocket World could not mobilize all its power to oppose Ace. The complete extinction of the giant beasts left the Pocket World consciousness without intelligent race pawns to oppose Ace, making the situation extremely unfavorable for the World Consciousness.

The power of the entire world was accumulating continuously. It no longer welcomed Ace but loathed him, attempting to expel him. The Source even attempted to swallow Ace.

Amidst this roaring, Ace showed no fear. Layers of Runes flickered in his eyes, and the Eye of Truth in his Mental Imagery World was raised high into the sky.

Ace saw through the essence of the world. It could not mobilize Legendary-level (Level 3) power; it could only consume a large amount of origin to spawn a new Level 2 Life to expel Ace.

“I, Supreme God Ai, will abandon the world and shall become an Outer God, unbound by the World Origin.”
